Lloyd George LANE
In loving memory Lloyd George LANE, April 9, 1920-March 19, 2002.
Lloyd LANE, a resident of Barrie Island, died at the home of his daughter Marta, on Tuesday, March 19, 2002 at the age of 81 years.
He was born on Barrie Island, son of the late George Ernest and Martha {VANCISE} LANE, and had lived and farmed on the family farm all his life, where he and Evelyn raised their family. Lloyd also drove school bus for 23 years, and had been active on many boards, such as the Barrie Island Council, Reeve, Road Superintendent, was on the Board of Children's Aid, Flower of Hope, Co-Op and served on many committees of Lyons Memorial United Church. Lloyd also enjoyed supply teaching, one of his favourite activities. Lloyd was a loving and caring husband, father, grandfather and friend. His quiet manner and his presence will be sadly missed in the community.
Dearly loved husband of Evelyn LANE of Barrie Island. Loving and loved father of Larry of St. Catharines, Lola (husband Ray GUDMUNDSON predeceased) of Sudbury, Rhonda (husband Charlie SMITH) of Massey, Doug of Windsor, Marta (husband Dr. Joe WONG) of Markham, Lori (husband Ron ERWIN) of Scarborough, and Tammy (friend Paul THOMPSON/THOMSON/TOMPSON/TOMSON) of Toronto. Proud grandfather of Jeremy (Anne), Rebecca (Bill), Terry (fiancé Emily), Jennifer, Chuck, Angela, Sheryl (David), Ben, Cameron, Cynthia, Brandon, Angi (Chad), Raymond, Lily, Kevin, Steffi, Mitchell, Anson and Aya, and great grandchildren Tiana, Brendan, Maeve, Mark and Angus. Dear brother of Larry (wife Margaret) LANE of Gore Bay, and brother-in-law of James and Madeline LANE, Reverend Bessie LANE, Maudie and Barry POWELL and Bob and Debbie LANE. Predeceased by son Peter, brothers Clarence, Henry, John, Harold and sisters Mary and Agnes.
The funeral service was conducted in Lyons Memorial Church on Saturday, March 23 with Reverend Bessie LANE officiating. Spring interment in Gordon Cemetery. If so desired, donations may be made to the Lyons Memorial United Church or the charity of choice. Arrangements entrusted to Culgin Funeral Home.

Roland Edmund TREPANIER
In loving memory of Roland Edmund TREPANIER who passed away peacefully at his home in Mindemoya on Friday, July 26, 2002 at the age of 74 years.
Roland worked for Summerville Belkin for 42 years. Marred his best Friends and wife, Edith (née ATHERTON,) loved step father of, Dianne and Doug ARMSTRONG of Mindemoya. Jim and Pat GILES, Patrick and Nora GILES, Sandra SMITH, Duke and Bonnie GILES all of Windsor, David GILES of Mindemoya. Step grandfather of 18 and step great grandfather of 34. Will be remembered always by brother Maurice and Lillian TREPANIER of Elliot Lake and sister Lulu (Loretta.)

Entered into rest at the Ross Memorial Hospital in Lindsay, on Friday, August 16, 2002.
Shirley Elizabeth Grace CLARKE, in her 53rd year, was the beloved wife of Wayne Smith of Woodville. Loving mother of Rodney SMITH and his companion William FULGHUM of Toronto and Christine and her husband Erik HOFFMAN of Timmins. Dear Grama of Alexander and Lauren HOFFMAN. Dear sister of Sharon and Gerald McCULLIGH, Sheila and Eric MORPHET, Daniel and Roberta CLARKE, Dale and Robert VANHORN and Dwight CLARK.
Dearly remembered by many nieces and nephews. Funeral service was held at the Woodville United Church on Monday, August 19. Interment Smith's Cemetery in Woodville. Lenore Sadie SMITH
December 23, 1915-November 19, 2002
Nora SMITH, a resident of Mindemoya, died at the Mindemoya Hospital on Tuesday, November 19, 2002 at the age of 86 years.
She was born at Mindemoya, daughter of the late William James and Ellen ( Nellie)
(FERGUSON) McALLISTER. Nora had been very active in her community,
as a member of St. Francis of Assisi Church, the Anglican Church Women, Senior Citizens Clubs, and helping any way she could. She enjoyed crafts, crocheting, knitting and quilting as well as euchre, bingo and playing cribbage. Her greatest joy was her family. She will be remembered as a loving and caring lady, who made great pies and heavy cake.
Predeceased by her loving husband, James B. SMITH. Special friend of Mel BOWERMAN of Tehkummah, loving and loved mother of Les and Diane SMITH of Sudbury, Blaine and Patricia SMITH of Little Current, Bob and Anne SMITH of Mindemoya, Gary and Brenda SMITH of Whitefish and guardian of Roberta (Lou) VAILLANCOURT, son Tyler, of Abbotsford, B.C. Proud grandmother of Darren (Pauline), Jennifer (Mike), Dayna, Jamie, Kerri (Troy), Kristie, Deanna and Jeffery and great grand_son Dawson. Dear sister-in-law of Erma McALLISTER and Phyllis JOHNSON. Predeceased by sisters Kathleen (Kenneth) TAILOR/TAYLOR, Odetta (Herb) BOND and brothers Robert (Violet) McALLISTER, Peter McALLISTER, Audorn McALLISTER and Orval (Evelyn) McALLISTER. Also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Friends called the St. Francis of Assisi Church in Mindemoya on Thursday November 21, 2002. The funeral service was conducted at the church on Friday November 22, 2202 with Canon Bain PEEVER officiating. Interment in Mindemoya Cemetery.

At Sunnybrook and Women's College Health Sciences Centre on Thursday, September 19, 2002, at the age of 68. David is the loving husband of Joan (MURISON;) cherished brother of Marian and Bill BIEMAN brother-in-law of Evelyn WILSON, Pearl and Ted SMITH, Vivian GALLO, Marie MARTIN; and "little brother" of Marion Hannah and Gwen Wharram. He is also a dear uncle of Peter and Leslie BIEMAN, David BIEMAN, Lynda and Peter DUCKWORTH, Wayne and Aiko MURPHY, Bonnie WINCHESTER, Tim and Carole MARTIN, Gaye and Marty DUNLOP, Scott and Anna MARTIN, and Heidi McCRON. David loves his many great-nieces and nephews as he also mutually loved his music students during his 25 years at North Toronto Collegiate. Even as a teenage organist, David served his Lord through the ministry of music. Just this week we discussed the idea that "life is like music - some high notes and some low notes, but a wonderful song none the less." David and Joan thank their many caring Friends at East York Community Care Access Centre and at Sunnybrook. The family will receive Friends at the Humphrey Funeral Home - A.W. Miles Chapel, 1403 Bayview Avenue (South of Eglinton Avenue East), from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. on Sunday, September 22. Service to be held at Trinity United Church, 461 Park Avenue (at Main Street), Newmarket on Monday, September 23 at 11 o'clock. Interment to follow at Markdale Cemetery. Memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society, 20 Holly Street, Suite 101, Toronto M4S 3B1, or Sleeping Children Around the World, 28 Pinehurst Crescent, Toronto M9A 3A5, would be appreciated by David's family.
