PEEBLES, William Norman (Bill) -- Peacefully at Joseph Brant Memorial Hospital, Burlington, Ontario on December 28, 2002 at 4: 45 a.m. after a lengthy battle with heart disease. Bill will be sorrowfully missed by his beloved wife Betty, his three sons David, Kevin and his wife Diane, and Steven. Bill was also the proud grandfather of Cameron, Deanna, Taryn, Cori, Kimberly, Megan, Andrew and Matthew. He will also be sadly missed by his extended family member, Evan LEBLANC. Bill is survived by a number of sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nephews, nieces, and cousins all of whom will miss him tremendously. The family extends much gratitude and special thanks to Dr. Ian DARCEL, Brenda and Colleen Dr. Tim CUDDY, Sandy and Vicky; and Deb WEBER of the Joseph Brant Memorial Hospital's Heart Function Clinic. Visitation will be held at Smith's Funeral Home, 1167 Guelph Line (one stoplight north of Queen Elizabeth Way), Burlington (905-632-3333) on Thursday 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. The family would greatly appreciate donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation. There will also be a private memorial service for the immediate family.

PEER, Stanley Earl -- Suddenly on Thursday November 14, 2002, at the age of 76 years. Predeceased by his beloved wife June. Father of Stephen, Laura (and her husband Ben) and David. Cherished grandfather of Sarah, Amanda and Jeffery. Earl will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by many family and Friends. Friends may visit at the Jerrett Funeral Home, 660 Kennedy Rd., Scarborough (between Eglinton and St. Clair Aves. E.) on Sunday November 17 from 2-5 p.m. A complete funeral service will be held in the chapel on Monday November 18 at 1 p.m. Cremation to follow.

ANDERSEN, Esedora Julie -- Passed away, in Georgetown, on Thursday, December 19, 2002. Dora ANDERSEN of Meaford, in her 94th year. Beloved wife of the late Svend ANDERSEN. Dear mother of Elizabeth BRAUN, Ellen CHRISTENSEN and her friend Greg STEPHENS, all of Georgetown, and Andy and Linda ANDERSEN of Meaford. Sadly missed by three grandchildren, Norman BRAUN and his wife Lisa, Ingrid and Darcey RING, and Elaine and Nick PEET, and great-grandchildren Olivia and Lauren PEET and Lexi BRAUN. Resting at the Gardiner-Wilson Funeral Home, Meaford, Ontario, where the Funeral Service will be held on Monday, December 23 at 11 a.m. Interment Lakeview Cemetery, Meaford. Visiting at the funeral home on Sunday evening from 7-9 p.m. As your expression of sympathy, donations to the Ontario Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated. A Memorial Service will be held in Augsberg Lutheran Church, Mill Street, Brampton, on January 4, 2003 at 3: 30 p.m.

Lenore Sadie SMITH
December 23, 1915-November 19, 2002
Nora SMITH, a resident of Mindemoya, died at the Mindemoya Hospital on Tuesday, November 19, 2002 at the age of 86 years.
She was born at Mindemoya, daughter of the late William James and Ellen ( Nellie)
(FERGUSON) McALLISTER. Nora had been very active in her community,
as a member of St. Francis of Assisi Church, the Anglican Church Women, Senior Citizens Clubs, and helping any way she could. She enjoyed crafts, crocheting, knitting and quilting as well as euchre, bingo and playing cribbage. Her greatest joy was her family. She will be remembered as a loving and caring lady, who made great pies and heavy cake.
Predeceased by her loving husband, James B. SMITH. Special friend of Mel BOWERMAN of Tehkummah, loving and loved mother of Les and Diane SMITH of Sudbury, Blaine and Patricia SMITH of Little Current, Bob and Anne SMITH of Mindemoya, Gary and Brenda SMITH of Whitefish and guardian of Roberta (Lou) VAILLANCOURT, son Tyler, of Abbotsford, B.C. Proud grandmother of Darren (Pauline), Jennifer (Mike), Dayna, Jamie, Kerri (Troy), Kristie, Deanna and Jeffery and great grand_son Dawson. Dear sister-in-law of Erma McALLISTER and Phyllis JOHNSON. Predeceased by sisters Kathleen (Kenneth) TAILOR/TAYLOR, Odetta (Herb) BOND and brothers Robert (Violet) McALLISTER, Peter McALLISTER, Audorn McALLISTER and Orval (Evelyn) McALLISTER. Also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Friends called the St. Francis of Assisi Church in Mindemoya on Thursday November 21, 2002. The funeral service was conducted at the church on Friday November 22, 2202 with Canon Bain PEEVER officiating. Interment in Mindemoya Cemetery.
