YAGI, Andrew Shuji -- After a brief illness, on Saturday, November 9, 2002 in his 74th year at the Joseph Brant Memorial Hospital in Burlington. Beloved husband of Rose (née BAN.) Father of Kevin and his wife Anne. Devoted Papa to Katharine, Erica, Leanne and Heather. Also survived by his brother Hachiro (Phyllis). Funeral Service will be held in the chapel on Wednesday, November 13, 2002 at 1 p.m. at Smith's Funeral Home, 1167 Guelph Line (one stoplight north of Queen Elizabeth Way), Burlington (905-632-3333). Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. prior to the funeral. Cremation. Reception to follow.

BANKS, John Arthur -- In Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, on December 4, 2002, at the age of 49. Born in Toronto, on December 6, 1952, he was the only son of the late John David and Janet BANKS. John, a millwright most of his life, was a creative, loving person with a quick wit and his wooden teddy bear carvings brought joy to people's lives. He is survived by his wife Barbe McLEAN of Dartmouth, sisters Betty (Ron) PICKFORD of Toronto and Janet (Joe) SMITH of Bermuda, his nephew Chris PICKFORD, Toronto and his good Friends Linda and Leo BARKHOUSE, Musquodoboit, Nova Scotia. John will be sadly missed by his beloved cat, Max. Cremation has taken place under the direction of A.L. Mattatall Funeral home in Dartmouth.

Wilda Mae (CRANSTON) CLARK
In loving memory of Wilda Mae CLARK, June 15, 1920 to June 4, 2002.
Wilda CLARK, a resident of the Manitoulin Lodge, and formerly of Spring Bay and Sudbury died at the Lodge on Tuesday, June 4, 2002 at the age of 81 years. She was born at Mindemoya, and had lived at Spring Bay, where she had been very active in the community. Wilda and her husband Gordon farmed for many years. She was a very dedicated wife, mother and community worker. Wilda helped run the farm, milking cows and all other chores on the farm, as well as keeping house, gardening and most of all, a caring mother to her husband and children. She had a fierce independence, a trait which will be cherished by her family. Wilda was a very active member of the Missionary Church in Spring Bay, the Women's Institute and after moving to Sudbury she dedicated her time to day care and working for the CNIB. One of her favourite pastimes was playing the piano, which she learned to play by ear.
Wilda's husband Gordon predeceased in 1970. Dearly loved mother of Gloria VANPLEW (Gary) of Orillia and Grant CLARK (Leslie BANNER) of Mississauga. Proud grandmother of Christopher CLARK and his wife Andrea and Elizabeth CLARK and fiancé Lisandro LUZZA. Dear sister of Lois COOPER of Mindemoya, Harvey HANER (wife Nola) of Mindemoya and Frank HANER of Spring Bay. Predeceased by brother Grant CRANSTON. Also survived by several nieces and nephews.
The funeral service was conducted in the Wm. G. Turner Chapel of the Culgin Funeral Home, Gore Bay, on Monday, June 17, 2002 at 11 a.m. with Reverend Frank HANER officiating. Friends called at the Funeral home from 10-11 a.m. Interment in Mindemoya Cemetery.

BANNISTER, Winnifred Violet (March 17, 1915 - December 26, 2002) Peacefully at the Eagle Terrace Nursing Home, Newmarket on Thursday, December 26, 2002, Winnifred (BRAMMER) BANNISTER, in her 88th year. Beloved wife of the late Harry BANNISTER. Loving mother of Irene (late Joseph) BROWN, Shirley (Gord) LONG, Sandra (Tom) MASON, Robert (Maggie) BANNISTER, Cathy (Bill) WEBB, and Karen LIVINGSTON. Lovingly remembered by many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Winnie was the last surviving member of the BRAMMER family. Friends may call at Lathangue & Skwarchuk Funeral Home, 30 Simcoe Road, Bradford for visitation on Sunday, December 29, 2002 from noon to time of service in the chapel at 2 p.m. Cremation will follow and then be reunited with her loving husband, Harry (December, 1972) in Saint John's Norway Cemetery.
