In Loving Memory of Louis Joseph LAVALLEE September 16, 1942 - March 25, 2001
Joe LAVALLEE, a resident of South Bay, died at his residence on Sunday March 25, 2001. He was born in South Bay, son of the late David LAVALLEE and the late Julia OSABABINE of Wikwemikong. He was employed as a logger and carpenter, Joe enjoyed bingo and quilting blankets. He also was involved with the community on the Education and Housing committees and very active in the Catholic Church.
Dearly loved husband of Rozina {MISHIBINIJIMA} LAVALLEE of South Bay. Dear father of Rodney, Roger and Samantha all of Wikwemikong, Lissa of Sudbury and step son Timmy of Sudbury. Dear brother of Mary LAVALLEE (predeceased,) Sylvester OSABABINE, Vincent and Thaddeus (Bonnie) LAVALLEE, Thomas (wife Elizabeth) WEMIGWANS, Wilfred (wife Evelyn,) Veronica (husband Wendy,) Rose BUPREAU (husband Ron,) Henry (wife Corrine) WEMIGWANS. Dear son-in-law of Phillip ROY, Eugene SIMON (predeceased), Howard SIMON, Francis (Laurie) SIMON (predeceased) , Malcolm SIMON, Archie FRANCIS, Terry BENNETT, Mary and Dianne SIMON, Valarie (David) LAVALLEE. Also survived by three grandchildren, Darren, Andrew, Joshua and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by grand_son Ace Louis.
Relatives and Friends called at South Bay Community Centre on Monday. The
funeral mass was celebrated at Our Lady of Grace Church, South Bay at 11: 00
a.m. with Fr. Doug McCarthy as celebrant. Interment in South Bay Cemetery.

In loving memory of Francis H. COOK, 84 years, Tuesday morning, April 10, 2001 at the Extendicare-York, Sudbury.
Beloved husband of Annie {KULEBA} COOK, predeceased 1956. Father of Shirley LANG (husband Jim) of Sudbury, Robert COOK (wife Darlene) and William COOK (wife Evelyn) both of Walden. Cherished grandfather of Faydra (husband Mark AUBUT), Kimberly (husband Quirino BATTISTI), John COOK (wife Lilly), Terry (husband Trevor DOWDALL,) and Bobbie-Jo (husband Kai LUMME) great grandchildren Ryan, Joel, James and Peter. Dear son of William and Annie COOK, predeceased. Dear brother of Annie KEYES, predeceased, Violet BURNS of London, Lena ROTTEAU of Goderich, Reta BUGG of Oshawa, and Linda ROY of North Bay. Sadly missed by many nieces and nephews and his loving pets. Funeral service was held at the Lougheed funeral home Friday, April 13. Cremation at the Parklawn Crematorium. GABRIEL MISHIBINIJIMA
In loving memory Gabriel MISHIBINIJIMA, December 18, 1919-May 7, 2001.
Gabriel MISHIBINIJIMA, a resident of South Bay, died at the Manitoulin Health Centre, Little Current on Monday, May 7, 2001 at the age of 81 years.
He was born in Murray Hill, Wikwemikong, son of the late François MISHIBINIJIMA and Rosalie WEMIGWANS of Wikwemikong. He worked as a logger and enjoyed bingo, horseshoes, was an excellent checker player, and hunter.
His favourite pastime was watching Saturday night National Hockey League as well as spending time with his family reminiscing the past.
Dearly loved husband of Matilda Agnes {ATCHITAWENS- ROY} , predeceased. Loving father of Rozina LAVALLEE (husband Joseph, predeceased,) Mary SIMON (Keith,) Dianne SIMON (Robert), Valerie LAVALLEE (David), Phil ROY, Eugene SIMON (predeceased), Howard SIMON (Sally), Frances SIMON (predeceased) wife Laurie, and Malcolm SIMON. Proud and caring grandfather of 17 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Predeceased by 1 grandchild and 1 great grandchild. Predeceased by all of his brothers and sisters, William, Angelica, Lucy Ann, Isabella, Norman, Agatha, Ignatius, Basil, Marie and Sophia. Also survived by many nieces and nephews and sadly missed by his Friends and extended family.
The funeral mass was celebrated at Our Lady of Grace Church, South Bay on Friday, May 11, 2001 with Father Doug McCARTHY as celebrant. Interment in South Bay Cemetery.

Kelly Shawn ROY In Loving Memory of Kelly Shawn ROY, February 1, 1971 - June 2, 2001
Shawn ROY, a resident of Ottawa, passed away at Montreal P.Q. at the age of 30 years. He was born in Sudbury, and for the 12 years had been employed as a computer analyst, working for the Department of National Defence. Shawn had many interests and hobbies, including roller blading, bicycling, travelling and computers. Shawn was an extremely talented computer analyst, and took great pride in his abilities. He was a loving son and brother. Shawn was loved very much by his family and Friends, and his presence will be sadly missed. Dearly loved son of Pius and Evelyn (TRUDEAU) ROY of M'Chigeeng, dear and loving brother of Linda Lewis (Billy) of Sault Ste. Marie, Wayne Roy (Kayla) of Sudbury, Roger ROY of M'Chigeeng, Randy ROY (Tracy) of Toronto and Caroline TRUDEAU of Sudbury. Predeceased by brother Allan. Also survived by many nieces and nephews and many Friends in the Ottawa area. Friends may call at the M'Chigeeng Complex on Tuesday and Wednesday. Michael J. ROY
In loving memory of Michael J. ROY " Joey" born June 16, 1949, passed suddenly at his home on November 21, 2001 in Chicago.
It is with regret we announce the passing of Joey at the age of 52. Fondly remembered by his family and many Friends in Chicago and Manitoulin Island. Joey moved to Chicago in the early 70's and worked for the city of Chicago for many years.
Predeceased by wife Brenda, and brother Tony (Wikwemikong). He will be sadly missed with treasured memories by his mother Mabel of Little Current, brothers Larry (Sandra) of Wikwemikong, Richard (Mabel) of Rudyard, Michigan, Sister-in-law May of Wikwemikong, Sister-in-law Marilyn of Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin, and many nieces and nephews. Visitation was held on Sunday, November 25, 2001 at Cooney's Funeral Home in Chicago with cremation following.
