Rita Winnifred HAWKE
In loving memory of Rita Winnifred HAWKE (née ARCHER,) 89 years, who passed away peacefully in her sleep, at Manitoulin Centennial Manor, Monday morning, March 11, 2002. Rita was born in Sault Ste. Marie, ON. She lived in Garson and the Sudbury area for several years, before moving to Little Current. She was a very active member of the United Church and the Hospital Ladies Auxiliary. She was always willing to help on any project. Rita was a very dedicated volunteer for the Cancer Society, receiving a certificate of appreciation for her efforts. She also received a lifetime membership to the Manitoulin Health Centre Hospital Auxiliary. Beloved wife of Norman Edgar HAWKE, predeceased Oct. 28, 1994. Loving mother of Kendall (wife Jan) and Daniel (wife Brenda), all of Little Current. Loving grandmother of Kelly, Danna, Angela, Devon and Alison and great grandmother of Caitlan, Christian, Destiny, Dylan, Tyler and Jordanna. Loving daughter of Mary Isabel ARCHER (née SAWYER) and Bertram ARCHER, both predeceased. Dear sister of Norma BUCK (husband Albie) of Toronto, Doreen McDONALD (husband Angus, predeceased) of Toronto, Bertram " Bud" ARCHER of Buffalo, NY. Predeceased by sisters Jean, "Ted", and Thear. Will be sadly missed by many nieces and nephews, and special daughters Sheila McBRIDE and Sharon LANE. A Memorial Service to celebrate Rita's life will be held on Thursday, March 14, 2002 at the Little Current United Church, at 1: 00 p.m. Arrangements in care of Island Funeral Home.

Will be sadly missed by his nephews Richard MacDONALD (wife Ethel) of Dundas, David MacDONALD (wife Theresa) of Sudbury and Bob PERKINS of Toronto. Funeral Service was held in the Tehkummah Pentecostal Church, Tehkummah on April 4th, 2002. Interment took place at Hilly Grove Cemetery, Manitoulin Island. Funeral arrangements entrusted to the Lougheed Funeral Home, 252 Regent St. Sudbury.

At Simcoe Manor, Beeton, on Wednesday, October 9th, 2002. Mildred BROWN in her 97th year, beloved wife of the late Donald CADDEL. Loving mother of Eleanor (Mrs. Harold McDONALD.) Sheila O'LEARY, and Carolyn (Mrs. Bert BURNS). Loved by her 11 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. Rested at Rod Abrams Funeral Home, Tottenham, (905)936-3477, on Friday October 11th, 2002 from 7-9p.m. Funeral service was held on Saturday October 12, followed by cremation.

Adeline Mary KING
May 3, 1915 to December 14, 2002
Adeline KING, a resident of Wikwemikong, passed away at the Manitoulin Health Centre, Little Current, on Saturday, December 14 2002 at the age of 87 years.
She was born in Wikwemikong, daughter of the late David and Jane (ASSINEWE) CORBIERE.
Part of her life was spent raising her family on the farm, then she worked in Oakville for a period of time, before returning to Wikwemikong in the mid '50s. She was a member of AMIKOOK and the Catholic Church. She will be remembered by
her family as a kind and caring wife, mother, grandmother and friend.
She will be sadly missed, but many happy memories will be cherished.
Adeline was predeceased by her beloved husband David KING in 1981.
Loving and loved mother of Cecil, wife Catherine KING of Saskatoon Donald, wife Elaine KING of Fort Erie Elizabeth, husband Gary GAUTHIER of Peterborough and Loretta, husband Len McDONALD of Orillia.
Proud grandmother of 12 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
Also survived by sister-in-law Rita CORBIERE of Wikwemikong, and several nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by brothers Adam, Ambrose and his wife Angeline, John and his wife Victoria and James and his wife Mary. Friends called the Holy Cross Mission, on Sunday December 15 and Monday December 16. The funeral mass was held at the Holy Cross Mission on Tuesday December 17, 2002 with Father Douglas McCARTHY as celebrant. Interment in Buzwah Cemetery. Culgin Funeral Home

Grandfather of 13 and great grandfather of 16. Survived by sisters Doris (Fred RAY) of Peterborough, Helen (Richard HARRIS) of Huntsville and brother Joe (Amy) WILLIAMSON of Little Current.
At Jim's request direct cremation. Jim's favourite charity was the CNIB, donations there would be appreciated. Arrangement in care of Island Funeral Home.

Leland Elsworth McINTYRE, born June 30, 1922-died May 11, 2002.
Leland passed away on Saturday, May 11, 2002 at Lakeridge Hospital Oshawa, Ontario.
Beloved husband of the late Margaret (STEPHENS,) son of the late Ronald and Christena McINTYRE. Loving father of Carol (Ken) McILVEEN, Ron (Irene), Paul (Linda) McINTYRE. Loving remembered by grandchildren, Ken (Nada,) Kevan (Tara) McILVEEN, Stephen, Christina and Krystal McINTYRE. One great granddaughter Olivia McILVEEN. Greatly missed by sister Evelyn YOUNG, and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by Estella McFARLANE (Loyal,) Merdick (Bessie,) Theresa Lloyd (Clifford,) Helen WAGNER (Frank), Grace McDOUGALL Tracy (Don, Earl), Mabel Tonn (Al), Geraldine and Gerald McINTYRE and brother-in-law Roy YOUNG.
Leland was a Veteran of World War 2, a Mason and Shriner. He worked for Simpson's for 35 years. Memorial service will be held on July 20th at Providence Bay United Church. Interment in the Providence Bay Cemetery.
