PAPADIMITRIOU, Peter -- Suddenly at his home in Markham on Saturday, December 21, 2002, in his 83rd year. Peter, beloved husband of the late Helene. Loving father of Tom PEROFF and his wife Florence, Mary and her husband Danny KINAHAN, Bill PEROFF and his late wife Diane, Kathy and her husband Rick OSTROM. Dear Dedo of Siobhain and Kirk, Melissa and Sean, Stacey and Rob, Danielle, Justin, David, Damien, Christopher, Erin, Tyler and Brooke. Dear brother of Steve, Santa, Aspasia and Anna. Lovingly remembered by his family and Friends. Friends will be received at Dixon-Garland Funeral Home, 166 Main St. N. (Hwy. 48), Markham, on Monday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Service at St. Dimitrija Solunski Macedonian Orthodox Church, 201 Main St. N., Markham on Tuesday at 10 a.m. Interment Pine Hills Cemetery.

PAPINEAU, Burnis Margaret (Bunny) -- Passed away, at Dufferin Oaks Nursing Home, Shelburne, on Wednesday, December 25, 2002, Bunny CLAWSON, in her 82nd year; beloved wife of Archie Louis PAPINEAU; loved mother of Valerie COLBY and her husband Louis GORLICK of Orangeville, Philip PAPINEAU and his wife Celeste of Acton and Lee and his wife Susan of Brampton; dear grandmother of Michelle, Nicole, Arawa, Bronwyn, Nadia, Aislinn and Miles and great-grandmother of Kerrin and Drake; also sadly missed by her brother Arthur and her sister Lynn and her many other relatives and Friends. A Memorial Service will be held at the Dods and McNair Funeral Home and Chapel, 21 First Street, Orangeville, on Friday, January 3, 2003 at 11: 00 a.m. The family will receive Friends 1 hour prior to service time. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Dufferin Oaks Nursing Home or the charity of your choice would be appreciated. A tree will be planted in memory of Bunny in the Dods and McNair Memorial Forest at the Island Lake Conservation Area, Orangeville. A dedication service will be held on Sunday, September 7, 2003 at 2: 30 p.m.

Passed away peacefully, in her sleep, on Saturday, May 18, 2002. Survived by her loving husband Len of Madoc, children Diane DONLON of Madoc, Douglas DUCKWORTH and wife Marina, Deborah PAPPAS and husband Frank, and David DUCKWORTH, all of Toronto, three loving grand_sons Matthew, Mark, and William, all of Toronto, sister Ida FOREMAN, niece Judy CALDWELL and husband Dr. Tom CALDWELL and their children Chelsea and Josh, all of Vancouver, brother and sister-in-law Douglas and Rita DUCKWORTH and their children Michael and Lisa, all of Toronto, and in-laws Vera BYTAUTAS and William and Georgina PAPPAS, all of Toronto. Predeceased by her parents John and Ida BAXTER, and son-in-law Sergeant Ron DONLON, M.T.P. Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Helen's Life will be held on Thursday, May 23 at 4 p.m. at The Simple Alternative, 275 Lesmill Rd., North York. In lieu of flowers, donations to Providence Centre (Birch House). A special thank-you to nurses and staff at Providence Centre, especially Josie, Kate and Jeannie, for their Friendship to Helen, Len and family.

PEAT, Elizabeth (Betty) (née LANG) -- Died suddenly on December 24, 2002, in her 93rd year, after a very brief illness at home. Daughter of the late Col. W.R. LANG and Edith (Daisy) HOLLINGTON, Elizabeth was the wife of the late J.R. MacDonald (Don) PEAT mother of Dr. Marjorie HENDERSON, Nora PEAT and Daniel PEAT sister of the late Dr. Janet ROSS, the late Margaret (Bunty) DONALDSON and Vernon LANG. She is survived by her three children her brother; her sister-in-law, Marjorie KAYE (John;) and her son-in-law the Reverend Harvey HENDERSON; her daughter-in-law, Iraina NEUFELD; six grandchildren, Brill PAPPIN, David Piers PAPPIN, Ben PAPPIN, Donald HENDERSON, Christopher HENDERSON and Emma PEAT; and twelve nieces and nephews and their children. She was a graduate of Havergal College and the University of Toronto (B.A., B.Paed.), where she was active in a Model League of Nations, and in anti-war work with the Youth Council. During her years in Niagara she worked as a secondary school substitute teacher, and as a teaching assistant at Brock University, and was involved with the National Ballet Guild, then with the Pelham Historical Society and the Preservation of Agricultural Lands Society. Elizabeth was active until the end, planting bulbs in her garden last week, and was heard correcting her son's grammar on the evening she died. Her family will miss her love and guidance. Special thanks to Dr. Shari FALLIS, Community Care Access Centre Niagara, and the Red Cross Homemakers who enabled her to maintain her independence. Visitation, following cremation, at the Pedlar Funeral Home, Fonthill, 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday. Funeral at 11: 00 a.m. on Monday, December 30th at Holy Trinity Anglican Church, Fonthill. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Amnesty International.
