MacKIE, William -- 87, suddenly at Toronto Western Hospital, Past Master and Founding Member of Westgate Lodge No. 734, and Past Principal of Lebanon Chapter, loving husband of Ann, will be fondly remembered by son Joe Murphy and wife Phyllis, grandchildren Karen and husband Rob, Jill and husband Gari, Tamra, Steven, great-grandchildren Conner, Caitlin and Cian. William Grant WITTY
In loving memory of William Grant WITTY, January 29, 1922-June 1, 2002.
Grant Witty, a resident of the Manitoulin Lodge and formerly of Gordon Township, died at the Mindemoya Hospital on Saturday, June 1, 2002 at the age of 80 years. He was born in Gordon Township, son of the late Thomas and Flora (SCOTT) WITTY. Grant was a veteran of WW2, and had served overseas. When he returned from the war, he worked in a steel plant in Sault Ste. Marie, then moved to Mills Twp. where he farmed until moving to Gordon Twp, and then sold monuments. He continued to sell monuments until 1988 when his son Bruce took over the business. He had many hobbies including hunting and especially fishing. He enjoyed carpentry work, and was a "handyman" who could fix anything. He was a dedicated and faithful member of Br.514 Royal Canadian Legion, Gore Bay. Grant was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He will be sadly missed, but his memory will be cherished and his legacy will be carried on by his children, whom he instilled a love of life.
Dearly loved husband for 58 years of Adeline (BURMASTER) WITTY of Gore Bay, Loving and loved father of Chester (wife Donna) of Hanmer, Clifford (wife Lori) of Thessalon, Bruce (wife Linda) of Gore Bay and Peter (wife Melanie) of Unionville. Proud grandfather of 12 grandchildren and 1 great granddaughter. Dear brother of Willard WITTY (wife Bessie) of Evansville, Nellie NOLAND (husband George predeceased) and Ken WITTY (wife Maizie) of Sault Ste. Marie. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by sister Bella and her husband Boyd McKINLEY, brother Jim WITTY and infant sister Ruby. Friends called the Culgin Funeral Home on Sunday June 2, 2002. The funeral service was conducted in the Wm. G. Turner Chapel on Monday June 3, 2002 with Mr. Les CRAMP officiating. Interment in Gordon Cemetery.

Willard B. WITTY
In loving memory of Willard B. WITTY, August 9, 1908 to October 31, 2002.
Willard WITTY, a resident of R.R#1 Evansville, passed away at the Mindemoya Hospital on Thursday, October 31, 2002 at the age of 94 years.
He was born in Burpee Township son of the late Thomas and Flora (SCOTT) WITTY.
Willard began working on the fishing tugs at the age of 17 and fished all his life until his retirement. He was a member of the Ontario Commercial Fisherman's Association and the Trapper's Association. He also enjoyed hunting, trapping. A loving and loved husband, father, and friend, he will be sadly missed, but many memories will be cherished.
Dearly loved and loving husband of Bessie (McKINLEY) WITTY, loving and loved father of Delena and husband John DEEG of Evansville and Darwin and wife Karen of Courtice. Dear brother of Ken WITTY of Thessalon, and Nellie NOLAND of Gore Bay. Predeceased by sisters Ruby and Bella and brothers James and Grant. Dear grandfather of David (Michelle), Brian (Ashley), Cheryl (Sean), Janice and Paul. Great grandfather of Rebecca, Thomas, Brett and Mickey-Lynn. Also survived by a number of nieces and nephews. Relatives and Friends called the Culgin Funeral Home on Friday November 1. The funeral service was conducted at the Burpee Mills Complex, on Saturday, November 2, 2002. Interment in Burpee Mills Cemetery. MILNER, Maud -- Passed away at Lakeridge Health Whitby on November 15, 2002, in her 88th year. Dear daughter of the late Gertrude (1977) and John McKINLEY (1928) and stepfather Ernie GIBSON (1980.) She will be sadly missed by her husband and best friend of 59 years, Jack. Dear mother of Judith MILNER of Cambridge, England, Barbara and Jan VANHAARLEM of London, Ontario and Pamela WOLSTENHOLME and James Wilson of Coldwater, Ontario. Maud will be sadly missed by grandchildren Jeffrey, Jason (Collette), Leigh (Kelly), and Toby (Tracey). Great-grandmother of Jasmine, Dakota, Courteney, Shae-Lynn, Sydney and Sacha. Maud was a valuable member of the Saint John the Evangelist's choir for many years and had a life long love of animals that resulted in many stray animals finding a loving home. Mrs. Milner will be resting at the W.C. Town Funeral Chapel, 110 Dundas St. E., Whitby (905) 668-3410 on Monday, November 18, 2002 from 12 to 1 p.m. Service to follow in the chapel at 1 p.m. Cremation. If desired, memorial donations may be made to the Ontario Humane Society and would be greatly appreciated.

LESLIE, Ruth -- (A member of Ebenezer United Church and Canadian Daughters League No. 29. Worked as an inspector for Johnson Controls, Scarborough since 1949. Ruth retired with thirty-three years service in 1982). Peacefully, at Extendicare, on Tuesday, November 12, 2002, LESLIE, Dorothy Ruth (née NICHOLS.) Born in Courtice, on April 7, 1917, Ruth was the daughter of the late James NICHOLS and Maria Christana NICHOLS. Her husband Harry LESLIE and her stepmother Mrs. Mary NICHOLS died before her. She is also survived by five sisters, Irene ALDSWORTH of Courtice, Florence CORY of Oshawa, Connie McKINNON of Perth, Beverly WALLIS of Oshawa, Sandra STEWARD/STEWART/STUART of Oshawa and four brothers, Maxwell of Toronto, Jim, Robert and Art of Oshawa. Predeceased by five brothers, Bert, Bill, Percy, Ted, Herb and three sisters, Ada YOUNG, Grace BOWLER and May McCOLL. BYRON, Robert Paul -- (Former Vice-President, Creative Director, J. Walter Thompson). As a result of injuries sustained as a traffic accident victim on January 23, 2002, Robert Paul BYRON, age 66, passed away November 11, 2002. Bob fought a courageous battle for nearly 10 months and his strength was an inspiration to many. Predeceased by wife Shirley CADE and parents Dorothy and Joseph, Bob spent his last days loved by a circle of Friends who were with him until the end. Bob will be sadly missed by Cerina CHURCHILL- WADE, husband Glen WADE and children Katie and Braxton, Steve PERNIE, Yvonne McKINNON, Greg GREASON and Jo-Ann BREHM. In accordance with Bob's wishes, a cremation has taken place. A memorial celebration of Bob's life will be arranged at a later date. His Friends would like to thank the nursing staff of the Special Care Unit, Toronto Rehab Institute, Dunn Avenue, for their compassion and splendid care. McKINNON, Agnes Amelia ''Toody'' (née BIGELOW) -- Died peacefully in her sleep at Central Park Lodge, Toronto, on Monday. November 18, 2002. Predeceased by her beloved husband Keith, her sister Mary GRANT and infant brother Jack BIGELOW. Loving and much loved mother of Jane, Gail and her husband John MacNAUGHTON, Ann and her husband Thomas KNIGHT. Dear Nana of Nicole McKINNON, Matthew and Adeline MacNAUGHTON, Jeremy KNIGHT and his fianc‚e Jerri ROBINSON, Kim Knight BOUND and her husband Jeff. She will be remembered with great affection by her brothers Dr. Bill BIGELOW of Toronto and Dr. Dan BIGELOW and his wife Sonia of Winnipeg, her sisters-in-law Eleanor McKINNON and Jean JOHNSON of Regina, her devoted caregiver Amelo RANARA, and her many nieces, nephews and Friends.
