Catherine BROWN, a resident of the Manitoulin Lodge, died at the St. Joseph's
Health Centre, Sudbury, on Tuesday, May 1, 2001 at the age of 85 years.
She was born at Ice Lake, daughter of the late Alfred and Catherine
{KERR}
BRANDOW.
Catherine had been a school bus driver for many years. She was a
member of the Ice Lake Church of Christ and the Ice Lake Women's Institute
and enjoyed knitting. Catherine was a kind and loving mother, grandmother
and great grandmother. She will be sadly missed, but many memories will be
shared with much love.
Catherine as predeceased by her first husband Alexander
McDOUGALL in 1960.
She later married Clarence
BROWN who predeceased in 1998. Dearly loved
mother of Eileen and husband Bill
SLOAN of Gore Bay, Alfred
McDOUGALL and
his wife Dorothy of Naughton, Sandy
McDOUGALL and his wife Elsie and Dennis
McDOUGALL and his wife
Dale all of Ice Lake, and Steve

wife Laurie of Espanola. Proud grandmother of Sherry, Pam, Tim, David,
Chrisanne, Julia, Joanne, Jill, Charlie, Chad, Derick and Amanda and great
grandchildren Matthew, Tyler, Christine, Amanda, Michael, Cory, Spencer,
Logan, David, Miranda, Zachary, Morgan and Liam. Predeceased by a sister
Laura.
The funeral service was conducted in the Wm. G. Turner Chapel with Pastor
Les CRAMP officiating on Saturday, May 5, 2001. Interment in Gordon Cemetery.
If so desired, donations to the Strawberry Point Christian Camp or the
Manitoulin Lodge Volunteers would be appreciated.

Janet was born in Mindemoya, Ontario. Beloved daughter of Alvin

of Tehkummah, and Lorraine (husband Roger
PYETTE) of Manitowaning.
Also survived by nieces Dianne, Carolyn, Tracy and Vickie.

GLENN family of Markerville, Alberta.
She lived and worked in the construction industry in Alberta for the past 22 years.
Most recently she was employed as a contract administrator at the Athabasca
Oil Sands Downstream Project in Fort Saskatchewan. She gained strength from her
many Friends and work family in Alberta.
Janet enjoyed life, especially she loved her work. She also found pleasure in
golfing, fly-fishing, gardening and travelling. She had a special place in her
heart for the village and people of Placencia in Belize.
A memorials service was held on September 27 in Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta.
A memorial service will also be held at Mindemoya United
Church on October 13, 2001 at 3: 00 p.m. and
in Belize at a later date.
