BLOOMFIELD died suddenly of a coronary while
jogging on vacation in Northern Ireland, the land of his birth,
on April 19, 2005. Born on April 26, 1928, in Omagh, County Tyrone,
Robert attended Omagh Academy and later Campbell College in Belfast.
Robert pursued studies in medicine at Queens University in Belfast,
finishing with a M.B., B.C.H., D.R.C.O.G. and D.L.O. (Eng.).
While at University, Robert also distinguished himself in sport,
garnering numerous titles including captain of the university
field hockey team and captain of athletics. Robert immigrated
to Canada in 1959 and became a Fellow of the Royal College of
Surgeons of Canada, a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons
and attained additional certification in Facial Plastic and Reconstructive
Surgery. He maintained a busy surgical practice at the Queensway
General Hospital in Toronto's west end, becoming head of the
Department of Ear, Nose and Throat Surgery in 1966; a position
he held until his retirement in 1992. During this period he also
served as a board member of the Quo Vadis School of Nursing.
Robert excelled in every thing he put his mind and heart to.
His love of life found expression in his varied passions, including
golf, tennis, skiing, farming, travel, reading, music (both classical
and jazz) and the company of his many Friends, but no passion
figured more prominently in his life, or gave him greater satisfaction,
than his love for his wife and family. Robert is survived by
his loving wife Maureen, his three sons; John, Stuart and Patrick,
their wives; Maria, Helen and Nadine; and grandchildren; Giovanni,
Nicole, Justin, Samuel, Sarah, Liam and Rebekah. His passing
leaves a void in our lives that will be impossible to fill. In
his life Robert touched many with his goodness and gentle way.
He will be forever in our hearts and sadly missed. A memorial
service will be held on June 24, 2005 at 2 p.m. at the Toronto
Golf and Country Club, located at 1305 Dixie Rd., Mississauga.
In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Heart and Stroke Foundation
will be appreciated.

Friends. Resting at the W. John Thomas Funeral Home, 244 Victoria
Street E., Alliston from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. on Thursday. Funeral
Service will be held in the Chapel on Friday, January 21, 2005
at 11: 00 a.m., followed by cremation. If so desired, memorial
donations to the Parkinson Society of Canada would be appreciated.

(Lorrain) of Pilo, Ohio. Fondly remembered by his many close
Friends. Woodrow served in the Canadian Army during World War
2 and he was a member of the Mocha Shrine, the Jesters Group,
the HiLo Shrine and a lifetime member of Saint John's Lodge #20.
Visitation will be held on Friday from 2: 00-4:00 and 7:00-9:00
p.m. at the Westview Funeral Chapel, 709 Wonderland Road North
(2 blocks north of Oxford), where the funeral service will be
conducted on Saturday, February 26th, 2005 at 1: 00 p.m. Private
interment in Woodland Cemetery. Those wishing to make a donation
in memory of Woodrow are asked to consider the charity of their
choice. A Masonic Service under the auspices of Saint John's Lodge
#20 will be held in the funeral home on Friday at 7: 00 p.m.

After a lengthy illness in her 80th year. Lifetime partner, wife
and friend of Wes. Loving mother of Carol (Bill), Don (Sue),
Linda (Mark) and Kim (Tom). Predeceased by sons Barry and Stephen.
Loving mother-in-law of Gale and Kathy. Dear grandmother and
great-grandmother to 13 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
She will be greatly missed by all. A special thanks to family
and Friends who spent so much time with Shirley during her illness.
