READ, Oswald ''Ossie'' -- (World War 2 Veteran.) Passed away peacefully at Trillium Health Centre, Mississauga, on Tuesday, December 17, 2002, at the age of 88. Beloved husband of the late Eynswith and father of the late Gladys Ruth HURDMAN. Loving father of Sandra and her husband Ted BALL, Terry HAYNES, Susan and her husband Tamo BIANCHI. Dear brother of Emily RADFORD. He will be sadly missed by his many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the Turner and Porter Yorke Chapel, 2357 Bloor St. West, at Windermere, east of the Jane subway, from 7-9 p.m. Thursday and 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friday. Funeral service in the chapel on Saturday, December 21, 2002 at 1 p.m. Interment Glendale Memorial Gardens. If desired, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.

Of Willowdale, Ontario. On February 25, 2002. Mrs. DUCKWORTH was twice married to Oscar SAUNDERS of Gondola Point, New Brunswick and William DUCKWORTH of Don Mills, Ontario. Both predecease her. She is survived by one brother Laurence HICKSON of Debolt, Alberta and his wife Alice, two sisters-in-law Mrs. Pat ROSE (Mary) of Montreal North, Quebec and Mrs. Jean HURLBERT of Montreal and by nieces and nephews and will be sadly missed by longtime companion Gerald ALDRICH of Willowdale, Ontario No service by request. Cremation.

BURTON, J. Roy -- Passed away on Friday, December 20, 2002 at Sunnybrook K Wing, beloved father of Margot Yvonne BURTON and Lydia Gail BURTON. Brother of Lucille THORNTON of Grande Prairie, Alberta. Loving husband of the late Frances Margaret BURTON nee HURLBURT. Roy will be missed by his many nieces in Alberta and Ontario and by members of Northminster United Church where he was an active member for more than 40 years. Roy was a Canadian Broadcasting Corporation employee for 25 years and enjoyed his long association with Nortown Amateur Radio Club. The Burton family would like to thank all the faithful visitors to the hospital in these last months. A Memorial Service to celebrate his life will be held at a later date.

Loving father of the late Gary. It was Ned's wish that there be no visitation. Cremation. A family graveside service will be held at Burlington Memorial Gardens. HEALY, Dora Louise (née DOWN) -- The family announces with sorrow the passing of Dora Louise HEALY, on December 26, 2002, in Toronto, at the Leisureworld Retirement Home, at the age of 90 years. Loving wife of the late John Basil HEALY. Dear mother of Michael (deceased) and his wife Pat, Judy KICINSKI and her husband Tony, Brian, John and his wife Carol Anne, Mary HURST and her husband John, and Danny. Fondly remembered by 15 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. Dear sister of Blanche and Orville. The family will receive Friends at the Humphrey Funeral Home - A.W. Miles Chapel, 1403 Bayview Avenue (South of Eglinton Avenue East), from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. on Sunday, December 29.
