Phyllis Margaret McCULLOUGH
In loving memory of Phyllis Margaret McCULLOUGH February 16, 1923 to November 14, 2002.
Phyllis McCULLOUGH, a resident of the Wikwemikong Nursing Home and formerly of Little Current, died at the Nursing Home on Thursday, November 14, 2002 at the age of 79 years.
She was born in Prince Edward County, daughter of the late Vincent EVERETT and Cecelia (LEAVITT) HICKS. Phyllis had lived in Little Current from 1994, until going to the Nursing Home about 2 years ago. Previous to that, she had lived in Lively for about 18 years, and North Bay before that. She loved flowers and country and western music. Phyllis was a loving and hard working mother and will be sadly missed by her family, but many memories will be cherished. Dearly loved mother of Sharon and husband Doug ALKENBRACK of Kagawong. Predeceased by brothers and sisters Thelma McFADDEN,Ruth Carter, Clarence HICKS, Eva HICKS, Percy HICKS and Clare HICKS.
Friends called the Culgin Funeral Home, Gore Bay on Tuesday, November 19, 2002. A "Celebration of Mothers" was celebrated in the Wm. G. Turner Chapel at 8: 00 p.m. Cremation took place with interment of ashes in the Lively Cemetery.

HALL, John Alexander - at York Central Hospital, Richmond Hill, on Wednesday December 25th, 2002 at the age of 88 years. John HALL of King Township, beloved husband of Pauline and dear father of Susan PRIEUR of England, Jill and her husband John M. SKINNER of Stratford, Rebecca HALL of Toronto and Jennifer and her husband Peter ALKER of England. Proud grandfather of Marc, Danielle, Jennifer, James, Allison, David and Lorraine. Great-grandfather of Luc, Kristin, Bronwyn, Meredith and Carys. Brother of Robert of Toronto and the late Philip. John will be sadly missed by Ann and Ezra SCHABAS and their family and Lorraine FAIRLEY and her family. John was loved and admired as a teacher of Art, both at the University of Toronto School of Architecture and many Ontario summer schools. He was a life member of the Ontario Society of Artists, Art Gallery of Ontario, and honourary member of Ontario Society of Architects. He illustrated many books, created murals in enamel on steel for several public buildings and designed exhibitions for both commercial and museum venues. A memorial service will be held at the Roadhouse and Rose Funeral Home, 157 Main St. South, Newmarket on Saturday January 4th, 2003 at 11 a.m. As a person who contracted Parkinson's Disease in his later years, we request in lieu of flowers a contribution to the Parkinson's Foundation, 316-4211 Yonge St. P.O.
