Vida Helena McGOVERN
In loving memory of Vida Helena McGOVERN who passed away on Wednesday, March 27, 2002 at Manitoulin Health Centre at the age of 72 years.
Her children brought her joy: Bonnie (predeceased), Heather (husband Andrew EADIE predeceased) of Little Current, Judy PYNTER of Welland, Lee (husband Jack ASHLEY) of Little Current, and Meeka (husband Andrew WHITE/WHYTE) of Uxbridge.
To her delight ten grandchildren: Allan (predeceased), Scott, Bonnie, Susan, Lloyd, Laurie, Jennifer, Stephen, April and Amy. Proud great grandmother of Stacy, Allan, April, Lindsay and Benjamin. Vida was one of nine children born to Frank and Henrietta McGOVERN: Leota McIVOR, Blossom ALMES, Mary Ann CHILDERHOSE, Max McGOVERN. Predeceased by Grant, Morris, Delbert and Helen. At Vida's request there will be no services. Cremation. Arrangements in care of Island Funeral Home.

Eugene FRANCIS
In loving memory of Eugene FRANCIS, April 26, 1941-April 11, 2002.
It is with great sadness we wish to announce the passing of our beloved brother of Linden North Carolina at Cape Fear Valley Medical Centre in Fayetteville, North Carolina. Gene fought a courageous, life long battle with kidney disease. Gene was the son of Alfred KAGESHEONGAI and Edith NEGANIGIJIG (predeceased.) Beloved brother of Anne, Leonard, Victor and Julius all predeceased. Also predeceased by his wife of 35 years, Ola Mae in 1999.
By loving daughter Colleen GAINEY (husband Mark) of Linden, N.C., two wonderful granddaughters, Amanda and Farrah. Also survived by brother Raymond of Lansing, Michigan, sisters Clara WAINDUBENCE of Sheguiandah, Leona JOHNSTON of Tillsonburg, Evelyn OSKOBOOSE (husband Gilbert) of Cutler, Norma KAGESHEONGAI of Toronto, Yvonne EADIE (husband Lawrence) of Espanola. Gene will be remembered in this area by many for his great game of hockey. Will be sadly missed by many nieces and nephews. Good Journey Brother!

Marie, Sandra of Little Current, Randy and Alicia of St. Catharines, Douglas and Cecile of North Bay. Will be missed by nephews and nieces: Gordon, Beth, Jeff, Jill, Laurie, John, Paula, Mark, Paul, Cyle, Tammy, Rebecca, Daniel, Clinton, Michelle, Brad, Dustin, Lance, Trisha, Josh and Jake. Favourite great uncle of Mariah, Samantha, Deanna, Cameron, Trenton, Jacob, Caleb and Zachary. Remembered by aunts and uncles: Dora DESMARAIS of Thunder Bay, Jim EADIE of Little Current, Vera EADIE of Toronto, Joan PAWLOU of Saskatchewan, Ed RITCHIE, Mary ALBERT, Julie EADIE all of BC. Predeceased by Albert and William EADIE, Laura STEPHENS, Annie EADIE and Rose TRAILENBURG. Funeral service was held on Saturday, September 21, 2002 at Island Funeral Home. Officiated by Pastor John VANKESTEREN. Burial in Mountainview Cemetery. Donations to Manitoulin Health Centre would be appreciated by the family.

In loving memory of Randolph Peter EADIE " Randy" who passed away peacefully at Sudbury General Hospital on Tuesday, October 15, 2002 at the age of 40 years.
Cherished husband of Kim. Loved father of Robert, Adam, Shane and Matthew. Dear son of Albert and Verna EADIE. Will be greatly missed by brothers and sisters Wayne and Judy, Linda and Keith BURNETT, Alberta and Grant BURNETT, Earl, Garry and friend Cindy, Bill and Sybil, Ken, Charlie and Rose, Kathy and Ron Spry, Eric and friend Anne, Sherry and friend Fred CRAWFORD, Shelly and friend Mike WINN.
Predeceased by Andy and John. Will be forever remembered by many nieces and nephews. Visitation was on Friday October 18, 2002 at Island Funeral Home. Funeral Service was held on Saturday, October 19, 2002 at Holy Trinity Anglican Church, Little Current. Followed by Cremation.

COOKE, Christine Marion -- Peacefully at Renfrew Victoria Hospital after a brief illness, on Wednesday, November 13, 2002, Christine EADY, in her 78th year. Daughter of the late Tinswood EADY and Minnie May CAMPBELL. Beloved wife of the late Alfred COOKE. Dear mother of Sandra POUPORE (Tom) of Port Perry, and Bob and Jane CAMPBELL of Mississauga. Dear sister of Bill EADY (Edith) of Renfrew. Predeceased by one sister and brother. Cherished grandmother of Hilary, Harrison, and Hayley. Sadly missed by sisters-in-law Jean COOKE, Rosemary COOKE and Jackie MEYERS, as well as several nieces and nephews. Resting at the McPhail and Perkins Funeral Home, 85 Munro Ave. at Lorne, Renfrew, on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m., and Saturday from 12 noon-1: 45 p.m. where the funeral will be conducted in the chapel Saturday at 2 p.m. Reverend Dr. George HERMANSON presiding. Interment Horton Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Arthritis Society, Breast Cancer Foundation, or the Easter Seals would be gratefully acknowledged.
