MacDONALD, a resident on Gore
Bay, who died at the Manitoulin Lodge on Friday, January 2, 2004 at the age of 92 years.
(SPACKMAN)
DOUGHERTY.
Isabel began her teaching career at the age of 19 years, and she taught until she was
65 years, in Dawson, Robinson, Burpee, Mills and Gordon Townships.
Teaching was the love of her life. She had many interests, which
included knitting. She knit many pairs of mitts and socks for many
of her students, who were in need. A very generous lady, everyone
else came first. She also enjoyed reading and baking (especially butter tarts).
Isabel was predeceased by her husband David in March of 1986 and an
infant son David in 1937. Dearly loved mother of Gloria of Gore Bay
and Bill and his wife Betty Anne of Grimsby, and proud grandmother of
Jill and Paul. Predeceased by sisters Echo
McDOUGALL and Elaine
FELIX.
A graveside service took place at Meldrum Bay Cemetery on Monday,
January 5, 2004 with Mr. Erwin Thompson officiating. Culgin Funeral Home.
