In loving memory of Elva Lauretta McGillis, June 16, 1914 to December 6, 2002.
Lauretta McGILLIS, a resident of the Wikwemikong Nursing Home, died
at the Manitoulin Health Centre, Little Current, on Friday December
6, 2002 at the age of 88 years. She was born in Tehkummah Twp.,
daughter of the late George and Laura
(BAXTER)
VINEY.
She was a
member of the United Church, loved growing flowers, especially her
pansies and glads, and enjoyed knitting and sewing, having made many
quilts. Lauretta was a hard working farm wife and mother, and will
be fondly remembered for her pride, love and enjoyment of her
children and grandchildren.

Mr. COLEMAN was a Veteran of World War Two, a member of the Rorab Shrine Club
in North Bay, and a member of the Masonic G.R.N.S. Lodge No. 70 in Nova Scotia
and a long time summer resident at Whitefish Lake in West Bay. The funeral service
was conducted at the Theoret Funeral Home on Wednesday, February 6, 2002 with
Cindy DESILETS officiating.

ESHKAWKOGAN, age 42 years, who
passed away Saturday, September 7, 2002 at Wikwemikong, Manitoulin
Island. Lorne was born in Manitowaning in 1960. He married Linda
JACKSON in Wikwemikong in 1993. Lorne was a self-employed Class "A"
mechanic. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and the outdoors. He
will be remembered for his delightful smile and his great sense of
humour and Friendship. Lorne was an active participant in the Rain
Dance Ceremonies, acting as one of the grandfathers. He will be
greatly missed by his wife, his children and his family and many Friends.
