Velma Jeanette “Jennie” WILLIAMSON
In loving memory of Velum Jeanette “Jennie” WILLIAMSON, who peacefully died at the Manitoulin Centennial Manor on Thursday, October 14, 2004 at the age of 91 years.
Jennie was born in Sandfield Township to William and Agnes “Sibbie” (MOODY) LUSCOMBE on July 9, 1913. Throughout her life Jennie touched the lives of many people. She was very special to her family and Friends, in her caring ways and wonderful sense of humour. She laughed a lot and in doing so, brought joy to others. She married her beloved husband Earl “Tinker” in 1934. He predeceased her in 1981. Together they operated a service station in South Baymouth, previously they had both a service station and restaurant in Tehkummah and in Naughton. Loved mother of Joan SAGLE and friend Angus NORMORE of the Slash (husband Ronald predeceased,) Betty and husband Doug HEIS of Sandfield, George and wife Natalie of Hamilton. Cherished grandmother of Lance and wife Linda SAGLE, Heather and husband Bill REID, Murray and wife Kelly SAGLE, Christopher DOGGERT (predeceased,) Kimberly and husband Dave Cooper, Wendy and husband Tim Leeder, Malinda, Curtis and Cassidy WILLIAMSON. Great grandmother of Austin and Hannah COOPER, Thomas and Eric LEEDER. Jonathan, Valerie, Angela SAGLE, Joseph and Rebecca REID, Brennan and Brooke SAGLE. Predeceased by all her brothers and sisters Clifford LUSCOMBE, Lloyd LUSCOMBE, Bessie RUSSELL, Winnifred PYETTE- FERGUSON, Dora PYETTE, Flora LUSCOMBE, Hazel SIZE.
Visitation was from 7 - 9 pm, Sunday at the Island Funeral Home. Funeral service was held at 11 am, Monday October 18, 2004 at Tehkummah Pentecostal Church. Reverend Frank Haner officiating. Cremation with Burial in Mindemoya Cemetery.

John Arthur HUGHSON
In loving memory of John Arthur HUGHSON, January 16, 1917 - July 8, 2004.
John HUGHSON, a resident of Manitowaning, died at the Manitoulin Health Centre, Little Current, on Thursday, July 8, 2004 at the age of 87 years.
He was born in Sheguiandah Township, son of the late George Lawrence and Dorothy Anne (HOLMAN) HUGHSON. John had farmed all his life and had many other interests, including hunting and fishing, curling, cards and euchre and gardening. He was a member of the United Church. John is survived by a special friend Verna SMITH of Gore Bay. Dear brother of Ivy DOUGLAS/DOUGLASS (Lloyd) of Sudbury and Raymond HUGHSON of Little Current. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by brothers Lawrence, Norman and Eric and sisters Carrie MOOGY and Eunice THIRD. Friends called at the Knox United Church, Manitowaning from 12 - 2 pm on Saturday, July 10, 2004. The funeral service was conducted at 2 pm with Pastor Larry SAYERS officiating. Cremation to follow with interment of ashes in the family plot.

At the Royal Victoria Hospital in Barrie on Tuesday, December 28th, 2004. Mary Georgina McCONNELL of Creemore, in her 71st year. Daughter of the late Richard and Orvilla (BUMSTEAD) McCONNELL. Dear sister of Rosalie MOORE (Elwood,) Marjorie VOKES (late Ken) and Albert McCONNELL (Irene.) Fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews and their families. Predeceased by a brother Gordon McCONNELL (late Ilene) and sisters June CRUICKSHANK (late Wilmer) and Thelma GENOE (late Carman.) Funeral and committal services will be held at the Ferguson Funeral Home in Meaford on Friday, December 31st, 2004 at 1: 00 p.m. with cremation to follow. Family will receive Friends at the funeral home from 12 noon until the hour of service. Interment of cremated remains will take place at Lakeview Cemetery, Meaford at a later date. As your expression of sympathy, donations to the Royal Victoria Hospital in Barrie would be appreciated.

At the Grey Bruce Health Services in Owen Sound, on Wednesday, December 29th, 2004. The former Kathleen TIPPIN of Arran, Tara in her 84th year. Beloved wife of the late John IVEY. Dear mother of Charles and his wife, Janet-Ellen, of Leith, Linda WALLIN, of Ottawa, Kathleen MOORE and her husband, Leo, of Wiarton, Norman, of Port Elgin, Bonnie GOWAN and her husband, John, of R.R.#3 Tara, David and his wife, Brenda, of Trenton and Marilyn LADOCUER and her husband, Fritz, of Midland. Also greatly missed by thirteen grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Friends may call at the Paul H. Eagleson Funeral Home in Tara, on Friday from 1: 00 to 4: 00 p.m. The Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Saturday, January 1st, 2005 at 2: 00 p.m.. Interment in Hillcrest Cemetery, Tara. Harold John (Jack) HALE
In loving memory of Harold John (Jack) HALE, February 6, 1924 - June 19, 2004.
Harold HALE, a resident of Spring Bay, died at the Manitoulin Health Centre in Mindemoya on Saturday, June 19, 2004 at the age of 80 years.
Harold was born in Woodstock, Ontario, son of the late Harold and Mabel (MOORE) HALE. Harold was a veteran of World War II and a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Little Current. He taught shop in Elliot Lake for 15 years. He also was an avid gardener, woodworker and enjoyed hunting, fishing and a good game of cards with Friends. Beloved husband of Jean (McDERMID) HALE. Loved and loving father of Fern (Wallace) PUGH of Orangeville. Dear grandpa of Katherine and Trevor. A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, June 23, 2004 at 2 pm at the Wm. G. Turner Chapel of the Culgin Funeral Home, Gore Bay.

Robert (Bob) Harold MOORES
In loving memory of Robert (Bob) Harold MOORES, of Joffre Alberta, who passed away peacefully at the Red Deer Regional Hospital on January 28, 2004 at the age of 56 years.
Bob was a loving husband (Barb's "Charlie"), a dedicated family man and loved all animals especially "Kit Kat". Family always came first and he was thrilled to meet his granddaughter, Alena Grace, and spend her first Christmas with her at his home. His love had no boundaries, encompassing all he met.
Robert was a dedicated employee at Bruins Plumbing for 23 years. Bob loved to be outdoors fishing, hiking and camping with family. His piano playing ability will never be matched and he rocked and rolled many wonderful parties. He will be sorely missed by all and never forgotten. Bob will be lovingly remembered by his wife and soul mate Barb MOORES (née STYMIEST) as well as sons Dereck of Sudbury and Dayton (fiancé Tara) of Calgary, daughter Angela (fiancé George) of Joffre, granddaughter Alena Grace, mother (Mom) Edna MOORES of Sheguiandah, sister Karen FINUCANE (Don) of Sudbury, Jake (Kathy) of Joffre, sister-in-law Peg (Dave) of Pickering and his niece and nephews Lorne (friend Denise), Tracy (fiancé Michael) and Bryce. Bob was predeceased by his father Harold MOORES and his mother-in-law Helen STYMIEST.
A memorial service was held at Saint Andrew's United Church, Lacombe, Alberta on Monday, February 2, 2004 at 2 p.m. with Reverend Gallant officiating. Memorial tributes in Bob's honour can be made, if desired, to the Tom Baker Cancer Centre, Calgary or the Red Deer Regional Hospital, Red Deer, Alberta.
