WAXER, Lise Aerinne -- Suddenly, after a brief illness, passed away on Tuesday, August 13, 2002, in Hartford, Connecticut., U.S.A. Beloved wife of Medardo ARIAS- SATIZABAL and much loved daughter of Diane YIP (Bernhard PAIER) and Peter WAXER (Katherine WAXER.) Sadly missed by sisters, Danielle (Stephen RUSSELL,) Meichen and Gillian, brother Matthew, and Zaidy Percy WAXER. Lovingly remembered by Aunty Barb (Jonathan RUDIN,) many aunts, uncles, cousins, and her cherished extended family and Friends. Lise, 37, a native Torontonian, was an author, musician, traveller, ethno-musicologist and, since 1997, a Professor of Music at Trinity College, Hartford, where her love of music of all cultures was a joy and inspiration to her students, colleagues, Friends and family. All who knew Lise were touched by her vibrancy, her love of life, her joy in sharing her discoveries, and her commitment and passion to the creation of a world where all cultures are equally valued and celebrated for their unique gifts. She will be deeply missed and never forgotten. A memorial service celebrating her life will be held Sunday, September 22, 2 p.m., in the Great Hall, Hart House, University of Toronto, 7 Hart House Circle. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the Lise Waxer Memorial Lecture Fund, c/o Graduate Program/Music Dept., York University, Room 225, Winters College, 4700 Keele Street, Toronto, Ontario M3J 1P3.

Loving husband of 51 years of Geraldine ''Jill'' and father of Jocelyn (Dan BUCHANAN) and Simon (Shari-Lee) PAINE. Cherished grandfather of Brian and James BUCHANAN and Heather and Philip PAINE. Formerly with Central Bridge Co. and HLX Canada 1957-1985. Donations to the Victorian Order of Nurses or the Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family. John Stanley PAISLEY
In loving memory of John Stanley PAISLEY, August 17, 1933-February 5, 2002.
Jack PAISLEY, a resident of Spring Bay, died at the Mindemoya Hospital on Tuesday, February 5, 2002 at the age of 68 years. He was born in Gore Bay, son of the late Stanley and Alice {TURNBULL} PAISLEY. Jack lived on the family farms in Mills until he was 10 years of age, when the family then moved to the farm in Spring Bay, where he lived and farmed all his life. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge, the OFA and the Belgian Horse Association. He had many interests which included his horses and cows, was knowledgeable and interested in local history, liked cutting wood and he also enjoyed people. Jack will be remembered not only for his love of people, but also his ability of making people happy. Jack's genuine smile and caring of others will be truly missed in the community, but his family and Friends will have many happy memories of him. Dear loved husband of Ann {McCANNELL} PAISLEY. Loving and loved father of Pam her husband Greg BOND of Gore Bay and Peter at home. Proud grandfather of Nicholas BOND. Loved son-in-law of Rachel McCANNELL of Gore Bay and dear brother of Bill PAISLEY of Montreal. Brother-in-law of Tom NEWBURN and his wife Marg and Lauchie McCANNELL and his wife Claudette. Predeceased by his parents, sister Barbara NEWMAN, sister in law Barbara McCANNELL and father in law James McCANNELL.
Friends called the Culgin Funeral Home, Gore Bay on Wednesday, February 6, 2002. The funeral service was held in the Wm. G. Turner Chapel on Thursday, February 7 with Reverend Frank HANER officiating. Spring interment in Mindemoya Cemetery. If so desired, donations may be made to the Mindemoya Hospital Auxiliary. Lenna Rebecca HORE
In loving memory of Lenna Rebecca HORE, June 13, 1919 - October 15, 2002
Lenna HORE, a resident of RR 2 Gore Bay, died at the Mindemoya Hospital on Tuesday, October 15, 2002 at the age of 83 years.
She was born in Burpee Twp., daughter of the late Charles and Phamie BAILEY) BELL.
Lenna had been associated with the Jehovah's Witnesses: for many years.
She had worked in the Soo with her sister Pearl doing housework in 1936.
She returned home in 1937 when she met Charles HORE, and they married July 6, 1938.
Lenna enjoyed making quilts, playing cards and bingo. She loved flower gardening and country and bluegrass music. She also liked her home Bible studies with Jehovah's Witnesses. She was a kind and generous person, always putting the needs of others ahead of her own.
She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her family and Friends.
Predeceased by her husband Charles Raymond HORE in 1984. Dear and loving mother of Doreen FOGAL (Alford) Gore Bay, Gary (Bev), Little Current, Lorraine BAILEY (Murray), Little Current, Zelda COBB, Whitecourt, Alta., Roger (Kathy), Barrie, Marilyn ARMSTRONG (Ron), Chatsworth, Morris (Bonnie,) Gore Bay, Blair, Gore Bay, Sharon WEPLER (Pete), Durham, Murray (Melody), Gore Bay, and Kevin of Markham.
Loving grandmother of 34 grandchildren, 45 great-grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Dear sister-in-law of Ethel PRIOR, Ellen LANDRY, Laurel HENDRICK, Darlene BARRY, Bill and Ruth HORE, Jack and Lydia HORE and Ted HORE.
Predeceased by brothers and sisters Gordon, Austin (Jack),
Reginald (Dade), Arnold (Bun), Pearl MORDEN, Mabel, Charlotte (Lot) PAISLEY, Lily MONTGOMERY and granddaughter Cheryl COBB.
Friends called at the Culgin Funeral Home after 7 pm on Wednesday October 16. The funeral service was conducted in the Wm. G. Turner Chapel on Thursday, October 17, 2002 at 1: 00 pm with Mr. Eric NICHOLSON officiating.

HEINTZMAN, Bradford Craig -- Died peacefully after a brief illness at Soldiers Memorial Hospital in Orillia on Tuesday, December 10, 2002, at 80 years of age. Charismatic to the end, Brad leaves behind a large following who will cherish their time with him: his wife Joan and her children, Catherine and Craig PAISLEY his children Brad, Jennifer and Robb HEINTZMAN (his daughter Meredith having predeceased him by 6 days); his children-in-law Peter CASH and Marie HEINTZMAN; his 5 grandchildren Chandler HASLEHURST, Jeremy CASH, Sarah, Claire and Craig HEINTZMAN and his wide circle of Friends in Lagoon City, Toronto and Australia. Brad combined a wonderful sense of humour with sound practical judgment to help those around him discover and maintain balance and perspective in their lives. A natural leader and superb athlete, Brad brought a high degree of competence to everything he did and yet was always unpretentious. Brad was a lieutenant in the Royal Canadian Naval Volunteer Reserve during the Second World War, serving in both the Atlantic and Pacific theatres. Following the war, Brad embarked on a distinguished career in the Canadian music industry. He was a Vice-president of Heintzman and Co., President of Hammond International Canada and later General Manager of Young Chang Canada. He was also a co-founder and President of the Music Industry Association of Canada. Following his retirement, he was an active member and served as President of the Lagoon City Community Association. A memorial service will be held for Brad and for his daughter, Meredith, at Timothy Eaton Memorial Church, 230 St. Clair Avenue West, Toronto, on Friday, January 17, 2003 at 11: 00 a.m.
