In Memory
Carole Ann SMITH (COFFEN)
A Loving Wife, Mother and Grandmother, who left us all on December 8th, 2000
God saw you getting tired,
when a cure was not to be,
So He closed His arms around you,
and whispered "come to me".
You do not deserve what you went through,
and so He gave you rest.
God's garden must be beautiful,
for he only takes the best.
In time we saw you sinking,
we watched you fade away,
Our hearts were almost broken,
you fought so hard to stay,
But when we saw you sleeping
so peacefully from pain,
we could not wish you back,
to suffer that again.
If you had spoken before you died,
these words you'd have replied
"Weep not for me but courage take
and love one another for my sake."

SMITH, Jacqueline W. (CLIFFE- AGNEW) -- At the Huronia District Hospital, Midland on November 22, 2002, in her 71st year. Cherished wife of Gordon. Dear mother of Gordon Jr. Predeceased by her parents Ada Iris Isobel (BARKER) and Arthur CLIFFE- AGNEW. Jackie's courage and determination in her fight with cancer was remarkable. Jackie was born in Montreal. Her wide circle of Friends from Montreal West High, her sorority and co-workers at C.I.P., where Jackie shone as a Legal Secretary, will remember her with love. Jackie was a talented artist with oils and watercolours. She also had a flair for decorating her home and enjoyed entertaining. Her special love was cooking. Following Gordon's transfer to Toronto in 1970, Jackie balanced her life as a new mother with a part-time career in Real Estate. Close to their Thunder Beach cottage and great Friends. Shortly after they joined the Midland Huronia Probus Club - a very rewarding experience. Jackie really enjoyed her time as a volunteer with the Huronia District Hospital Auxilliary whose members were her special Friends. The family wishes to thank Dr. Peter CAMERON. His counsel and constant support during the long months was outstanding. The nurses and staff of 2 East Wing were so kind to Jackie and her family. They went beyond. Cremation with no visitation.
