STICKLE, Ivan Alton -- At his residence in Colborne, on Friday, December 13, 2002. Ivan Alton STICKLE was the beloved husband of the late Vera Bernice STICKLE (née STRONG.) Dear father of Leon and his wife Nancy of Elora and Gail and her husband James PEARSON of Milton. Fondly remembered by Beverly SOMERTON of Glace Bay. Grandfather of Brent PEARSON, James PEARSON, Jayne HAHN, Christine WOODARD and David STICKLE. Great-grandfather of Meaghan and Tyler PEARSON and Olivia and Ella HAHN. Brother of Clarke STICKLE, Carl STICKLE, Fern FAIRBAIRN and Marilyn JOYCE. Also Carman, Don, Harry, Mavis and Winifred, all predeceased. A private family service will be held following cremation. A Celebration of Life for Ivan will be held at the Colborne Legion, Branch 187 on Thursday, December 19, 2002 at 1: 30 p.m. If desired, memorial donations by cheque to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family. PARROTT, John Edward Ross - M.D. 1915-2002 -- Passed away quietly, after a lengthy illness at his residence in Oak Ridges on November 10, 2002. son of the late Lionel and Minnie (MAJURY) PARROTT. Husband of the late Jean (née DAVIES.) A graduate of University of Toronto - Medicine 1943. Served as a Medical Officer in W.W.II, stationed Prince Rupert, Alberni Valley and Vancouver General, British Columbia. His medical career was spent in the Scarborough area and served on staff at Scarborough General Hospital for many years. Ross was president of the Toronto East Medical Association 1958/59. He was one of the original doctors forming Physicians and Surgeons Inc. in the early 50's (predecessor of Ontario Health Insurance Plan). Was a member of Kew Beach United Church, Toronto and Glen Major Church, Uxbridge where he (along with his wife) was involved in the music departments using his Associate, Royal Conservatory of Music of Toronto. Retired to run a small cattle hobby farm in Uxbridge Township 1967. Volunteered as part of the Medical Team at Haliburton Scout Reserve for 14 years 1981-1995. Enjoyed greatly reading, canoeing, sailing, golf, art and antiques. Was a member of the Scarborough Model Railroad Club. Will be greatly missed by caregivers Shirley and Thomas HUNTLEY, the Fred ROBINS family of Stouffville and the Edward FOLLOWS family of Richmond Hill and Friends Anne ELLIS, Marcia STILES, and Carolynne PHILLIPS. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Christian Blind Mission, Stouffville and Bob Rumball School of the Deaf, Toronto. Cremation followed by a Memorial Service on Sunday, November 24, 2002 at 2: 00 p.m. at Saint Anne's Anglican Church, 261 Gladstone Avenue, Toronto. Reception to follow.

BRENNAN, Helen Meta (CALDBICK) -- At Trillium Villa Nursing Home, Sarnia on Tuesday, November 13, 2002, Helen Meta (CALDBICK) BRENNAN age 94 of Sarnia, formerly of Toronto., Helen was a member of St. Nicholas Anglican Church, Toronto and was very active in the church when she was younger. Loving wife of the late Dr. Lawrence BRENNAN (1973.) Loving mother of her son Bill BRENNAN and his wife Judy of Sarnia, and of her daughter Margaret and her husband Peter STILLE of Toronto. Dear grandmother of Linda and her husband Chris SLOAN, John BRENNAN and his wife and Sarah, Anthony STILLE and his partner Saskia and John STILLE and his wife Gina. Predeceased by brothers Samuel, Joseph, George and Edward and sisters Margaret and Jane. A private memorial service will be held at a later date in Toronto. William Robert IRWIN
In loving memory of William Robert IRWIN, February 2, 1907-May 10, 2002.
William IRWIN, a resident of the Manitoulin Lodge, and formerly of Barrie Island, died at the Lodge on Friday, May 10, 2002 at the age of 95 years.
He was born at Magnetawan, son of the late William Robert and Georganna {STEWARD/STEWART/STUART} IRWIN. Will had farmed all his life, and in 1971 he and Selena moved to Barrie Island, where they continued farming. Will had been a member of the Agricultural Society, the Parry Sound Potato Club and was a faithful follower of Jesus Christ and a member of the United Church. Many will remember seeing Will out on the water, fishing or ice fishing in the early morning, and indeed much of the day. He truly enjoyed fishing, and was very knowledgeable in the sport. He will also be remembered by many for giving his catches to people around town and Barrie Island.
He will also be remembered as a quiet, but loving and caring husband, father, grandfather and friend. Will helped family and Friends whenever he could and will be remembered as truly, a gentle man.Beloved husband of Selena Esther {MILLER} IRWIN. Dearly loved father and father-in-law of Donnabelle (husband Walter predeceased) SMYTH of Silver Water,
Reverend Helen and Reverend Donald REID of Medicine Hat, Alta, and Esther and Wally STILLER of Sudbury. Proud grandfather of Shirley Anne (husband Robin), Colleen (husband Eric), Karen (husband Charles), Heather (husband Jason), Tony, Angela and Eric, and great grandchildren Samuel (predeceased), Myriam, Jonathon, Leona, Micah and Sarah. Dear brother of Grace (husband Rev. Al ROBLIN predeceased) of Beaverton, Edith (predeceased by husbands Ted HALL and Stewart ALDERSON) of Huntsville and Jessie, husband Harvey HOGAN of Peterborough and sister-in-law Vera IRWIN of Sundridge and Marion IRWIN of Milton. Predeceased by brothers Elmer and his wife Mary, Victor, Reverend Roy and infant brother Kenneth. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the Culgin Funeral Home on Wednesday after 7: 00 p.m. The funeral service will be conducted at Lyons Memorial United Church on Thursday, May 16, 2002 at 11: 00 a.m. with Reverend Geraldine BOULD officiating. Then to Trinity United Church, Magnetawan for visitation 10-11 a.m. on Saturday, followed by funeral service at 11 a.m. with Reverend Linda SAFFREY officiating. Interment in Chapman Cemetery.
