GROSSI, Robert Paul -- March 30, l922 - November 20, 2002. Robert, affectionately known as Bob, was born the son of Robert Joseph GROSSI and Grace Marie PELLETTIER. Bob was raised and lived his whole life in the High Park area of Toronto. He attended St. Vincent de Paul School and St. Michael's College School. A World War II Veteran, he served in the Royal Canadian Air Force and was stationed at Watson Lake, Yukon. In 1945, he married Valerie GUERARD and they raised their seven children lovingly. Bob worked in the family property management business and ran for public office in the 196O's. His long term memberships in the Young Men's Canadian Club, Toronto Board of Trade and Argonaut Rowing Club were important to him as he was a proud Canadian and Torontonian. Bob lead a full and vibrant life. He always enjoyed his family and Friends around him and they shared his interests of golf, horses, boats, dancing, casinos and Florida vacations. Several generations of family enjoyed many summers at his cottage at Island Grove on Lake Simcoe. Many exuberant family dinners were enjoyed at the Old Mill Towers, where he lived for over 20 years. He set an example of longevity, generosity and enduring love for family and will be dearly missed.
