SAINT, Rita Nanette -- 1930-2002. Nanette SAINT (née KINCH) passed away peacefully in her sleep in Calgary, Alberta, on December 16, 2002 at the age of 72 years. Nanette is survived by her children, Roger SAINT, Suzanne SAINT and Jackie EGGIE; grandchildren, Sebastian SAINT, Jessica SAINT, Donnie SAINT, Seth PATRICK, Shilo PATRICK, Talon PATRICK, Jordanne EGGIE and Quinton EGGIE; great-grandchildren, Noah SAINT and Job SAINT; and her sisters and brothers, Monica BIRCH, Diana GOLAN, Winston KINCH and Roger KINCH. Nanette was predeceased by her husband Bruce SAINT and her second son Don SAINT_ Memorial donations may be made to the Father Lacombe Nursing Home in Calgary or the Canadian Stroke Foundation.

BIRCH, Beatrice -- Peacefully at the Providence Centre, Scarborough, on Friday, December 27, 2002, Beatrice (née ARCHIBALD,) beloved wife of the late Reginald. Dear sister of Harriet DOUGLAS/DOUGLASS and Lillian KELLY. Predeceased by Leona JABLONSKI, Joy GILBERTSON, Joan LOWERY/LOWREY/LOWRIE/LOWRY, Marion BAKER and Bus, Jack and Ken ARCHIBALD. Beatrice is also survived by the many members of her extended family. A Service to commemorate Beatrice's life will be held at the Giffen-Mack ''Danforth'' Funeral Home and Cremation Centre, 2570 Danforth Ave. (at Main subway), 416-698-3121, on Thursday, January 2, 2003, at 1 p.m. Family and Friends will be received after 12 noon Thursday. Interment Prospect Cemetery.

HAWKINS, Robert Clarendon -- Peacefully at Kipling Acres, Etobicoke, on Sunday, December 29, 2002, Robert Clarendon HAWKINS, in his 97th year. Predeceased by his wife Jessie and their son Peter. Darling, loved father to Judy and her husband Gordon CRAIG. Cherished father-in-law and grandfather to Lynda HAWKINS and her sons David and Michael. Born and raised in Smiths Falls, educated at Queen's University, a lifetime Mason, Chief Chemist at C.I.L. until 1966, and Ontario Research Foundation until 1971. The family wishes to thank Barwaka NALAYEH, Jane BIRCH and all the 3rd Floor south staff at Kipling Acres for being such wonderful caregivers and always having a smile. With very special thanks to Theodora LEGAIR for her care, love and devotion over the last few years. Cremation. Private memorial service will take place at a later date. In loving memory of Frederick BIRCHALL who passed away peacefully at the St. Joseph's Health Centre on Sunday, May 19, 2002 surrounded by his loving family. Husband of Lillian Joyce {TANNER} BIRCHALL. Loving father of Thomas Gregory BIRCHALL and his wife Kathy Joy (BLACK) of Oakville, James Frederick BIRCHALL and his wife Pauline Jeannine (FOUCAULT) of Scarborough and Cindy BIRCHALL- YARWORSKY and her husband Wilf YAWORSKY of Sudbury. Predeceased by sisters Betty, Eleanor and Lil and brothers Thomas, Albert and Roland. Devoted grandfather of Bryan, Diane, Kevin, Patrick, Emily, Stephanie, and Nicole. Fondly remembered by many Friends, relatives and loved ones.
Frederick BIRCHALL, 77 of Sudbury, born on November 6th, 1924, was the son of the late Thomas and Emily BIRCHALL of Saint Thomas. He is a veteran of World War II serving as a bombardier in a Lancaster in the 427 Lion Squadron. Fred was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, branch 76 for 56 years. He was a retired engineer and worked at INCO for 28 years at Frood, Garson and South mines. Fred has always been active in golf, fishing and walking. He enjoyed playing bridge with Friends and relatives and was a member of the Sudbury Bridge Club. He spent many wonderful summers with family and Friends at the family cottage on Lake Manitou, south of Little Current, Manitoulin Island, and many enjoyable winters in Panama City Beach, Florida.
Resting at the Jackson and Barnard Funeral Home, 233 Larch St. The funeral service will be held at the RJ Barnard Chapel, Wednesday May 22, 2002 at 11: 30 a.m. Cremation to follow at the Parklawn Crematorium. A memorial service was held on Tuesday under the auspices of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 76, Sudbury.

ELLARD, Rose (née BIRD) -- Peacefully at Saint Mary's Hospital on Saturday, December 21, 2002 in her 77th year. Beloved wife of Ron for 54 wonderful years. Loving mother of Norman (Jan), Martin (Linda), Colin (Karen) and Jennifer (Greg) WUISMAN. Will be sadly missed by her grandchildren Barbara, Diane, Melissa, Derek, Sarah, Emily, Jessica, Rebecca, Adam, Laura and Peter. Survived by brothers Stan, George, and Sid. Predeceased by her brothers Bob, Jim and Charlie and her sister Dolly. Family invites relatives and Friends to Schreiter-Sandrock Funeral Home and Chapel, 51 Benton (at Church St.) Kitchener, 519-742-4481 for visitation on Thursday from 2-4 p.m. Cremation to take place. Memorial service will be held at Eventide/A.R. Goudie Nursing Home Chapel, 369 Frederick Street, Kitchener on Friday, December 27, 2002 at 2 p.m. Reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to be made to the Salvation Army Family Services.

Beloved husband of Bertha SEMPLE. Loved father of Elizabeth CHARD of Alliston and Patricia CHARD of Toronto. Loved Grandpa of Michael CHARD, Wanda SINCLAIR, Kerri and Sara WESTLAKE. Predeceased by his sisters Matilda BIRKETT and Elsie CHARD. Resting at the W. John Thomas Funeral Home, 244 Victoria St. E., Alliston on Thursday, January 2, 2003 from 10 a.m. until time of funeral service in the chapel at 11 a.m. Private interment St. George's on the Hill Cemetery, Toronto, Ontario.
