Catherine Mary Elizabeth BROWN
In loving memory of Catherine Mary Elizabeth BROWN, August 7 1915-May 1 2001.
Catherine BROWN, a resident of the Manitoulin Lodge, died at the St. Joseph's Health Centre, Sudbury, on Tuesday, May 1, 2001 at the age of 85 years. She was born at Ice Lake, daughter of the late Alfred and Catherine {KERR} BRANDOW. Catherine had been a school bus driver for many years. She was a member of the Ice Lake Church of Christ and the Ice Lake Women's Institute and enjoyed knitting. Catherine was a kind and loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She will be sadly missed, but many memories will be shared with much love.
Catherine as predeceased by her first husband Alexander McDOUGALL in 1960. She later married Clarence BROWN who predeceased in 1998. Dearly loved mother of Eileen and husband Bill SLOAN of Gore Bay, Alfred McDOUGALL and his wife Dorothy of Naughton, Sandy McDOUGALL and his wife Elsie and Dennis McDOUGALL and his wife Dale all of Ice Lake, and Steve McDOUGALL and his wife Laurie of Espanola. Proud grandmother of Sherry, Pam, Tim, David, Chrisanne, Julia, Joanne, Jill, Charlie, Chad, Derick and Amanda and great grandchildren Matthew, Tyler, Christine, Amanda, Michael, Cory, Spencer, Logan, David, Miranda, Zachary, Morgan and Liam. Predeceased by a sister Laura.
The funeral service was conducted in the Wm. G. Turner Chapel with Pastor Les CRAMP officiating on Saturday, May 5, 2001. Interment in Gordon Cemetery. If so desired, donations to the Strawberry Point Christian Camp or the Manitoulin Lodge Volunteers would be appreciated.

Janet Ann GLASBY
In loving memory of Janet Ann GLASBY, who passed away on September 23, 2001 at the age of 44 years.
Janet was born in Mindemoya, Ontario. Beloved daughter of Alvin GLASBY of Manitoulin Lodge, Gore Bay. Sister of Dorothy of Little Current, Ed (wife Diane) of Tehkummah, and Lorraine (husband Roger PYETTE) of Manitowaning. Also survived by nieces Dianne, Carolyn, Tracy and Vickie. Predeceased by mother Elaine {SLOAN} . Also remembered by her good Friends Ruth MOODIE, Maureen CLAYTON, David MERCIER and the GLENN family of Markerville, Alberta. She lived and worked in the construction industry in Alberta for the past 22 years. Most recently she was employed as a contract administrator at the Athabasca Oil Sands Downstream Project in Fort Saskatchewan. She gained strength from her many Friends and work family in Alberta. Janet enjoyed life, especially she loved her work. She also found pleasure in golfing, fly-fishing, gardening and travelling. She had a special place in her heart for the village and people of Placencia in Belize. A memorials service was held on September 27 in Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta. A memorial service will also be held at Mindemoya United Church on October 13, 2001 at 3: 00 p.m. and in Belize at a later date.

Alvin WOOD
In loving memory of Alvin WOOD on Sunday, August 5, 2001 at Manitoulin Health Centre at the age of 83 years.
Beloved husband of Stella. Predeceased by wife Aleta (January, 1988). Dear father of Jack (wife Betty,) Marion (husband Gary MORRISON,) Ron (wife Judy,) Laurence (wife Kathy,) Myrna (husband Terry AELICK,) Ivan, and Bruce (wife Pat). Will be missed by 24 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren. Also loved by stepchildren Doreen (husband Harold ROWE,) MAC STRINGER (friend Donna,) seven step grandchildren and 11 step-great-grandchildren. Remembered by brothers Larne and Marie, sisters Edith BAYER and friend Royce VANZANT, Vera SHERING, Bernie and Verdon SLOSS, Marie and Cliff TANN, Myrtle WOOD and sisters-in-law Doreen and Irene WOOD. Predeceased by parents Leslie and Sarah, brothers and sisters Florence, Stella, Elmer, Leonard, Norman and Charlie.
Visitation at the Island Funeral Home. Funeral service was held on Tuesday, August 7, 2001 at Little Current United Church. Burial in Green Bay Cemetery. Arrangements in care of Island Funeral Home.

Reginald "Keith" PATTERSON
In loving memory of Reginald "Keith" PATTERSON, suddenly on Monday, November 26, 2001, age 81 years. Predeceased by his beloved wife Molly. Loving father of Sharon and husband Jack FERGUSON of Green Bay. Dear grandfather of Hugh and wife Heidi of Palgrave, Megan and husband Blaine TESSIER of Val Therese. Great grandfather of Courtney and Connor FERGUSON, Randy, Myles and Rene TESSIER. Predeceased by only sister June SLOSS.
Funeral service was held on Friday, November 30, 2001 at St. Bernard's Catholic Church in Little Current with Father Foliot officiating. Burial: St. Bernard's Cemetery. Arrangements in care of Island Funeral Home, Little Current.
