THIRD, Hugh--In loving memory of Hugh THIRD.
Goodbye my friend.
It is hard to say goodbye,
When all we want to do is cry.
Why did the creator of the stars and the moon
Take you away so very soon?
Goodbye my friend.
You were so very strong,
you never did anything wrong.
You carried us all,
right to the very end.
You are now in "milkshake" heaven,
Sailing the great big blue skies.
A place where you can finally
Taste that delicious apple pie.
Your boat that you did not sail
Thank you to the boaters,
for getting it of the rail, And to the rest of us,
For cleaning it with the pail.
Even though you did not ride,
You did enjoy sitting inside.
Taking in the summer smells,
Your private thoughts,
you did not tell,
They drifted off like a floater.
Your picture is carved,
Deeply in our hearts.
Filled with good memories,
That will never part.
Your spirit is free, Just like the wind.
Or little drops of rain,
Gently falling on our skin,
saying you no longer have pain.
You are now captain of the sky,
Sailing way up high,
Leaving us a colourful rainbow, as you pass by.
Watch out for that winking star,
It will have the brightest glow!
So I am not very far.
The words above were composed by a family friend and read at his service. Fondly remembered by brother George and sister Elaine and family.
