Dora Marie NESHKIWE
In loving memory of Dora Marie NESHKIWE, 75 years old. Dora passed on into the spirit world Tuesday, August 3, 2004, surrounded by loving family members. Beloved daughter of Steven and Esther MISHIBINIJIMA) NESHKIWE (both predeceased.) Loving sister of Wesley NESHKIWE of Wikwemikong. Predeceased by Norman and Willie. Survived by cherished grandchildren Hazel FOX RECOLLECT, Rachel MISHIBINIJIMA, Murray ROGERS, Peter NESHKIWE. Sadly missed by many cousins, nieces and nephews and their families as well as by their Friends. Friends called at Saint Ignatius Church at Buzwah. Mass was held at Holy Cross Church in Wikwemikong. Burial in Wikwemikong cemetery.

In loving memory of Gilbert Arthur PELTIER (ZHAA_BAA_DEH,) 67 years, who passed away Wednesday afternoon February 4th, 2004 at the Manitoulin Health Centre.
Mr. PELTIER was a farmer, and enjoyed hunting and fishing. He loved his horses.
He loved going to church and hosted prayer meetings in his home. Beloved husband of Lavina
(RECOLLET) of Rabbit Island. Loving father of Dennis PELTIER of
Wikwemikong, Rhonda PELTIER- CHIBLOW (husband Bob) of Mississauga
First Nation, Liz MAKADEBIN (husband Leo) of Manitowaning and Gary
PELTIER (predeceased.) Cherished mishomiss of Amanda, Keegan, Kayla,
Dylan and Mackenzie. Dear son of Leo and Sophie PELTIER (both
predeceased.) Loving brother of Yvonne (husband Jerry SMITH) of
Magnetawan, Joe PELTIER (wife Linda) of Wikwemikong, Norman and Shawn
PELTIER (both predeceased,) Loretta OKIMOW and Violet FLAMAND (also
both predeceased.) Dear brother-in-law of Annie PELTIER of
Wikwemikong. Special nephew of Georgina FOX. Dear godfather of
Cindy MANDAMIN and Carie-Lee PELTIER- GRANVILLE. Rested at the Rabbit
Island Community Centre, Rabbit Island. A funeral mass was held at

In loving memory of Mary (née BONDY) ASSINIWE (Memigwan-Kwe,) 58 years, who passed away Saturday evening, September 18, 2004 at the Manitoulin Health Centre.
Beloved wife of Julius. Loving mother of June predeceased, Dolly PELTIER, Gail
(friend Joseph) and Sarah (friend Aaron). Cherished grandmother of Sharlene, Jarvis, Matthew, Angel, Ross, Mary-Agnes, Alec and Ashley. Dear daughter of Jacob and Sarah BONDY both predeceased. Dear sister of Theresa CORMACK of Dryden, Rita RECOLLET of London, Theodore of Iron Bridge, predeceased by Jeremiah, Narcisse, Michael, David and Nellie. Dear daughter-in-law of Jacob and Evelyn ASSINIWE both predeceased. Dear sister-in-law of Isabel, Raymond, Josephine, Jeannette, Norman, Beatrice, predeceased by Tommy. Dear godmother of Matthew and Kerry. Sadly missed by
many nieces, nephews and Friends. Mary is remembered for the great love she shared with her
family and Friends. She was strong in her faith as she prayed daily and prayed for everyone. She loved to laugh, visit and tease. Ensuring everyone ate well, she enjoyed cooking, especially Sunday family dinners including barbeques. Mary enjoyed attending pow-wows, playing bingo, nevadas, internet Casino slot games and was an avid wresting fan. She took great pleasure on going for Sunday rides, going to yard sales, making crafts, doing word search puzzles, being with her grandchildren, listening to music and watching her baby birth stories on T.V. Mary was a strong believer in seeking the truth in all things including honesty. Throughout her life, she taught these values and principles that are instilled within her family. We are blessed and honoured by her spirit and know that she is happily welcomed home by those who await her in the Spirit World. Baamaapii Kaawaabmin

Margaret WAHSQUONAIKEZHIK
In loving memory of Margaret WAHSQUONAIKEZHIK who passed away peacefully at Wikwemikong Nursing Home on Saturday, November 27, 2004 at the age of 84 years.
Born September 17, 1921 to Theresa CORBIERE and Edward WASSEGIJIG (both predeceased).
Married John WAHSQUONAIKEZHIK (predeceased September 25, 1976.) Margaret was a homemaker who enjoyed sewing, making braided rugs, bich bark canoes, picking sweet grass, making hot pads, picking wild berries and preserving them, and going out to pick herbs for medicine. She loved going to church. Margaret raised her own 15 children plus two adopted as well as many other nieces and nephews and grandchildren. Survived by oldest daughter Theresa HASWOOD (husband Tully) of Rock Springs, New Mexico, Christina SINOBERT (husband Cecil of Sagamok, Bernadette RECOLLET (husband Stanley) of Wikwemikong, Josette WAHSQUONAIKEZHIK (husband Brad) of Winnipeg, Jean DEBASSIGE (friend Andy) of Sudbury, Sons Ernest (wife Annette) of Keshena, Wisconsin, Gabriel (wife Laurie) of Neopit, Wisconsin, Francis (wife Beverly) of Sault Ste. Marie, Luke (wife Tara) of Fort Alexander, Manitoba, Christopher (wife Carol) of Sudbury, Tina McCURLEY (husband Ken) of Birch Island. Predeceased by daughters Rita, Annette, Bertha, Celina, Patricia, Ida, and son Adam. Beloved sister of Annie CORBIERE, Mary FOX (predeceased,) Elizabeth DEBASSIGE (predeceased.) Dear sister in law of Archie Francis WAHSQUONAIKEZHIK. She is the grandmother of 70, the great grandmother of 80 and the great great grandmother of 11. Visititation is from 7: 00 pm Monday at Birch Island Community Centre. Funeral Mass will be held at 11 am, Thursday, December 2, 2004 at St. Gabriel Lalement Church, Birch Island. Burial in Birch Island Cemetery. Arrangements in care of Island Funeral Home.
