Alma Beryl NOBLE
In loving memory of Alma NOBLE, a resident of Gore Bay and formerly of Elliot Lake and Silver Water, died at the Manitoulin Lodge on Saturday, July 21, 2001 at the age of 85 years.
He was born in Robinson Township, June 17, 1916, son of the late Harry and Bertha {STEELE} NOBLE. Alma had served overseas in the armed forces for four years, with the 'Happy Walkers.' He had worked in fisheries, steel plant and worked in the bush lumbering. He had a variety of interests, including gardening, crafts, carpentry, wood lathe and hunting and fishing. Alma's greatest love was his family, and spending time with them. His love and love of life will be sadly missed but many memories will be cherished. Dear loved husband of Dorine {FOWLER} NOBLE, loving father of Lorraine ROBINSON of Vancouver and son-in-law Chris ROBINSON of Gore Bay, Florence and her husband David FOLZ of Elliot Lake and Lloyd NOBLE and his wife Debbie of Prince George, BC. Loved grandfather of Jennifer, Tyler, Doryell, Wyatt, Nicholas, Angela and Steven, and great-grandchildren Jordan, Jolisa, Kayla, Emily and Noah. Dear brother of Ruby WHITELY of Los Angeles. Predeceased by brothers Golden, Garnet and Jasper and sisters Opal and Madeline. Friends called at the Culgin Funeral Home. The funeral service was held in the Wm. G. Turner Chapel on July 25, 2001 with Pastor Lyle Dewar officiating. Interment in Silver Lake Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to the Culgin Funeral Home 705-282-2270.

Ursula Irmgard SCHNIEDER/SNIDER/SNYDER
In loving memory of Ursula Irmgard SCHNIEDER/SNIDER/SNYDER, February 10 1925 - January 10 2001.
Ursula SCHNIEDER/SNIDER/SNYDER {SCHOLZ} , a resident of Kagawong, died at her residence on Wednesday, January 10 2001 at the age of 75 years. She was born in East Germany, and immigrated to the United States in 1960. She then met Raymond SCHNIEDER/SNIDER/SNYDER, and on December 26 1962, they were married. In 1984, after their house was built, she moved from Illinois to Kagawong. She loved to read, and had a wide range of knowledge of other countries and history. Her favourite pastime was gardening, and as was described, she had '10 green thumbs'.
Ursula was the dearly loved wife of Raymond SCHNIEDER/SNIDER/SNYDER of Kagawong. Dear sister of Margot STEPA of Cleveland, Ohio. She is also survived by Friends she and Raymond have made since moving to Kagawong. The funeral service was conducted in the William G. Turner Chapel at 11: 00 am. with Mr. Paul Cooper officiating. Spring interment in Kagawong Cedars Cemetery.

The family of Ella STEVENS announces with sadness the death of a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother on Friday, April 27, 2001 at the age of 81 years. Cherished wife of 61 years to Stanley STEVENS of Richards Landing, Ontario. Mother of Kenneth STEVENS (Wilma) of Richards Landing, Shelba MULLINS (Lynn) of Sault Ste. Marie, Sandra STEVENS of Huntsville and Penny Kucyk (Zeno) of Sault Ste. Marie. Beloved grandmother of Garry STEVENS (Edith), Kelly STEVENS, Steve MULLINS (Lise), Joseph
MULLINS (Michelle), Sari MacNEILL (Allan), Don APPLEYARD, Terry-Jo APPLEYARD, Debbie APPLEYARD and Jeannie STREETS (Trevor). Great grandmother of Ashley, James and Jeanna STEVENS, Emily CORMIER, Nicholas and Julie MULLINS, Dustin MacNEILL, Johnathon and Julissa APPLEYARD, Rosie MALFARA and Mia and Haley STREETS. Daughter of the late Arthur and Pearl ROWE of Manitoulin Island. Predeceased by her sister Audrey GALLEY and brother
Russel ROWE.
Funeral service was held on Wednesday, May 2, 2001 in the Richards Landing Legion Hall at 2 p.m. with Reverend Catherine BROMELL officiating. Interment Richards Landing Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Barton and Kiteley Funeral Home, Sault Ste. Marie.
