Joseph Ignatius Jacko, a resident of Wikwemikong Nursing Home, died
at the Manitoulin Health Centre on Wednesday April 3, 2002 at the age
of 78 years. He was born at Wikwemikong,
son of the late Louis and
Therese
{ROY}
JACKO and had been a bachelor all his life. Ignatius
(Ko-Ko-Lee) enjoyed the outdoors and was often seasonally employed.
He also enjoyed watching wrestling, cooking, bingo scratch tickets,
music and used to play guitar.
Dearly loved uncle of Mary M.
(GUTIERREZ), Armand, Eli Jacko, Brenda
(FOX), Doreen
(COMEUA), Ivey
(ARMSTRONG), Richard, Robert, Jean and
Theodore FLAMAND.
Also survived by many grand-nieces, grand nephews
and special Friends and relatives. Predeceased by sisters Mina
{JACKO}

JACKO}
FLAMAND.
Friends called the St. Ignatius Church on Thursday, April 4. Funeral
Mass was celebrated on Saturday, April 6 at the Holy Cross Mission
Church with Robert

Vincent ABEL
In loving memory of Vincent
ABEL,
February 16, 1919 to December 17, 2002.
Vincent ABEL, a resident of the Wikwemikong Nursing Home, and formerly of
M'Chigeeng, passed away at the Wikwemikong Nursing Home on Tuesday, December
17, 2002 at the age of 83 years.
He was the son of the late Marion and Jonas
SHAWANGONABE.
Vincent was a very good and well
known violin player, playing all around the area for many years, and was a veteran of World War 2.
Predeceased by his wife Annabelle
(SOUTHWIND) Abel. Loved father of Peter (Mary Ann) of Toronto,
Alice (predeceased,) Viola
ANTOINE
(Alphonse predeceased) of Vancouver, Doris (predeceased,)
Josephine of Regina, Leonard (Cecile) of Toronto, Boniface (predeceased), James of Ottawa,
Ida of Windsor, Lawrence (Joanne) of Wikwemikong, Charles (predeceased), Sam (predeceased)
and an infant daughter also predeceased. Also survived by several grandchildren, great grandchildren
and great great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by
brothers Frank, Angus, Jonas, Johnny and other brothers and sisters.
Friends called the M'Chigeeng Complex on Thursday and Friday December 18 and 19.
The funeral mass was celebrated at Immaculate Conception Church, M'Chigeeng on
Saturday
December 21, 2002 with Father Robert
