BELL, Ellenor Elizabeth (née MacDONALD) -- Peacefully, at Belmont House, Toronto, on December 29, 2002, in her 88th year. Devoted wife of the late James Donald BELL. Beloved mother of Barbara (Bob) FALBY, Linda BELL and Donald (Diane) BELL. Dear grandmother of Alison, Caroline (Sean) MELIA, Patrick FALBY and Brendan JONES. Sister of Howard MacDONALD of Peterborough and the late John T. MacDONALD. The family wishes to thank the wonderful caregivers at the Belmont House for their infinite patience, kindness and devoted care. Memorial Service at the Chapel of St. James-the-Less, 635 Parliament Street, (at Wellesley) at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, December 31, 2002. FREY, Helen Frances -- Peacefully at Tillsonburg District Memorial Hospital on Wednesday, November 13, 2002. Helen Frances FREY of Saint Thomas, formerly of Toronto and Saskatoon in her 98th year. Beloved wife of the late Raymond Philip FREY (1990.) Dear mother of Donald FREY of Toronto, Dr. Gordon FREY and wife Marie of Faro, Yukon and Ann FOSTER of Tillsonburg. Fondly remembered by grandchildren Jon and Suzanne FREY, Karen FREY and Colin NIELSON, Janice KNOWLTON, Cheryl GAUVIN, Robin and Rick SCHOCK, Peter and Cathy FREY, Graham and Olwyn FREY, Susan and Jamie CLUETT and Cathy and Ken FOX. Also survived by 16 great-grandchildren and brother Alan CAMERON of North Bay. Predeceased by her parents Mabel (FALCONER) and Aldis CAMERON, brothers Harvey and Donald CAMERON, daughter-in-law Christine BALDWIN- FREY (1995) and son-in-law Corson (Cork) FOSTER (1991.) A family service will be held at Ostrander's Funeral Home Chapel, 43 Bidwell Street, Tillsonburg on Saturday, November 16, 2002 at 4: 00 p.m. with Reverend Gary Shuttleworth officiating. Interment at a later date. Memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Saint Thomas Elgin Hospital.

Dear father of Bruce (Sue), Greg (Karen) and Brent. Dear grandfather of Kylie, Alesha, Jacob, Dylan, J.R., Colby; Joshua, Makayla and Ryan. Dear brother of Donald (Shirley) FALLIS, Shirley (Gerry) SLINGERLAND. Dear brother-in-law of David (Elizabeth) BEADLE and John (June) BEADLE. Special friend of John BROSENS. PEAT, Elizabeth (Betty) (née LANG) -- Died suddenly on December 24, 2002, in her 93rd year, after a very brief illness at home. Daughter of the late Col. W.R. LANG and Edith (Daisy) HOLLINGTON, Elizabeth was the wife of the late J.R. MacDonald (Don) PEAT mother of Dr. Marjorie HENDERSON, Nora PEAT and Daniel PEAT sister of the late Dr. Janet ROSS, the late Margaret (Bunty) DONALDSON and Vernon LANG. She is survived by her three children her brother; her sister-in-law, Marjorie KAYE (John;) and her son-in-law the Reverend Harvey HENDERSON; her daughter-in-law, Iraina NEUFELD; six grandchildren, Brill PAPPIN, David Piers PAPPIN, Ben PAPPIN, Donald HENDERSON, Christopher HENDERSON and Emma PEAT; and twelve nieces and nephews and their children. She was a graduate of Havergal College and the University of Toronto (B.A., B.Paed.), where she was active in a Model League of Nations, and in anti-war work with the Youth Council. During her years in Niagara she worked as a secondary school substitute teacher, and as a teaching assistant at Brock University, and was involved with the National Ballet Guild, then with the Pelham Historical Society and the Preservation of Agricultural Lands Society. Elizabeth was active until the end, planting bulbs in her garden last week, and was heard correcting her son's grammar on the evening she died. Her family will miss her love and guidance. Special thanks to Dr. Shari FALLIS, Community Care Access Centre Niagara, and the Red Cross Homemakers who enabled her to maintain her independence. Visitation, following cremation, at the Pedlar Funeral Home, Fonthill, 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday. Funeral at 11: 00 a.m. on Monday, December 30th at Holy Trinity Anglican Church, Fonthill. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Amnesty International.

Loved mother of Sheryl BALSHIN and her husband Murray, and Doug FALLON and his wife Claudine. Cherished Gramma to Derek, Alex, Fallon, Riley and Reese. Youngest sister of Gloria, Dorothy, Jack and his wife Marlene. Cremation has taken place and there will be no service held.
