Elizabeth HUNTER SMYTH
In loving memory of Elizabeth HUNTER SMYTH, October 14, 1924 to June 15, 2002.
Elizabeth "Betty" SMYTH, a resident of Manitoulin Lodge, Gore Bay, died at the Lodge on Saturday, June 15, 2002 at the age of 77. She was born in Scotland, daughter of the late Andrew and Mary BLACK.
Betty lived in Gore Bay and was employed as clerk at the CO-OP store for many years. She was a member of the Lyons Memorial United Church, the Friendship Club and a 50-year member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 514 Gore Bay. She also enjoyed gardening, reading, baking and camping.
Dear and loving wife of the late Charles Henry SMYTH. Dear mother of Heather LEIGH and husband Paul of Orangeville. Proud grandmother of Steven SZABO and his wife Jennifer and Deborah SZABO and her fiancé Justin FOREMAN. Dear great grandmother of Joshua, Connor and Emma. Dear sister of Margaret REID and Andrew BLACK both of Scotland and predeceased by two sisters May and Isobel. Also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Friends called at the Culgin Funeral Home on Tuesday, June 18, 2002 from 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be conducted from the Culgin Funeral Home on Wednesday June 19, 2002 at 11 a.m. Interment to follow in Silver Water Cemetery.

Passed away peacefully, in her sleep, on Saturday, May 18, 2002. Survived by her loving husband Len of Madoc, children Diane DONLON of Madoc, Douglas DUCKWORTH and wife Marina, Deborah PAPPAS and husband Frank, and David DUCKWORTH, all of Toronto, three loving grand_sons Matthew, Mark, and William, all of Toronto, sister Ida FOREMAN, niece Judy CALDWELL and husband Dr. Tom CALDWELL and their children Chelsea and Josh, all of Vancouver, brother and sister-in-law Douglas and Rita DUCKWORTH and their children Michael and Lisa, all of Toronto, and in-laws Vera BYTAUTAS and William and Georgina PAPPAS, all of Toronto. Predeceased by her parents John and Ida BAXTER, and son-in-law Sergeant Ron DONLON, M.T.P. Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Helen's Life will be held on Thursday, May 23 at 4 p.m. at The Simple Alternative, 275 Lesmill Rd., North York. In lieu of flowers, donations to Providence Centre (Birch House). A special thank-you to nurses and staff at Providence Centre, especially Josie, Kate and Jeannie, for their Friendship to Helen, Len and family.

Ellen ALBERT (née LOVELACE)
Ellen ALBERT (née LOVELACE) of North Bay passed away peacefully at her residence on June 30, 2002 at the age of 53 years.
Daughter of the late Elmer LOVELACE (1970.) Cherished by her mother and step-father Christine and Marcel FORTIN of North Bay. Beloved mother of Stephen (wife Sandra) BAILEY of North Bay, Jennie ALBERT of North Bay and Ian ALBERT (friend Laura) of North Bay. Ellen will also be missed by her three grandchildren Curtis, Brandon and Ezekiel all of North Bay.
Dear sister of Norman (wife Laurie) LOVELACE of Little Current, Lloyd (wife Cathy) LOVELACE of Fort Frances and Vicki (husband Wayne) COLLINS of Marathon. She will be sadly missed by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held at the Faith Chapel Pentecostal Church in North Bay on Friday, July 5, 2002 from 12: 30 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. Funeral Service to take place at the Faith Chapel Pentecostal Church in North Bay at 2: 00 p.m. on Friday, July 5, 2002. Interment at the Forest Lawn Cemetery, North Bay.
