Lenore Sadie SMITH
December 23, 1915-November 19, 2002
Nora SMITH, a resident of Mindemoya, died at the Mindemoya Hospital on Tuesday, November 19, 2002 at the age of 86 years.
She was born at Mindemoya, daughter of the late William James and Ellen ( Nellie)
(FERGUSON) McALLISTER. Nora had been very active in her community,
as a member of St. Francis of Assisi Church, the Anglican Church Women, Senior Citizens Clubs, and helping any way she could. She enjoyed crafts, crocheting, knitting and quilting as well as euchre, bingo and playing cribbage. Her greatest joy was her family. She will be remembered as a loving and caring lady, who made great pies and heavy cake.
Predeceased by her loving husband, James B. SMITH. Special friend of Mel BOWERMAN of Tehkummah, loving and loved mother of Les and Diane SMITH of Sudbury, Blaine and Patricia SMITH of Little Current, Bob and Anne SMITH of Mindemoya, Gary and Brenda SMITH of Whitefish and guardian of Roberta (Lou) VAILLANCOURT, son Tyler, of Abbotsford, B.C. Proud grandmother of Darren (Pauline), Jennifer (Mike), Dayna, Jamie, Kerri (Troy), Kristie, Deanna and Jeffery and great grand_son Dawson. Dear sister-in-law of Erma McALLISTER and Phyllis JOHNSON. Predeceased by sisters Kathleen (Kenneth) TAILOR/TAYLOR, Odetta (Herb) BOND and brothers Robert (Violet) McALLISTER, Peter McALLISTER, Audorn McALLISTER and Orval (Evelyn) McALLISTER. Also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Friends called the St. Francis of Assisi Church in Mindemoya on Thursday November 21, 2002. The funeral service was conducted at the church on Friday November 22, 2202 with Canon Bain PEEVER officiating. Interment in Mindemoya Cemetery.

Ruby Mae COULTIS
In loving memory of Ruby Mae COULTIS a resident of Tehkummah and for the last three years, Wikwemikong Nursing Home, at Wikwemikong Nursing Home on Tuesday October 22, 2002 in her 95th year.
Ruby taught school for many years and helped run the family farm.
She was always very active in her community, serving on different committees. She loved bingo and a good game of euchre. Ruby had many talents, knitting, sewing, gardening, teaching, crocheting and creating poetry are just a few. Many Friends and memories were made throughout the years and many are captured, forever in her poetry.
Predeceased by her cherished husband Wilfred COULTIS. Loved by her children Corrine GILL (Art predeceased) of Sarnia and Tehkummah, Willard John 'Don' and Marlene of Owen Sound. Will be forever remembered by grandchildren Rob GILL (Jodie), Wendy and Ed TAILOR/TAYLOR, Joanne WELSH (Robert predeceased,) Cynthia COULTIS, Clark COULTIS, great grandchildren Melissa (Cloud McCALLUM,) Holly TAILOR/TAYLOR, Michael TAILOR/TAYLOR, Jessica COULTIS, Amanda COULTIS, Jody ROSS- BECK (Kelly), Jeffery McKAY, Bob McKAY and great great grandchildren Hailee BECK, Zoe McCALLUM, Gage COULTIS, and Tyrone McKAY. Will be missed by extended family, John and Pat NOVAC and their children Michelle and Mathew. Dear sister of Ethel CASE of Sandfield, Bertha CHATWELL of Owen Sound, Tessie HILL of Little Current, sister-in-law Hazel McMULLEN of Gore Bay. Predeceased by parents Matilda and Henry McMULLEN, sister Ella Mae and brothers Bill and Harry McMULLEN, predeceased by several brothers and sisters-in-law. Loved by many nieces and nephews. Relatives and Friends called on Friday October 25, 2002. Funeral service was held on October 26, 2002 both at Island Funeral Home, Little Current with Pastor Wally Wood officiating. Burial in Hilly Grove cemetery. Arrangements in care of Island Funeral Home.

SKELCHER, Edmund Robert " Ed"
(retired from Ontario Transport Board, past director of Ontario Motor Coach Assoc.)
After a courageous battle with cancer, Ed entered into rest peacefully with dignity at the Ross Memorial Hospital, Lindsay on Monday, June 17, 2002. Ed was the beloved husband of the late Gloria Bellamy SKELCHER. Lovingly remembered by his children Judy McALPINE (Peter), Rick SKELCHER (Cathy), Joy MARSHMAN, Sherri BICKLE (Doug) and Jonathan SKELCHER. Stepfather to Carol HEIMLER (Bob,) Patricia BUSCH (Don), Lynne ASSELIN (Tim) and Richard BELLAMY (Karen). Fondly remembered by his 16 grandchildren and by his only sister, Roberta RITCHIE (Alex.) Ed will be greatly missed by relatives, many Friends and Tinkerbell. Visitation will be held at the Mackey Funeral Home, 33 Peel Street, Lindsay on Wednesday from 7-9 p.m. and on Thursday, June 20, 2002 from 12 noon until time of funeral service in the chapel at 2: 00 p.m. Interment at Riverside Cemetery, Lindsay. The family would appreciate expressions of sympathy to the Ross Memorial Hospital, Lindsay.
