Since the diagnosis of her illness in December, Leslie spent
the majority of her time at home and enjoyed many quality moments
with her daughter, Amy, her son, Dane, and her stepson, Aaron.

GILL, both of Peterborough. During her long teaching
career, first at Central Collegiate and then at M.C.V.I., Leslie
made a significant impact on all who knew her - staff and students
alike. Leslie's family would like to express their heartfelt
appreciation to Leslie's closest Friends, and the extended Bergstrom
and Babier families who offered unfailing support. They would
also like to acknowledge the exceptional care provided by many
personal support workers, nurses, hospice volunteers and the
Lakeridge Health - Oshawa palliative care team. Leslie will be

with Friends and family. He looked forward to retirement back
in the north country. Those that were very close to Gary "Rock",
will miss his strength of character, loyalty to family and Friends,
his gentleness, his quick wit, his sense of humour, thoughtfulness
and kindness. The family will receive Friends at the Co-Operative
Funeral Home, 222 Lasalle Blvd. E. (at Notre-Dame), Sudbury,

It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing
of Peter BRADFORD on Wednesday, August 24, 2005, following a
lengthy struggle with lung disease. He died peacefully at home
with Mary Elaine, his devoted and loving wife of 17 years at
his side. Peter was born in North Yorkshire on December 15, 1927.
Graduating from Leeds University in 1949 with a Bachelor of Laws,
Peter came to Canada settling in Toronto in 1950. He enjoyed
a long and distinguished career in the insurance industry with
Prudential. Peter was a man of principle and purpose, whose life
was distinguished by an abiding interest in history, literature
and music. A particular passion of Peter's was early jazz music
and he was a serious collector of original recordings on 78.
In his later years he built with his wife Mary an extensive library
of first edition books, mainly in British diplomatic and political
history.
Peter was also a fine athlete, playing cricket, soccer and squash
in his youth at Wrekin College, Shropshire. Peter's lifelong
passion for golf began with many rounds on the Masham Golf Club
in a threesome with his father and brother Jack.
Peter was a beloved father and husband and will be deeply missed
by his family. Peter is survived by wife
