John OBIMWAIWAI-- CURRIE BAREFOOT
March 8, 1919 to January 14, 2003. He passed away peacefully on Tuesday at 10: 30 am at the Espanola General Hospital. Beloved husband of the late Elizabeth KING also predeceased by parents Bill BAREFOOT and Maggie KAY as well as all his brothers and sisters. Beloved father of Leon (friend Jennifer) of Whitefish Falls, Leslie (wife Marge) of Birch Island, Emily, Ashlie, Marilyn, all of Toronto, Margo (step daughter) of Orillia. Ex-wife Violet of Toronto. He will be sadly missed by grandchildren, nephews, nieces and many close Friends. He enjoyed his hobbies like fishing, hunting, and many other sports. Visitation was held on Wednesday until the funeral service on Friday, January 17, 2003 all at Birch Island Community Complex. Burial in Birch Island Cemetery, Arrangements in care of Island Funeral Home.

In loving memory of Emma KERR who passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 14, 2003 at the Manitoulin Health Centre at the age of 88 years.
Predeceased by husband Lloyd KERR (1993.) Predeceased by her parents Daniel and Emma (STERLING) KAY. Dear mother of Wayne and wife Joyce of Naughton, Garry and wife Dawn of Manitowaning. Cherished grandmother of seven and great grandmother of 13. Loved sister of Hannah Jane (husband John BUIE), William Thomas, George Wesley (wife Lottie), Robert John (wife Doreen), Daniel Francis (wife Grace), Joseph Edward (wife Mary), Donald Lee, Susan (husband George PILON), Herman Roy (wife Lizzie), all predeceased. Survived by sister Mary Matilda and husband William BONIFACE. Visitation from 1: 00 pm until Memorial Service at 2: 00 pm on Friday, June 20, 2003 at Knox United Church, Manitowaning, Ont.

In loving memory of Deacon David Roland COLEMAN TRUDEAU at the age of 78 years Thirty years of sobriety. Died peacefully surrounded by his wife and family at the Manitoulin Health Centre on Wednesday evening December 10, 2003.
Beloved husband of Clara (FOX) TRUDEAU of Wikwemikong and first wife the late Tillie KUBUNT of Newberry, Michigan. Dear son of the late Dominic and Angeline (WASSEGIJIG) TRUDEAU of Wikwemikong. Dear step-father to Bill TUCKER, Sharon (husband Ray) Wynn and Bob TUCKER of Newberry, Michigan, Lindell MATHEWS of Wikwemikong, Annie KAY (friend Eric EADIE,) Mathew and Linda MATHEWS (predeceased.) Loving grandfather to Billy, Karen, Jimmy, Linda (friend Wayne), Ronald (friend Tracy), Maxwell, Lindsay, Michael, Darla and a few more from Newberry, Michigan (names unknown at time of printing). Predeceased by two grandchildren Linda Marie and Lucy Marie. One great granddaughter Deanna MATHEWS. Loving brother of Stella (Jim predeceased) PAVLOT of Sault, Michigan, Ursula (Bob) SCHUPP of Meza, Arizona, Elsie (John predeceased) BOWES of Shorter, Alabama. Rested at St. Ignatius Church, Buzwah. Funeral Mass was held at Holy Cross Mission, Wikwemikong on Monday, December 15, 2003 at 11: 00 a.m. with Father Doug McCarthy s.j. officiating. Cremation at the Sagamok Anishnawbek First Nations Crematorium. Lougheed Funeral Home.

Born August 31, 1916 in Rochester, New York died after a long and courageous battle, on July 31, 2003 at the Guelph General Hospital. He was a resident for the past year at St. Joseph's Health Centre, Guelph. Predeceased by his first wife Grace TURNER. Lovingly remembered and missed by his wife Audrey LIVERNOIS. Dearly loved father of Natasha VAN BENTUM (Henri) and Bruce Gridley DAVIS (Janet WRIGHT,) of Vancouver. Stepfather of John LIVERNOIS of Guelph, and Laurie STATHER of Belleville; dear brother of Joyce LOVETT (Bob) of Kitchener and Jim DAVIS (Mary) of Maple grandfather of Rachel DAVIS, Celine and Jacob RICHMOND, Nicole STATHER, Michael STATHER (Tabitha), Ryan STATHER, and Ali and Becky LIVERNOIS; and great grandfather of four. Fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews, family and Friends. During World War 2, he served with the Toronto Scottish Regiment in England and Europe. He will be remembered for his thirst for knowledge and as a gifted writer and reader. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, August 6, 2003, at 1: 30 p.m. at Knox Presbyterian Church, 20 Quebec Street, Guelph, with the Reverend Thomas KAY officiating.
