HAWKE (née
ARCHER,) 89 years, who
passed away peacefully in her sleep, at Manitoulin Centennial Manor,
Monday morning, March 11, 2002. Rita was born in Sault Ste. Marie,
ON. She lived in Garson and the Sudbury area for several years,
before moving to Little Current. She was a very active member of the
United Church and the Hospital Ladies Auxiliary. She was always
willing to help on any project. Rita was a very dedicated volunteer
for the Cancer Society, receiving a certificate of appreciation for
her efforts. She also received a lifetime membership to the
Manitoulin Health Centre Hospital Auxiliary. Beloved wife of Norman
Edgar HAWKE, predeceased Oct. 28, 1994. Loving mother of Kendall
(wife Jan) and Daniel (wife Brenda), all of Little Current. Loving
grandmother of Kelly, Danna, Angela, Devon and Alison and great
grandmother of Caitlan, Christian, Destiny, Dylan, Tyler and
Jordanna.

VANEVERY,
November 3, 1931 - April 26, 2002.
Shirley VANEVERY, a resident of Meldrum Bay, died at the Sudbury Regional
Hospital Site, on Friday April 26, 2002 at the age of 70 years. She was
born at Tehkummah, daughter of the late Dodds and Vilda
{PERRINS}
McCAULEY.
Shirley taught school for 35 years, starting in Meldrum Bay, then Elizabeth
Bay, Burpee and finally Gore Bay, retiring after her accident. Although
Shirley was dealt a position in life that would make many others not able to
cope, she enjoyed many of the simple things in life, such as driving around
the countryside or going to watch the cattle with Clarke, watching wildlife,
but mostly spending time with her family. Shirley's
greatest enjoyment, without question was her grandchildren, her children and
Clarke. Her love and memories will be cherished by each forever.
Dearly loved wife and best friend of Clarke. Loving and loved mother of
