In loving memory of Rita WASSEGIJIG (PRICE,) December 5, 1929 - May 5, 2002
Rita Theresa WASSEGIJIG PRICE died at Bemidji, Minnesota on Sunday May 5, 2002 at the age of 72 years. She was born in Wikwemikong, daughter of the late George WASSEGIJIG and Marie OSAWANIMIKI. Dearly loved mother of Michael (wife Rene), and one grand_son Che.
Predeceased by sister Mary KING (husband Charlie) and brothers Boniface and first wife Mary RECOLLET (survived by wife Peggy,) Michael, Joseph, Brothers Charles, Francis and Alphonse died in infancy. Rita completed residential school in Spanish. Her first years of employment were in the Sault Saint Marie, Michigan area, where she met Billy Joe PRICE. They were married and moved to Oklahoma. Most of her adult life was spent in Oklahoma and Texas. After retirement, Rita traveled more often to her original hometown of Wikwemikong. Many nieces, grandnieces, nephews, grandnephews, cousins, and Friends in many places will miss her. Rita traveled far and wide, and her indomitable spirit ensured that she made Friends everywhere she went.
Friends called at St. Ignatius Church, Buzwah after 3: 00 p.m. Thursday May 9, 2002. Funeral Mass was celebrated at Holy Cross Mission on Saturday May 11, 2002 at 11: 00 a.m. Interment took place at Wikwemikong Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Manitowaning Chapel.

HALL, John Alexander - at York Central Hospital, Richmond Hill, on Wednesday December 25th, 2002 at the age of 88 years. John HALL of King Township, beloved husband of Pauline and dear father of Susan PRIEUR of England, Jill and her husband John M. SKINNER of Stratford, Rebecca HALL of Toronto and Jennifer and her husband Peter ALKER of England. Proud grandfather of Marc, Danielle, Jennifer, James, Allison, David and Lorraine. Great-grandfather of Luc, Kristin, Bronwyn, Meredith and Carys. Brother of Robert of Toronto and the late Philip. John will be sadly missed by Ann and Ezra SCHABAS and their family and Lorraine FAIRLEY and her family. John was loved and admired as a teacher of Art, both at the University of Toronto School of Architecture and many Ontario summer schools. He was a life member of the Ontario Society of Artists, Art Gallery of Ontario, and honourary member of Ontario Society of Architects. He illustrated many books, created murals in enamel on steel for several public buildings and designed exhibitions for both commercial and museum venues. A memorial service will be held at the Roadhouse and Rose Funeral Home, 157 Main St. South, Newmarket on Saturday January 4th, 2003 at 11 a.m. As a person who contracted Parkinson's Disease in his later years, we request in lieu of flowers a contribution to the Parkinson's Foundation, 316-4211 Yonge St. P.O. Lenna Rebecca HORE
In loving memory of Lenna Rebecca HORE, June 13, 1919 - October 15, 2002
Lenna HORE, a resident of RR 2 Gore Bay, died at the Mindemoya Hospital on Tuesday, October 15, 2002 at the age of 83 years.
She was born in Burpee Twp., daughter of the late Charles and Phamie BAILEY) BELL.
Lenna had been associated with the Jehovah's Witnesses: for many years.
She had worked in the Soo with her sister Pearl doing housework in 1936.
She returned home in 1937 when she met Charles HORE, and they married July 6, 1938.
Lenna enjoyed making quilts, playing cards and bingo. She loved flower gardening and country and bluegrass music. She also liked her home Bible studies with Jehovah's Witnesses. She was a kind and generous person, always putting the needs of others ahead of her own.
She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her family and Friends.
Predeceased by her husband Charles Raymond HORE in 1984. Dear and loving mother of Doreen FOGAL (Alford) Gore Bay, Gary (Bev), Little Current, Lorraine BAILEY (Murray), Little Current, Zelda COBB, Whitecourt, Alta., Roger (Kathy), Barrie, Marilyn ARMSTRONG (Ron), Chatsworth, Morris (Bonnie,) Gore Bay, Blair, Gore Bay, Sharon WEPLER (Pete), Durham, Murray (Melody), Gore Bay, and Kevin of Markham.
Loving grandmother of 34 grandchildren, 45 great-grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Dear sister-in-law of Ethel PRIOR, Ellen LANDRY, Laurel HENDRICK, Darlene BARRY, Bill and Ruth HORE, Jack and Lydia HORE and Ted HORE.
Predeceased by brothers and sisters Gordon, Austin (Jack),
Reginald (Dade), Arnold (Bun), Pearl MORDEN, Mabel, Charlotte (Lot) PAISLEY, Lily MONTGOMERY and granddaughter Cheryl COBB.
Friends called at the Culgin Funeral Home after 7 pm on Wednesday October 16. The funeral service was conducted in the Wm. G. Turner Chapel on Thursday, October 17, 2002 at 1: 00 pm with Mr. Eric NICHOLSON officiating.

MacKAY, Edith Isabel -- Passed away on the 25th of December, 2002. Daughter of the late Donald MacKAY and his wife Alice PRIOR. Predeceased by sisters Alice MacKay HALFPENNY and Merle Sutherland MacKAY. Sadly missed by her Friends: Mary CUNNINGHAM, Robert DAVIS, Frank GABOUREL, and many others. Edith was a longtime employee of Halifax Insurance. She was a member of St. Columba United Church on Vaughan and St. Clair (now part of St. Matthew's United Church). She was one of the first women in the United Church to qualify and a supervisor for ministerial formation. Much of her early life was devoted to the Canadian Girls In Training and she was loved by many young women whose lives she touched. A Funeral Service will be held at the Trull ''North Toronto'' Funeral Home and Cremation Centre, 2704 Yonge Street (5 blocks south of Lawrence), on Saturday morning, December 28, 2002 at 11 o'clock. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society, 2323 Yonge Street, Suite 500, Toronto, Ontario. M4P 2C9.
