In Southampton, on Wednesday, December 29th, 2004, at the age of 69 years. John BRYCE, of Paisley, husband of the former Donna CALHOUN. Father of Nancy and her husband, Jim KLINE and Mary Lynn and her husband, Bruce MacLEAN, all of Port Elgin; Wayne and his wife, Lori, of Paisley; Patsy and her husband, Lloyd HAMMELL, of Arkwright and Connie and her husband, Jerry OSADCA, of Kincardine. Grandpa to Kristyn and Katie KLINE, Stuart and Mary Kathleen MacLEAN, Madison and Emily BRYCE, Steven and Paul HAMMELL and Matthew and Michael OSADCA. Brother of Margaret and her husband, Ed DAHMS, of Kitchener, Tom and his wife, Barbara, of Paisley, Marjorie CAMPBELL, of Port Elgin and Mary and her husband, Gord McGARVEY, of Kincardine. Predeceased by one brother, Archie BRYCE and by sisters, Anna WELDON and Jean LAFFOLEY. Friends may call at the W. Kent Milroy Paisley Chapel, 216 Queen Street South, Paisley, from 2: 00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m., on Sunday, January 2nd, 2005. Funeral service will be conducted in Port Elgin United Church, 840 Bruce Street, Port Elgin, on Monday at 1: 00 p.m., with the Reverend Murray ROUNDING officiating. Interment, Sanctuary Park Cemetery, Port Elgin. Memorial contributions to the Saugeen Memorial Hospital Foundation or to Knox United Church, Paisley would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy. DONALD, Jean Elizabeth (née BRIGGS)
Jean DONALD, our beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, passed away in Ottawa on December 24th, 2004, after a long and very happy life. Born in Owen Sound, Ontario in 1910, Jean was the widow of Robert Stuart DONALD, of Owen Sound. Cherished mother of Catherine CLARK (Ainslie,) of Ottawa, Ellen MONAGHAN (Bill,) of Millarville, Alberta and Robert DONALD (Judy,) of Austin, Texas. Beloved grandmother of M.J. McLEAN (Stephen,) of Yellowknife, Drew CLARK, of Ottawa; Leith and Kip MONAGHAN, of Millarville and great-grandmother of Victoria and Justin. Joyful in her strong faith, Mom honoured "Be doers of the word and not hearers only" (James 1: 22). She was always the quiet, tireless volunteer in the background, a pillar of gentle strength for many people. Her lifelong contributions were recognized with a Lifetime Membership in the United Church Women of Canada. A true lady, Mom's greatest passion was for her family and we shall deeply miss her. A celebration of Jean's life was held at the Central Chapel of Hulse, Playfair and McGarry, 315 McLeod Street, Ottawa, Ontario, at 2: 00 p.m., Wednesday, December 29th, 2004. Interment will follow at a later date at Rideau Memorial Gardens, Dollard des Ormeaux, Quebec. In lieu of flowers, Friends who so wish may make a donation to The Ottawa Mission or to the Stephen Lewis Foundation for A.I.D.S. Africa. (www.stephenlewisfoundation.org). Austin STEVENS of Espanola passed away at the Espanola Nursing Home on Friday, November 26th, 2004 in his 97th year.
Beloved husband of Ella (née COLLINS) STEVENS of Espanola. Dear son of the late William and Bertha (née BASSINGTHWAITE) STEVENS. Loving father of Bill (wife Myrtle) of Garson, Jean (Mrs.
Raymond McLEAN) of Sudbury, Joyce (Mrs. Charles TOBIN) of Xenia, Ohio and the late James STEVENS
(predeceased 1990) (wife Beverley) of Little Current and Max (predeceased 1998) wife Sue of Garson. Will be sadly missed by 15 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-granddaughters. Very dear brother of Stan of Richard’s Landing, Vera (Mrs. Bruce SMITH) of Hanover and the late Archie, Henry, Leonard, Harold, and Fred STEVENS, Edna BATMAN, Rena SKIPPEN and Eunice LANKTREE. A Memorial Service will be held at the United Church of Espanola on Friday, December 3rd at 1: 0.0 p.m. with the Reverend Faye STEVENS officiating. Interment of ashes in the Garson Cemetery. In loving memory of Violet Noreen Elliott of Spragge who passed away suddenly at the Sunnybrook Hospital in Toronto on April 17, 2004 at the age of 86. Beloved wife of the late William Lyman ELLIOT/ELLIOTT. Loving mother of Douglas (Margaret), Bill (Norma) both of Mindemoya, Margaret (Joe) of Spragge, Mike of Sudbury, Paul (Ann) of Espanola and the late Wilfred, Mary-Ann, Jim Charlie and Dan. Dear mother-in-law of Barb, Muriel, Ron, Joan, and Pat. Also survived by 25 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild and numerous nephews, nieces, great nephews and great nieces. Dear sister of Ethel McLELLAN of Sudbury, Irene WIFFEN of BC and pre-deceased by three brothers and five sisters. Funeral services were held on Tuesday, April 20, 2004 at 2: 00 pm from the Menard Funeral Home, Blind River. Interment in Algoma Mills Cemetery.

Gone to join her life partner, Russell. A loving and treasured mother to Mary and husband Ralph Manion of Thessaolon, Dorothy Mallott and Eero Kansala of Sudbury. A much-loved grandma and great grandma to Ruth Ann, Ray and Patricia La Forty, Darren McVey, Todd, Roseanne and Jessica McVey, Shannon Mallot and Alex Pereira. Remembered by sister and sisters in law Effie and Erling Size, Retta BOWERMAN, Vivian BOWERMAN, Jean McLennan. Predeceased by other siblings: Lorne, Herman, Allan, Freeman, Grenville, Alvin and Nelda, BOWERMAN. Dear aunt of many nieces and nephews. Rested at Island Funeral Home where Friends called from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 pm Sunday. Funeral service was held at 11 am, Monday October 25, 2004 at Knox United Church, Manitowaning. Pastor Larry Sayer officiating. Burial in Hilly Grove Cemetery.
