Tom passed away peacefully at his home in Caledon, on Sunday, November 13, 2005, after a courageous battle with cancer. The beloved husband to Mary Jo for 35 years. Loving father of Andrea and her husband Gavin GREGORY, Beth and her husband Chris BLACKMERE, and Adam CLARKE. A very proud grandfather to Aidan. Devoted son of Shirley and Wesley (deceased), brother to Rhonda and her husband Jim LOCKE, Norm CLARKE and uncle to their children. He was a man who always had a smile on his face and a laugh that could be heard a block away. Tom was the owner of Canadian Curtis Refrigeration (Rexdale and Stoney Creek). He enjoyed his adventures with the Wally World crew, golfing with the Worm Burner guys, and most of all spending time with his family and Friends at the cottage. She▼ also leaves her wonderful niece Elizabeth HAMILTON, who was such a great friend and help to her for many years, and her adored cat Posey.
Pat was a rug hooker extraordinaire, and loved to do crosswords, and passed that love on to some of her children and grandchildren. She was an adventurous woman who finally realized her wish to para-sail at the age of 79 in the Dominican Republic when on vacation with Pat and John. She will be sorely missed by all her Friends and relatives.
The family wishes to thank the healthcare staff in Emergency and Intensive Care Unit at Credit Valley Hospital, most particularly, Tracy, Joanne and Doctors PRICE and KUMAR for their wonderful care of this outstanding lady as well as their compassion and assistance to the family during this difficult time. MARSHALL, Anne Jessie
Died at Victoria Hospice peacefully on Thursday, January 6, 2005. Born in Lancashire, England, December 11, 1922, she attended Edinburgh and London universities. After graduating she worked in the field of clinical psychology. Anne was a remarkable woman who, between jobs, roamed the world and was the author of "Hunting the Guru in India".
In 1966 Anne settled in Toronto where she worked as a child psychologist at the Toronto Hospital for Sick Children. Upon retiring she moved to Victoria where she resumed her writing, publishing a book of poetry, "A Gathering of Verses" and a memoir of her English childhood, "Life Between the Wars".
Anne is remembered fondly by cousins Carol CARLISLE, Alison BLACKMORE, Helen BLACKMORE and John MANDLEBERG of England, and Jennifer HOLLINGS of Alexandria, Virginia and numerous Friends in Victoria and Toronto. Special thanks are extended to her physician Dr. Linda THOMPSON/THOMSON/TOMPSON/TOMSON.
Anne was remembered at a memorial gathering on Wednesday, January 12 in Victoria. Donations in her memory may be made to the Victoria Hospice Society, 1952 Bay Street, Victoria, British Columbia, V8R 1J8.

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Jack ROSEN at the age of 78 after a long and brave confrontation with a lengthy illness. Beloved husband of Honey ROSEN who was his constant and loyal companion, confidante and best friend throughout his life and illness. Jack cherished his three children Judy ROSEN (Chris BART,) Shelley ROSEN (Richard MOOR) and Allan (Lisa.) He was extremely proud of his twelve grandchildren, Kyle and Roberta FOSTER, Michelle FOSTER and Brent CLIFFORD and Jonathan FOSTER, Rafi and Gabriel MOOR, Matthew, Noah, Izaak, Alexander, and Max ROSEN and three step-grandchildren, Madeleine, Veronica and Miriam BART. Their amazing Zaidi was extremely delighted in celebrating the birth of his first great-grandchild, Coen FOSTER. As a doting father and grandfather, Jack provided the kind of comfort, advice and encouragement that enriched their lives and made them strong. He was the proud son of the late Israel and Rose ROSEN. Jack was born in Russia and was raised from infancy in Canada with his three sisters Eve GORDON (Jack,) Edythe BLACKSTEIN (the late Sam,) Sue FELDMAN (Mike) and his late brother, Percy ROSEN (Linda.) An accomplished businessman, Jack and his late brother Percy and brother-in-law Jack joined his late father, Israel ROSEN in the family business, I. Rosen and Sons, and built it to become one of Ontario's premier recycling businesses. One of his many accomplishments was conceiving and pioneering the now famous 'blue box' curbside recycling program which is used for curbside recycling in millions of homes around the world. For this achievement and many others, he received the first Lifetime Achievement Award from the Recycling Council of Ontario. Jack was a selfless and often anonymous benefactor for countless charitable causes and individuals. He was a past president of Beth Jacob Synagogue. He was renowned in the Kitchener community as a munificent contributor to major charitable campaigns. He became the first Jewish director of the board of a Catholic hospital in Kitchener (Saint Mary's) and was named an Honorary Director upon his retirement from the Board. Services are Monday, November 14 at 1 p.m. at Beth Jacob Synagogue, 161 Sterling Avenue, Kitchener. The Shiva will be held at 50 Blue Springs Drive, Suite 23, Waterloo. Born Catherine McCALLUM in 1951 in Guelph, she was to become the heart of a family of three sons Jordan, Jesse and Adam, husband Garnet, and her doggies Dudley and Elmo. She was the beloved sister of Margaret (Paul) MARCHESSEAU, and special Auntie to Genevieve and Keenan, Paul, Patrick and Simonne. We were so fortunate to have Catherine cared for by Dr. BLACKSTEIN and his wonderful team at Mount Sinai, and by Dr. WARD and Dr. LEE locally. Together they gave us eight precious years. Beloved husband of Diane (RODRIGUE) BLACKWELL and dearly loved step-father of Patrick and his wife Kari RAINVILLE, Iona; Alice and her husband Dave ELFORD, Saint Thomas and Linda FREELE and her partner Ron MARISSEN, Woodstock. Loved grandfather of Michael, Anthony, Shelby, Dakota and Connor. Dear step-son of Margaret BLACKWELL. Joe was born in Aylmer on February 19th, 1943 to the late Joe and Gertrude (ROLISON) BLACKWELL. Earl GOLDSMITH was called to his eternal rest after a brave and courageous struggle with Alzheimer's Disease. He is survived by his beloved wife of 64 years, Bernice (BLACKWELL,) a son, Jon Bradley, and a daughter, Deborah Ruth FOUTS. Dr. GOLDSMITH was born and raised in London, the son of Arthur and Ellen GOLDSMITH. Dr. GOLDSMITH was Director of Counseling Associates in Ft. Myers, Florida for 21 years. Before moving to Ft. Myers in 1984, he was director of Christian Counseling Associates in Indianapolis, Indiana for over 20 years. He and his wife have been long time members of McGregor Baptist Church in Ft. Myers where he taught a Sunday School class for over 15 years and was a leader in the men's ministry program. Dr. GOLDSMITH was born in London on January 21, 1921. He served for 4 years in the Canadian Navy during World War 2. Dr. GOLDSMITH received his under graduate degree at the University of Western Ontario and advanced degrees from Dallas Theological Seminary and Indiana University. He authored numerous publications including a textbook published on counseling techniques. A popular speaker, Dr. GOLDSMITH was also honored to accompany Billy Graham on one of his international crusades.
