WHEELER, G. Hazel -- It is with a heavy heart that I announce the passing of my dear mom Hazel on Tuesday, November 12, 2002 in Aurora, in her 90th year. Much loved wife of the late James (1977.) Left to remember is her daughter Linda (Jerry O'REILLY,) three special grandchildren James PATRICK, Robert WHEELER, Gabrielle KATE and four precious great grandchildren Justin, Jordan, Liam and Darcy. Predeceased by her four brothers. Friends will be received at the Carruthers and Davidson Funeral Home, 7313 Highway 26 (235 Main Street East), Stayner, 1-866-428-2637 on Friday, November 15, 2002 from 10: 30 a.m. until the time of service in the Chapel at 11: 30 a.m. Interment Stayner Union Cemetery. ORLOFF, David Kenneth -- On Wednesday December 11, 2002, in his 55th year. son of Irv, and Edna and her husband Borris. Loving father of Susan FEBBO. Beloved brother of Bonnie ANGELIE, Julie and her husband Lloyd McGEACHIE, Claudia and her husband Bob DENNIS, and Linda and her husband George REIMER. Dear uncle of Daniel, Wilson, Andrew, Deborah, Ryan, Joey, and Tracey. He will be sadly missed by Barbara LANGILLE, Pat ORLOFF, Steve O'REILLY and Elliott LARMAN. A Memorial Service was held at Oshawa Funeral Service, 847 King Street West (905-721-1234) on Wednesday, December 18th, at 1 p.m. Interment Groveside Cemetery. Donations to the Humane Society would be appreciated by the family.

CARRY, June Mary (née WALKER) -- On Wednesday, December 25, 2002. Predeceased by her husband Armand, and her son Bob. Daughter of the late Percy WALKER and Rita O'REILLY. Dearly loved Mother of Marie MURPHY, Jean HOWLETT (Art), Marian WOOD, and Steve. Loving Grandmaw of Lynn, Chris, Diane, Noelle, Richard, Brett, Matthew, Jessica, Patrick, Daniel, Julianne, and Walker C.S.B., and sister-in-law of Joyce WALKER, John MURRAY, and Will and her husband Bill GRIFFITHS. Lovingly remembered by many relatives and Friends. At Mom's request, no visitation will be held. Cremation has taken place. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Gregory's Church, 122 Rathburn Road, Etobicoke, on Thursday January 9, 2003 at 10: 00 am. BLUMENFELD, Sam -- 1926 - 2002. Following a lengthy and courageous battle, Sam BLUMENFELD passed away peacefully, with his family at his side, on December 8, 2002, in Richmond Hill, Ontario. He is survived by his wife of more than 55 years, Sara, and their children Dalia, Ray, and Miriam, his grandchildren Zachary, Jessica, and Ben, his sisters and brother with their spouses, Bianca and Frank BLANARU, Clara and Jack OREN, Sara and Sandu GOODMAN, and Yitzchak and Malvena BLUMENFELD, his brother-in-law Rubin and Clara MAYER, the MAYER family, the MANEL family, the HABERMAN family, and the MIZRACHI families. Sam and Sara immigrated to Canada in 1953 with limited resources and learned to adapt to a new land, a new culture and a new language. He purchased Niagara Esso Service in 1957 and ran this business until his retirement in 1988. Over more than 30 years of serving his customers in Winnipeg, Sam built a wide network of Friends and associates. He was proud of the success of his business and was a leader in supporting the rights of his industry. Although his beginnings were humble, he was self-educated and well versed, with a curious mind, strong will and many interests. Our family wishes to offer our gratitude to the staff of York Central Hospital in Richmond Hill, Ontario with special thanks to Brenda HRYSIO and her entire team of men and women, the staff on the third floor of the Continuing Care Centre, Donna BELMORE, Dr. ZATSMAN and in particular Dr. FITURI. Their care, compassion and concern for Sam is truly appreciated. Donations can be made to the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation of Canada.
