OMINIKA, a former resident of Wikwemikong, died at his
residence in Sudbury June 24, 2001, at the age of 57 years. He was born in
Wikwemikong son of the late Julia
SPANISH.
Shoota enjoyed playing hockey and
was a member of the Wiky T-Birds hockey team for a number of years. His
favourite pastime was shooting pool. Shoota worked in construction for many
years.
Loving father of Patrick and friend Wanda, Tim and friend Karen. Dear
grandfather of Rheal, Bryanna and Fabian. Also survived by his former wife
Barbara PITAWANAKWAT of Wikwemikong. Survived by sisters Vera, Rita (husband
Eric), Ursula, Lorraine and Gloria and friend Jeff and brothers John
(Mallin), Gordon, Chris and wife Betty, Godfrey, Terry, Reggie and Kevin.
Predeceased by one sister, Dorothy and a brother, Agillius. Many nieces and
nephews and special niece Monyan will sadly miss Shoota.
Funeral mass was held from Holy Cross Church in Wikwemikong on Saturday,
June 30, 2001. Interment in Upper Wikwemikong Cemetery.

Assiginack Township, who died at the Sudbury Regional - St. Joseph's Site on
Sunday May 20, 2001, at the age of 70 years.
She was born in Assiginack Township, daughter of the late Harvey and Lucy
{COE}
SAGLE.
Maizie worked as a camp cook for over 30 years. She enjoyed a
good game of cards, hunting and being outdoors. Her greatest joy was her
family and Friends.
