GOETTLER, George G.
Of Dublin, Ontario, died suddenly Tuesday, April 15, 2003 in his 82nd year. Predeceased by his beloved wife Ally LOOBY in 1995. Loving father of Jo-Ann WICKWARE of Burlington, Thomas GOETTLER of Guelph, Pauline HARTFIEL of Mitchell, and Stephen GOETTLER of Dublin. Cherished Papa to Kathryn, Suzanne and Alan WICKWARE, Stephen, Paul and Matthew HARTFIEL, and Kathleen, George and Donald GOETTLER. Survived by sisters Margaret RODGERS, London, Hélène DUCHARME, Canton, Michigan, and brother John (Jack) GOETTLER, London. Predeceased by parents Louis and Sarah (McCAFFREY,) sisters Evelyn DISLER, Dorothy WALSH and Mary, brothers Edgar and Fred and by infant granddaughter Ann HARTFIEL. George served with the Canadian Army overseas in the Second World War. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Father Stephen Eckert Council, for fifty years. In 1952, he came to Dublin and began a merchant career that spanned half a century and includes the present day G.G. Goettler group of companies, which he founded with his wife in 1978. Visitation will be at the Lockhart Funeral Home, 109 Montreal Street, Mitchell Thursday and Friday evenings, 6: 00 to 9: 00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Patrick's Roman Catholic Church, Dublin, Saturday, April 19 at 11 a.m. with Reverend Maurice CHARBONNEAU officiating. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to L'Arche (Stratford) through the funeral home at (519) 348-8643.

Gerald (Jerry) Norbert LOOSEMORE, (C.D. with Bar)
The family announces with sorrow his passing on May 1, 2003 in his 64th year. He was born in Killarney to the late Norbert and Ruby (PATTERSON) LOOSEMORE and attended Saint John de Brebeuf School and Little Current High School prior to joining the Royal Canadian Signal Corps in 1959. After a 25 year career, he retired from the Canadian Armed Forces Communications Command with the rank of Master Warrant Officer and subsequently joined the Communications Security Establishment for an additional thirteen years during which he was instrumental in the modernization of the NORAD communications system. Jerry was made Scouter in 1978, a member of Royal Canadian Legion Branch #177, and he had an extensive repertoire of Newfoundland folk music. He returned to Manitoulin Island to pursue his interest in genealogy. He is survived by his wife, the former Evelyn PECK, his son Christopher (Gayelene,) and daughter Melissa (Donnie) CLARK. He will be dearly missed by his sister Patricia and brothers Peter (Vivian), Harold (Laurine), Michael (Ann), and James (Bernice). He will be lovingly remembered by his mother-in-law Erma PECK, sisters-in-law Phyllis MARSHALL, Beverly (Everett) MORPHET, and brothers-in-law Iliff (Jane) PECK and Warren (Gail) PECK. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Jerry will be remembered by his family and Friends for his generosity, his storytelling, and his sense of humor. A memorial service celebrating his life will be officiated by Mr. D. J. LAROUCHE at the graveside at the St. Bernard's Catholic Cemetery, North Channel Drive, on Saturday, May 17, 2003 at 3 p.m. with Interment.

Cherished grandfather of Catherine BUTELLA and husband Don ROBINSON, Robert BUTELLA and wife Kim SONNET, Debra LOOSEMORE, Sheri LOOSEMORE, Lauri LOOSEMORE and husband Brian WALL, Cheryl BOUSQUET, Marsha BOUSQUET, Chistopher BOUSQUET and wife Kristen JACKLIN. Great grandfather of nine. Brother of James and wife Ann, Wilber and wife Marie and sister Florence and husband Arnet THOMPSON/THOMSON/TOMPSON/TOMSON, all predeceased. Funeral service was held on Tuesday, September 23, 2003 at Island Funeral Home with burial in Mountainview Cemetery.
