Robert MOODIE, 1837
Militia colonel fatally wounded in a night attempt to run barricades set up by Upper Canada rebels at Montgomery's Tavern on Yonge Street, north of Toronto; fired pistol and suffered wounds when rebels under William Lyon Mackenzie answered with rifles; fell from horse and captured; died in early hours of morning.

Survived by mother Elsie MOORE of Clarke's Beach, Newfoundland, predeceased by father Jacob MOORE. Will be remembered by sisters and brother, Pearl DUBIL and husband Ed, Florence LIMAGE and husband Les, Doris DOREY and husband Cal, Rita BOWERING and husband Ron, Wayne MOORE and wife Amy. Annie PATTISON (HARPER) BRYANT
In loving memory of Annie PATTISON (HARPER) BRYANT who passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, October 17, 2002 at the age of 88 years.
Beloved wife of Neil BRYANT (predeceased April 15, 1996.)
Annie was born May 18/14 in New Waterford, Cape Breton, Nova Scotia, daughter of the late Lily and James HARPER. Predeceased by brother William. Dear mother of Gladys MOORE (husband Albert predeceased 1997) of Manitowaning, Mervyn and wife Joan BRYANT of Wainfleet, Lily and husband Dave BUGG of Lively. She was the loving grandmother of Darlene, Christine, Jennifer, Jeffery, Jaclyn and Melissa. Dear great grandmother of Cassandra, Jordon, Megan and Brandon. Predeceased by two grandchildren Chris and Heather. Dear aunt of Corrine, Mae, Georgina, Nickie, Cathy, Jim, Brad, Brian, Billy, Jackie and Billie.
Annie met her husband Neil in Nova Scotia during the war. She left family and Friends for a new life working by her husband's side on their farm in Manitowaning. After Neil passed away, she filled her time with family and Friends. Annie loved being part of the four generations that traveled everywhere together. Her Friends were one of her greatest treasures in the last few years, she enjoyed going to the Friendship Club in Manitowaning and playing euchre or just spending Saturday going to yard sales with her friend Olive. Annie leaves a legacy of strength and strong family ties. She will be missed very much.
Visitation was held in Knox United Church Hall. The funeral service was held on Saturday, October 19, 2002 at Knox United Church in Manitowaning.
Followed by cremation with burial of ashes in Elm View Cemetery.
Arrangements in care of Island Funeral Home.

Shirley Helen MOORE
In loving memory of Shirley Helen MOORE at Laurentian Hospital, Sudbury on Monday, October 21, 2002 at the age of 72 years.
Predeceased by husband William MOORE. Loved by sons David and wife Pat NUNN of Regina, Sask. and Steve NUNN (friend Diane) of Little Current.
Will always be remembered by grandchildren Benjamin, Amanda, Jennifer and Laura.
Dear sister to Marion and husband Doug HILL of Kingston and Jim LUND of Santa Fe, New Mexico, predeceased by brother Doug LUND.
At Shirley's request she will be cremated with no services.

MOORE, Reverend Robert Joseph, Scarboro Foreign Mission 1919-2002 Died suddenly on Thursday, November 14. Ordained to priesthood in 1945 in Saint John's, Newfoundland, as a member of Scarboro Missions. Served in the Dominican Republic for 30 years. Served in the Archdiocese of Saint John's from 1977 until retirement in 1990. Predeceased by parents James and Hilda, and by sisters Gertrude (Morrissey), Della (Fagan) and Dorothy (MacDonald). Survived by brother Fredrick and sister Mary (Pavlas), and nieces and nephews. Waked at the Basilica of Saint John the Baptist in Saint John's, Friday, November 15, at 5: 00 p.m., with the wake service to follow at 7: 30 p.m. Mass of the Resurrection, Saturday, November 16, at 11: 00 a.m. A memorial mass will be held on Monday, November 18, at 7: 30 p.m. in the chapel at Scarboro Missions, 2685 Kingston Rd., Scarborough, Ontario.

Predeceased by his parents, Irma and Aladar HIDAS, his sister, Clara FRANCINI, and his brother, Karoly HIDAS. Beloved husband of Helga (née GERWIG) and loving, cherished father of his daughters Tina (Luke) and Madeleine (David). He will be missed by his many Friends and family both here and abroad. Loving daughter of Mary and the late Olie MOORE. Dear sister of Barbara SNOW and her husband Paul, and Bruce MOORE and his wife Celia Richardson. Loving daughter-in-law of Ted and Shirley TOPPAZZINI. Janet will also be fondly remembered by sisters-in-law Michele and her husband Dan McGANN, and Angela TOPPAZZINI. Favourite aunt of Jessica, Jake, Sarah, Connor and Georgia. Janet will also be missed by her aunts and cousins. Loving aunt of Alan MOORE and his wife Christine, Dale ROE and his wife Jayne, and Brenda SIMPSON. Great aunt of Jason and Coulton ROE. She served in Women's Royal Canadian Naval Service 1943-1945. She was a member of the Women's Royal Naval Service Association of Toronto, Toronto Naval Club, Navy League of Canada, and Royal Canadian Navy Association since 1959. She retired from the Royal Ontario Museum in 1984 as a member of the Quarter Century Club. Resting at the Murray Newbigging Funeral Home, 733 Mt. Pleasant Rd. (south of Eglinton), on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. where funeral and committal service will be held Tuesday at 1: 30 p.m. Cremation. Donations may be made to charity of choice.
