ATKINSON, Thelma, Associate , Royal Conservatory of Music of Toronto Peacefully at the Peterborough Regional Health Centre, Hospital Drive site, on Thursday, November 7, 2002 in her 81st year. Beloved daughter of Reverend Levi and Mrs. Viola ATKINSON of Brampton, predeceased, and much loved sister of Vernon ATKINSON and his wife Mary both predeceased. Dear aunt of Doug ATKINSON and his family of New Brunswick, and Cheryl STANTON and her family of Nova Scotia. She will be missed by her many Friends. Following cremation, a celebration of her life will lake place at Northminster United Church, Sunset Blvd., Peterborough at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, November 12, 2002, Reverend Jim Moulton officiating. Inurnment will take place in Brampton at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to the Mission and Service Fund of the United Church of Canada or a charity of choice. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Comstock Funeral Home and Cremation Centre.

Dear mother of Robert and his wife Shirley of Markham, Bruce and his wife Doreen of Bramalea, and Carolyn and her husband William ATKINSON of Peterborough. Loved grandmother of nine and great-grandmother of nine. Dear sister of Muriel HOUSELANDER of Oakville and the late Phyllis RICHES. Funeral Service at 1 p.m. on Friday, November 15, 2002 at R.S. Kane Funeral Home (6150 Yonge Street, at Goulding, south of Steeles). Visitation to be held one hour prior to service. ATKINSON, Betty Ann (née POTTER,) R.N. -- Passed away peacefully at the Markham Stouffville Hospital on Monday, November 18, 2002 at the age of 61, after a prolonged illness. Betty Ann leaves her beloved partner Dick DUECK, dear daughter Natalie ATKINSON, loving mother Margaret POTTER and cherished brother Garry F. POTTER (Annette.) Also mourning her loss are her niece Michelle BYRNE and nephews David and John POTTER. Lovingly remembered by Dick's children Keith DUECK, Dee TOTTEN and her daughter Deidre and Tessa DUECK and her daughter Rebekah. Betty Ann's tireless dedication to her nursing profession will be remembered by all who knew her. The family extends their sincerest appreciation and gratitude to the caring and compassionate health care providers at the Markham Stouffville Hospital Palliative Care Unit 1E. Friends may call at the R.S. Kane Funeral Home (6150 Yonge Street, at Goulding, south of Steeles) on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Mass on Saturday, November 23, 2002 at 11 a.m. at Blessed Trinity Roman Catholic Church (3220 Bayview Ave.). Beloved wife of the late John SLAUGHTER. Loving mother of Lorna POPOFSKI and her husband Jim of Puslinch, Brian SLAUGHTER and his wife Janice of Whitby and the late Betty Ann (1989.) Survived by her son-in-law Bob HILTON. Loved Nanny of Doug, Bruce, Karen, Chris, Michele, Mike and Jonathan. Friends called at the Gilchrist Chapel - McIntyre and Wilkie Funeral Home, One Delhi Street, Guelph (from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday). Beloved wife of the late Frederick J. ATKINSON (1979.) Loved mother of Vera and Norm WILDE of Grand Bend, Doris MORTIMER of Las Vegas and Fred ATKINSON of Suffolk, England. Loving grandma of Barbara and Bill WALLER, Ken WILDE, Kelly, Brandi and Jason ATKINSON; great-grandma of Shannon WALLER, Bradley and Amy WALLER, Meagan and Jarrett WILDE, and Jaden ATKINSON. Loved by her many nieces, nephews and their families. Predeceased by brothers Ernest, Reginald and Adolph Morin, sister Florence LEMAY and son-in-law Len Mortimer. Resting at the T.
