Bill WRIGHT, a resident of the Manitoulin Lodge, Gore Bay, died at
the Lodge on Monday, November 4, 2002 at the age of 91 years. He was
born in Mills Township,
son of the late Walter and Minerva
HORE)
WRIGHT, and had lived in Mills all his life, except for the years he
was overseas with the Royal Canadian Navy. He had been a resident of
the Lodge for about 2 years. Bill was a very active member of Branch
514 Royal Canadian Legion, participating in many events. He had farmed in Mills as
well as he had been a chef on the Great Lakes ships for many years,
and finished his chef's career at Northernaire Lodge. Bill was an
avid outdoorsman, and loved to hunt, fish, trap, camping with his
grandchildren and attending their ball games.
Predeceased by his wife Gwenyth. Loved father of Carol and husband
Bob SANDERS of Sault Ste. Marie, Ed and wife
Brenda and Mike and wife
Debbie of Mills, Lorrie
WRIGHT of Tennessee and Sheri and husband
Jimmy GOSNELL, also of Tennessee. Predeceased by daughter Nancy
JERMYN in 1974. Proud grandfather of 10 grandchildren and 7 great
grandchildren. Dear brother of Ed and Dorothy

The funeral service was conducted in the Wm. G. Turner Chapel of the Culgin
Funeral Home on Wednesday, November 6, 2002 with Mr. Erwin Thompson officiating.
