Gordon Chesley Armstrong peacefully passed away on November 9,
2005. For 62 years he was married to the woman he loved, Audrey
Grace BEER, who continues to reside at The Pines in Bracebridge.
Gordon and Audrey both grew up in Toronto, attended Palmerston
Public School and were married at St Cyprian's Anglican Church,
while he was stationed in Dunville with the Royal Canadian Air
Force. He was a member of the Quarter Century Club of Southam
Press and after 37 years in the printing business, retired from
Southam Murray. Gordon and Audrey went on to build their dream
home in Collingwood. He loved his part time work driving school
bus and then local transit for Penetang Midland Coach Lines,
and for almost 20 years, he made a major contribution to the
Canadian Cancer Society as a driver and area co-ordinator. He
will be very sadly missed by his four children and six grandchildren.
A celebration of his life will be held on November 26th at 1: 00
p.m. at the Reynolds Funeral Home "Turner Chapel", Mary and Manitoba
Streets, Bracebridge (877-806-2257). Memoriams to the Canadian
Diabetes Association or the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated.
