Clara Ethel " Rhea" WARD
In loving memory of Clara Ethel "Rhea" WARD, unexpectedly at Mindemoya Hospital on Saturday, April 24, 2004, age 82 years. Beloved wife of Rex WARD. Loving mother of Elaine LEPAGE of Hanmer and Ross and Susan of Tehkummah. Cherished grandmother of Lisa LEPAGE, Shawn and wife Leah LEPAGE, Tanya and husband Mark RICCI, all of Hanmer, Justin WARD of Tehkummah. Special great grandmother of Kirsten, Raven, Trey, Hayden, and Tyrus. Will be missed by sisters Marjorie and husband Elgin MARTIN of Tehkummah, Gilda and husband Grant RUSSELL (both predeceased,) Jean SIBERRY (husband Ken predeceased) of Toronto, and sister-in-law Marguerite LITTLE (husband Allan, predeceased) of Little Current. Predeceased by John, Joyce, and Jean Ward. Forever remembered by many nieces and nephews. Visitation was held Tuesday, April 27, 2004. A funeral service will be held at 2 pm Wednesday at Fairview United Church, Tehkummah. Burial in Hilly Grove Cemetery.

In loving memory of Jean P. BROBERG ,73, who died in the Onalaska Care Centre on Friday, July 23, 2004.
She was born November 11, 1930, in Ann Arbor, Michigan to Ernest and Marian (RICH) ABBOTT.
She married Ernie BROBERG and he preceded her in death on October 13, 2003. Jean truly enjoyed spending time at their cottage, on an island, in the Rocky Bottoms on Lake Huron, Canada. She is survived by two daughters, Sarah (Chris ROSS) Good and Karen (Roger) FRICKE, a son, David (Debbie) GOOD, six grandchildren, Shana and Megan GOOD, Max and Zachary ROSS, Aaron and Evan FRICKE, a sister, Shirley (Dale) PERRIN, a brother, George (Jane) ABBOTT. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents. Memorial services were held Tuesday at 11 am in the Dickinson Family Funeral Home, 1425 Jackson Street, LaCrosse. Sister Mary Ann RYAN, O.S.F., officiated. Burial of her remains will be on
the island in Canada, near the cottage. Friends called at the funeral home on Tuesday from 10: 30 am until the service.

Manitowaning, Stewart and wife Mary of Sudbury, Lee and wife Marlene
of Rockville and sister Carol (husband Jack LOVE predeceased) of
Mindemoya. Will never be forgotten by nieces and nephews Diane and
husband Norman FOGAL, Bradley SPRY and fiancée Lise, Kelly SPRY- BARRY, Frank LOVE, Shari and husband Dave FOGAL, Anna LOVE, Leigh Ann and husband Bob PHILLIPS, Michael SPRY, Kevin and wife Meghan SPRY. Special great uncle to Pam and Steven FOGAL, Lyndsey SPRY, Jodi and Kelsey RICHARD, Kori and Kodi BARRY, Breanna and Caleb FOGAL.
A visitation was held Sunday, April 4, 2004 and a funeral service was held Monday, April 5, 2004 all at Mindemoya United Church. Burial will be in Cold Springs Cemetery. Arrangements in care of Island Funeral Home.

In loving memory of Norma McDERMID WILLIAMSON (née PALMER) who died peacefully at Centennial Manor on January 21, 2004 at the age of 82 years.
Norma was a very hard working woman who loved company. She was always thinking of others and did without to raise her eight children. Many children in the community were baby-sat and loved by Norma. During her time working for the Children's Aid Society she mothered 99 children.
She was born to Guy PALMER and Janet McDERMID on November 13, 1921.
Predeceased by her beloved husband Aulden (June 18, 1996). Loved by her children: Carolann and husband Stewart NOBLE of Mindemoya, Janet and husband Peter VANWYEHEN of London, Susan RICHING and friend Dave of Whitefish Falls, Keith and Lynn of Smithers BC, Paul of Centennial Manor, Ken and Joan of Mindemoya, Doug at home, Donny and friend Darlene of Fraser Lake, BC. Will be forever remembered by 16 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. Dear sister of Lottie and Murray THOMPSON/THOMSON/TOMPSON/TOMSON of Kagawong, Anita and Max (predeceased) FAWCETT of Mindemoya, Shirley and Bob WISEMAN of Falconbridge and Maudie of Sault Ste. Marie.

She leaves behind her husband Stuart NOBLE, daughter and son-in-law Ann (née NOBLE) and Rusty AUXIER (in Mindemoya,) son and daughter-in-law Adam NOBLE and wife Tammy (in Amherstburg, ON) as well as one grand_son, Chance Auxier. She was the daughter of the Alden and Norma (née PALMER) WILLIAMSON (both predeceased,) and the eldest sister of Keith WILLIAMSON and wife Lynn (of B.C.,) Paul WILLIAMSON (of Little Current), Ken WILLIAMSON and wife Joan (of Mindemoya), Doug WILLIAMSON (of Mindemoya),
Janet VANWYCHEN (née WILLIAMSON) and husband Peter (of London, ON,) Donny WILLIAMSON and friend Darlene (of B.C.,) and Susan RICHING (née WILLIAMSON) and friend Dave (of Whitefish Falls, ON.) There will be a memorial service at Mindemoya Cemetery on September 4, 2004.

William Matthew MATHESON
In loving memory of William Matthew MATHESON, February 3, 1924 - August 26, 2004, a resident of Silver Water, died at the Mindemoya Hospital on Thursday, August 26, 2004 at the age of 80 years.
He was born at Elizabeth Bay, son of the late Norman and Bertha (MORDEN) MATHESON. Matt had worked for the Department of Transportation, as a mechanic, from 1947 until his retirement in 1980. He was very active in his community, having been founding Fire Chief of the Robinson Fire Department, had served on many Boards of the local Service Board for Robinson Township, and had been a very active member of the Snowdusters, grooming countless miles of trails. Matt had a variety of interests other than his community involvement. He enjoyed snowmobiling, boating, flying, travelling and loved horses and music. He also enjoyed visiting with people. He will be sadly missed by his loving and loved family and numerous Friends. Beloved husband of Ollie (TENNISWOOD) MATHESON. Matt and Ollie would have celebrated 59 years of marriage next month. Precious Dad to Lyla (Peter) MUNT of Rocky Mountain House, Alberta, Norman (friend Linda) and Don (Virginia) of Silver Water. Dear Grandfather of Stephen, Judy, Robert and Katerina, Greg and Jessica. Great-grandfather of David, Ashley, Kathryn, John, Brittany and Logan. Dear brother of Vera FALLS, Anne HOPKINS, Audrey HARPER and Rhea WATT. Predeceased by brother Charles. Brother in law of Myrtle MATHESON, Pat (Ken) RICKARD, Hazel (Henry) REUBLE, Margaret (Ross) STRAIN and Don (Venus) TENNISWOOD. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. The funeral service was conducted in the Wm. G Turner Chapel on Saturday, August 28, 2004 at 11 am with Pastor Eriwn THOMPSON/THOMSON/TOMPSON/TOMSON officiating. Interment in Silver Lake Cemetery, Silver Water.
