ROY, Toronto Maple Leaf's #1 Fan has just
left the building. She passed away peacefully at Sunnybrook Health
Science Centre on Saturday, April 3rd, 2004. Virginia was born on
June 8th, 1943 on Manitoulin Island. Her cheering will be sadly
missed from the stands. However, Virginia will be moving to a much
larger stadium where her number one fan will make certain she's got
the best seat in the house. Virginia will be cheering us all on,
cuddled up with everyone else watching life's game. Loving mother of
Bridget (Steve), Marilyn, Hank (Kathy), Terry, Daniel (Yvette).
Grandma will be fondly remembered by April, Jacklin, Mary-Anne,
Andrew, and Stevie. Dear companion of Dean. Virginia will be missed
by many nieces, nephews and Friends.
Resting at the Paul O'Connor Funeral Home, 1939 Lawrence Ave. E.
(between Warden and Pharmacy) from 3 - 5 and 7 - 9 pm, Wednesday,
April 7th. Then on Friday in Buzwah Church on Manitoulin Island.
Funeral Mass in Buzwah Church on Saturday morning, April 10th at 11 am.
Interment in the Buzwah Cemetery.

predeceased by Edward “Ted”. Cherished grandfather of Rob, Katie, Luc,
Tina, Peter, Terry, Joey, Dani, Brianna and Neil. Dear son of Hubert
and Daisy CYR both predeceased. Dear brother of Jerry predeceased (wife
Dorothy of Listowel) and Janet predeceased (husband Jack of Oshawa).
Born in Sudbury he grew up in Minnow Lake moving at 18 to Blind River,
to work for Ontario Hydro. In 1958, he married Marlene in Killarney and
they enjoyed 45 years together. Ray was transferred to the Ontario
Hydro Warren Office where he retired as Supervisor. Ray loved to
reminisce about his sports life, from coaching women’s baseball as a
teenager to his love of hockey and baseball minor associations. Many
local hockey players benefited from his tough but fair coaching. An
accomplished athlete in his younger days he maintained a life long love
of sports, including actively coaching many Montreal Canadian hockey
games from his lazy boy. Ray was an accomplished storyteller with a
wonderful sense of humour, he has brought much happiness into the world
especially for his children and grandchildren.
Rested at the Saint Thomas Parish Hall, Warren, Ontario from 2 to 9 p.m.
on Friday, September l7th, 2004. Funeral Service in the Lougheed
Funeral Home, 252 Regent Street, Sudbury on Saturday, September 28th,
2004 at 1: 00 p.m. Friends called at Lougheed’s after 11:00 a.m. on
Saturday. Cremation at the Park Lawn Crematorium.

Ted was a part time Taxi driver and Suit Salesman also for many years.
After 36 years of service, Ted retired from Inco at the age of 57. After
retirement you often saw Ted operating his backhoe, enjoying every
moment. He loved fishing, moose and deer hunting with his nephews and
Friends. He was a great cardplayer and enjoyed spending time with his
family. Quite often, Ted enjoyed conversation in regards to the logging
days throughout the Manitoulin and Northshore district in his early teenage years.
Friends called at the M’Chigeeng First Nation Complex after 1: 00pm on
Wednesday, October 13, 2004. The funeral mass was celebrated at the
Immaculate Conception Church on Friday, October 15, 2004 at 11 am.
Interment in M’Chigeeng Cemetery. Officiating Priest Father Foliot S.J.
