LEAL, Percy Alfred Allan
passed away on Saturday, June 1, 2002 at the Collingwood General and Marine Hospital in his 65th year. Loving husband of Jo-Anne. Much loved father of Bradley and his wife Lisa, Lynn WILLIAMS and her husband Jeff and Sandra MATEU and her husband Ian. Cherished grandfather of Samantha, Jessica, Cohn, Chase, Caitlyn, Devin and Dylan. Predeceased by his parents Harry and Florence LEAL. Percy will be missed by his brothers Joe, Bob and Harry, his sister Irene CURIE and his sister-in-law Mary Louise DOWNER. Resting at Fawcett Funeral Homes, Collingwood Chapel, visitation was held on Monday, June 3, 2002 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. and a funeral service will be held in the Chapel on Tuesday, June 4, 2002 at 11: 00 a.m. Cremation to follow. in Percy's memory, donations to the Lung Association, the Heart and Stroke Foundation or to Christ Church Batteau would be appreciated by the family. CURLEY, Peter Paul (Peter 'C') -- Proprietor of Peter C Plumbing and Heating serving the Beaches for over 15 years. Peacefully, after a courageous battle with cancer, in his 49th year, with his loving wife and family by his side. Survived by his beloved wife Melissa and son Tommy CURLEY, mother Anna CURLEY and stepfather Robert KEREKES, brother Thomas CURLEY and his wife Diane CURLEY, sister Marie and her husband Richard BOWNESS, aunts Liz HERON and Judi BOND, nieces Anna and Sarah BOWNESS and Chelsea BELL and his beloved dog Gunner. Peter will be dearly remembered by Friends and extended family in Canada, the U.S. and Scotland. of Port Colborne died on Monday, May 6, 2002 in his 63rd year. Born in Nottawasaga Township, Ontario, he has lived in this area since 1962. He worked at E.G. MARSH Engineering Ltd. for 28 years and for the past 2 years had been employed at R.J. GILLESPIE Enterprises Ltd. Bruce was an avid Toronto Maple Leafs fan. Loving husband of Marilyn (née TAILOR/TAYLOR,) dear father of Michael CURRIE and his wife Suzanne, Mark CURRIE and Bruce CURRIE Jr. and his wife Theresa all of Port Colborne loving papa of Christopher, Micheal, Ryan and Tanya brother of Jean BOWIN (Ed) of Collingwood, Alex CURRIE (Elaine) of Stayner, Gord CURRIE (Sue) of Wasaga Beach, Charlotte HOLROYD (Willard) of Wasaga Beach. and Harv CURRIE (Lee) of Collingwood. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Mr. CURRIE was predeceased by his parents Christopher and Janet CURRIE. The CURRIE Family received visitors at the Port Colborne Chapel of the Davidson Funeral Homes 135 Clarence St on Tuesday 7-9, p.m. and Wednesday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service was held in the Chapel on Thursday May 9, 2002 at 11: 00 am. with Reverend Mary WHITE/WHYTE of Bethel United Church Officiating. It is with great sadness that the Kirk family announces Jack's passing at the Joseph Brant Memorial Hospital, Burlington, Ontario on Saturday, December 21, 2002 after a brief illness. Beloved husband and best friend of Judith (née MacDONALD) KIRK. Cherished and supportive father of Mary Lou and Latif BUCKRIDAN (Windsor,) John and Noreen (Thornhill,) Rosemary and Joe BRADY (Mississauga,) Paul and Maggie (Collingwood,) Betty-Anne and Ray GOTTFRIED (Newmarket,) Kathy and Jay CURRIER (Collingwood) and Michael and Janice (Pickering.) Predeceased by his first wife Mary V. (Babe) KIRK. Jack will be sadly missed by his 15 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and his sister Eileen BOLAND. His many nieces and nephews, as well as his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law and cousins will remember him fondly. Jack was past President of the Knights of Columbus, and Director of the Board of the Serra Club of the diocese of both Toronto and Hamilton, and Lieutenant of the Knights of the Holy Sepulchre. Jack also recently received the Diocesan Gold Medal of Honour for his exemplary life in business, family and Christian values. Above all else, he was a devoted family man. Visitation at Smith's Funeral Home, 1167 Guelph Line (one stoplight north of Queen Elizabeth Way) Burlington (905-632-3333) on Monday 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church, 287 Plains Road East, Burlington on Tuesday, December 24, 2002 at 9: 30 a.m. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Burlington. If desired, expressions of sympathy to the Canadian Cancer Society, the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario or the Holy Rosary Parish Fund. The family expresses sincere appreciation to Father Cote and the Pastoral team at Holy Rosary, as well as the doctors and nurses affiliated with the Joseph Brant Memorial Hospital.
