In loving memory of Violet "Vi" Yollanda (Dini) MITCHELL, 79 years.
Peacefully, Friday morning, February 1, 2002 at the Sudbury Regional Hospital-Laurentian Site.
Beloved wife of Jim MITCHELL of Garson. Loving mother of Jim (wife Diane) of Westlock, Alberta, Darlene (husband John MOFFAT) of Kansas, Christine (husband Richard LEFEBVRE) of Falconbridge, Landa (husband Eric CORMIER) of Garson, Cathy GREGORCHUK (husband John BLOUIN) of Azilda, and Colleen (husband Mark STEIMAN) of Oakville. Cherished grandmother of Jim Junior, Shannon, Michael, Danielle, Rik, Tony, Jennifer, Ashleigh, Mitchell, Carly and Rachel.
Born in Foyette, she married Jim in Toronto in 1945. She was a devoted member of Saint John the Evangelist Church and Catholic Womens' League. She loved spending time with her family, especially at the camp on Lake Mindemoya. She will be sadly missed, but always remembered with love. Funeral Mass was held in Saint John the Evangelist Church, Garson, Monday, February 4, 2002. Cremation in the Parklawn Crematorium. Arrangements entrusted to Jackson and Barnard Funeral Home.

BERNDL, Barbara (née RIPPEL) -- Died peacefully on Friday evening, November 22, 2002, at St. Michael's Hospital, Toronto, Canada, at the age of 83, surrounded by her family. Barbel, beloved wife of Dr. Alfred BERNDL. Loving mother of Walter and his wife Leslie (née LEFEBVRE,) and Elfi and her husband Nicholas GERE. Forever Oma to her five grandchildren: Marc (Sarah), Anne and her husband Murray WILSON, Elizabeth, Kylie MADDOCK (James) and Chelsea MADDOCK. Dearest sister to Frieda DOBLHOFER (Austria) and predeceased by her brothers Hans RIPPEL (Hilda, Alice) and Toni RIPPEL. She will be remembered by her nephews Erich DOBLHOFER and wife Traudi, and Paul DOBLHOFER and wife Gerti and son Harald, all of Austria. She leaves behind a lifetime of Friends in Toronto, Kitchener, Otter Lake, Georgian Bay, Austria and Germany. Friends may call on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Speers Cremation and Burial Options (2926 Dundas St. West just west of Keele. Tel 416-767-2154). Funeral Services Tuesday at 1: 00 p.m. at Prospect Cemetery Chapel (1450 St. Clair Avenue West). Cremation to follow. PERRY, Edith Ann ''Deed'' -- Died peacefully in hospital, on Sunday, December 22, 2002 at the age of 84, after a brief battle with cancer. Predeceased by her husband William Gladstone PERRY Q.C. (1969) and her daughter Nancy Ann (2001). Deed was the loved daughter of John Herbert CASTER and Della Ida Elizabeth McGILL. She is survived by her daughters Jane PERRY of Scarborough, Martha (Frank LEFEBVRE) of Edmonton, Alberta and Barbara (Darin and step-daughter Misti RICHARDSON) of Raymond, Illinois. Lovingly remembered by her grandchildren Kathleen (Dan ENGEL) and David LEFEBVRE (Brandi-Le MULLIGAN) of Edmonton. She will be missed by her many Friends in Northern Ontario and Toronto. Mrs. PERRY was a graduate of the Bishop Strachan School, Toronto and received a B.Sc. in Physical Education from the University of Toronto. Her early interests in athletics began with boating and swimming during summers at Caesarea on Lake Scugog and continued into her adult life. While raising her family in North Bay, Deed was active on the City Parks and Recreation Committee, taught basketball and square dancing. Together with her husband Bill, she enjoyed many years of golf, curling, cottaging and cheering on the Trappers and the Leafs. These are activities her family continues to enjoy. Her home was always hopping, with Deed co-ordinating the comings and goings of her daughters, the ''boys'' and their many Friends. Deed was an active member of the North Bay Real Estate Board starting with Knox Real Estate and concluding her 13 year career with Carlyle Real Estate. Following her return to Toronto in 1997, Deed became an avid member of the Providence Centre-Alzheimer Day Program participating fully in all club activities until she was hospitalized in November. Her smile and ready wit will be missed by both staff and club members alike. The family would like to thank Connie for her special care and devotion which allowed Deed to enjoy the comforts of home when not at the day program. Sincere gratitude is extended to Dr. Larry GROSSMAN and the exceptional staff of the Palliative Care Unit at Scarborough Hospital - Grace Division. Thanks especially to Heather, Claire, Karen and Bonnie. Your thoughtfulness and expertise made Deed's final days so much better and meant so much to her family. The family will receive Friends at the Ogden Funeral Home, 4164 Sheppard Ave. East, Agincourt (east of Kennedy Rd.), on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel at the Martyn Funeral Home, 464 Wylde Street, North Bay, Ontario on Monday at 2 p.m. Visitation to be held 1 hour prior to service. Interment Terrace Lawn Cemetery, North Bay, Ontario. If desired, memorial donations may be made to Scarborough Grace Hospital - Palliative Care Unit, your local Alzheimer Society or to the Providence Centre - Alzheimer Day Program.
