VOGELSANG, Kenneth Robert -- Peacefully, surrounded by the love of his family, at Freeport Health Centre of Grand River Hospital, Kitchener, on Friday, December 27, 2002, at the age of 63. Beloved husband and best friend of Janet (née GRANT.) Devoted father of Keith and Tim, at home, and Janet WESTHEAD (Mike) of Tampa, Florida. Loving grandfather of Angela and Jennifer WESTHEAD. Dear brother of Beverley FOX (Peter) of Brampton. Dear son-in-law of Warren and Marjorie GRANT of Mississauga, and brother-in-law of Ken GRANT (Heather), Bruce GRANT (Susann), and Carol WILSON (Al HUBBARD.) Ken will be missed by his nieces and nephews, and by his many Friends. Predeceased by his parents Mazie and John VOGELSANG, and by his niece Andrea WILSON. Friends will be received at Westmount Funeral Chapel, 1001 Ottawa St. S. (at Westmount Rd.), (519) 743-8900, on Sunday, December 29, 2002 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Celebration of Ken's life and committal will be held at Forest Hill United Church, 121 Westmount Rd. East, Kitchener, on Monday, December 30, 2002 at 2 p.m., followed by cremation. Rev. James McKNIGHT officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Grand River Hospital Foundation (Freeport) would be greatly appreciated by the family. A friend to all who knew him

WATT, Edith Josephine (née SCOTT) -- Passed away quietly, at home, on November 21, 2002. Beloved wife of the late Alfred WATT. Loving mother of Barbara ANDERSON, son-in-law Jim and his children Craig, Alison and her husband Steve. Will also be remembered by her sisters Gina (Keith), Betty (Shields), brothers-in-law William KEITH and John SHIELDS, several nieces and nephews, and her very good friend Sarah (Celine) McAREE. She will be missed by many other Friends and relatives, both in Canada and the United Kingdom. The family wishes to thank Albert KIRSHEN (Temmy Latner Palliative Care Centre), the St. Elizabeth Order of Nurses, especially Maureen HUBBERT, and the North York Community Care Access Centre for their devoted care and attention. Friends may visit at the Jerrett Funeral Home, 6191 Yonge Street, North York (2 lights south of Steeles), from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friday. A complete funeral service will take place in the Chapel on Saturday at 3: 30 p.m. Private interment Pine Hills Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to any of the above organizations in her memory.

KARN, Elsie -- At Oxford Regional Retirement Home, Ingersoll on Thursday November 21, 2002. Elsie R.E. KARN (née EARLE,) formerly of Woodstock in her 95th year. Beloved wife of the late Lloyd W. KARN (1989.) Dear mother of Willard KARN and his wife Pat of Tillsonburg and Elizabeth HATTER and her husband Ray of Whitby. Loved grandmother of many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Also survived by her Friends Jill SMITH, Prudence RUCKLE and Mabel CUTHBERT. Predeceased by her daughter Grace KARN (1950,) son, Donald KARN (1997,) sisters Eileen HUBNER, Sophia LUDINGTON, Alice McROBERTS, Violet SCHERLE and brothers Robert, Samuel, Edward, Allan, Bill and Bert. Elsie was born in Wexford, Ireland in 1908 and immigrated to Canada 14 years later where she met Lloyd and married in 1928. Elsie helped to farm at the family homestead for many years on Bowerhill Road, now known as Karn Road in Woodstock. Friends may call at the R.D. Longworth Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock (519-539-0004) on Friday 7-9 pm where the funeral service will be held in the chapel Saturday at 1: 30 pm with Reverend Roger McCOMBE officiating.
