Margaret Elizabeth " Anne" NEWSON
In loving memory of Margaret Elizabeth "Anne" NEWSON who passed away peacefully at the age of 68 on Sunday, June 30, 2002 at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham, England while on a mission with the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
Beloved wife of the late Donald NEWSON and dear daughter of the late Alfred and Margaret CARTER (née BEVAN.) Fondly remembered in our hearts forever by her children, Greg (Susan AELICK) of Lively, Margaret (Geoff HADDOCK) of Bristol, England and William (Sharon HILL) of Toronto, and her grandchildren Kyla and Connor NEWSON of Lively.
Sister of Ted CARTER (Peggy LAWSON) of Guelph, Alice (Pete BAKER) of Gores Landing, Sharon (Ted McCOLLUM) of Cambridge, and the late Don CARTER. Daughter-in-law of Margaret Isabelle NEWSON and the late Roy Newson of Barrie, and sister-in-law of Al and Lou Ann NEWSON of Cardinal.
Funeral service was held on Tuesday, July 9, 2002 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Burnham Street, RR#4, Cobourg. Interment, St. Peter's Cemetery, Cobourg.

HALLIDAY, Charles John -- Peacefully, at Joseph Brant Memorial Hospital on November 19, 2002, in his 85th year. son of the late Charles and Alice HALLIDAY, of Chesley. Beloved husband of the late Mary HADFIELD. Very dear companion of Stella HUMPHREY, father of Richard and stepfather of Roger HADFIELD (Eleanor,) who will all miss him greatly. Dearest Gramps to David, Chris, Anna Jean, Phillip, Patty and Bradley, and eleven great-grandchildren. He was a graduate of Queen's University, Professional Engineer, a Navy Veteran, and the long-time Manager of Stoney Creek Hydro. After cremation, a memorial service will be held on November 26 at 2: 00 p.m. at St. George's Anglican Church, Guelph Line, just north of Derry Rd., Milton. Reception will follow at the church. If you wish, a donation to the charity of your choice would be appreciated. A very kind and gentle man.

Edward MASON of Ashburn, beloved husband of Florence ''Bert'' (née WATSON.) Loved father of Lynn and her husband William ROSS of Nestleton, Susan and her husband David GAINEY of Blackstock, Dale and her husband William BURNETT of Nestleton, and Lori MASON and her husband Mooch MORRISON of Orono. Loving grandfather of William Edward ROSS, Barry Paul ROSS and Tammy, Jen and David DAVIES, Mindy and Darrell PETTS, Dave GAINEY and Monica MASON, Mason L.J. RACINE, Arianna Christine RACINE and great grandfather of Cody, David, Daniel and Ronnie. Dear brother of Christine COVENEY, Jenny HADLEY and Sandy MASON and the late Anne THORNTON. HADLEY, Margaret Gwendoline -- Very peacefully passed away on the evening of December 23, 2002 at Runnymede Chronic Care Hospital in her 84th year. Beloved wife of Harry for 63 years. Dear mother and mother-in-law to Robert and Bonnie. Nana to Craig and Melissa. Remembered fondly by sister-in-Law Ellen ROBERTS and family. Ever remembered by niece Janice JONES and many Friends. A private cremation has taken place. If desired, memorial contributions to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario would be gratefully appreciated by the family. PATTERSON, Mildred Lilian (née QUAIL) -- On December 28, 2002, in her 83rd year, after a life well lived, at Chelsey Park Nursing Home in Streetsville. Beloved wife of Thomas S. PATTERSON. Devoted mother of Kathleen HADLEY and her husband Peter, Betty ANNE and her husband David WHITFIELD and Thomas PATTERSON Jr. Mildred will also be greatly missed by her 2 grand_sons, Kevin and Eric HADLEY. Mildred, her brothers John and James and her late sister Betty were all born in Winnipeg, but moved to Toronto at an early age. Graduating from the U. of T. in Household Economics in 1945, Mildred was an exceptional seamstress and subsequently taught dress-making and cooking in schools in Weston and Thistletown. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, January 3rd at 1 p.m. in the Chapel of Oakview Funeral Home, 56 Lakeshore Road West (one block east of Kerr) Oakville. In place of flowers, the family would prefer that donations be made to a charity of your choice.

HADLOW, Howard Earl -- Peacefully, at Allendale on Saturday, December 14, 2002. Howard HADLOW in his 85th year. Beloved husband of 54 years of the late Gerry HADLOW. Loving father of Ken and his wife Marion of Milton. Cherished grandfather of Barry of Burlington. Predeceased by his dear granddaughter Gayle. Also father of Robert and his family of Toronto and David and his wife Cathy of Mississauga. Also grandfather of Robert's daughter Kelly of Toronto, and David's sons Steven of Mississauga and Rick and his wife Lisa of Clinton, Connecticut. Great-grandfather of Rick's son Mitchell. Dear brother of George of California, Murray and his wife Dorothy of Mississauga and Ellen of Don Mills. Howard is survived by his aunt Grace BLACKWELL of Agincourt. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Graveside Service will be held at a later date.
