RILEY, Paul Carl
On Friday, March 4, 2005, after an incredibly courageous battle with advanced malignant melanoma, at the age of 48, Paul passed away with his family by his side. Paul's positive attitude and zest for life masked an intense struggle, the pain of which he kept so characteristically private. He was a marvellous and spiritual man, who never failed to place others before himself. Paul leaves behind his wife, Donna, who was the love of his life, his cherished daughter, Kristin McKIBBIN and Abby his K9 friend. Paul joins his loving mother, Lorraine RILEY (née LARSEN.) He is survived by his father Kenneth RILEY, brother John (Annette) and sister Anne. He will be deeply missed by his favourite in-laws, Don and Dolores CARNOCHAN, Ross and Mary CARNOCHAN. He was the very proud uncle and godfather of Meghan RILEY, Karl, Paul and Julia ZEBARTH, Peter and Shawn CARNOCHAN, and Krista BERGMANN. The rich Friendships Paul cultivated from childhood and throughout his well-travelled life will suffer dearly from his loss. He will be sorely missed. Special thanks to the Oncology team at Credit Valley Hospital and Princess Margaret Hospital, also, Susan TOWNLEY and Dianne BERGMANN for their support and compassion. Friends will be received at the J.S. Jones and son Funeral Home and Cremation Centre, 11582 Trafalgar Road (north of Maple Avenue), Georgetown, (905) 877-3631, on Tuesday, March 8 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Holy Cross Catholic Church on Wednesday, March 9, 2005 at 11 a.m. Cremation will take place.
