Joe LAVALLEE, a resident of South Bay, died at his residence on Sunday March
25, 2001. He was born in South Bay,
son of the late David

OSABABINE of Wikwemikong. He was employed as a logger and
carpenter, Joe enjoyed bingo and quilting blankets. He also was involved
with the community on the Education and Housing committees and very active
in the Catholic Church.

Gabriel MISHIBINIJIMA, a resident of South Bay, died at the Manitoulin
Health Centre, Little Current on Monday, May 7, 2001 at the age of 81 years.
He was born in Murray Hill, Wikwemikong,
son of the late François
MISHIBINIJIMA and Rosalie
WEMIGWANS of Wikwemikong. He worked as a logger
and enjoyed bingo, horseshoes, was an excellent checker player, and hunter.
His favourite pastime was watching Saturday night National Hockey League as
well as spending time with his family reminiscing the past.

Shawn ROY, a resident of Ottawa, passed away at Montreal P.Q. at the age of
30 years. He was born in Sudbury, and for the 12 years had been employed as
a computer analyst, working for the Department of National Defence. Shawn
had many interests and hobbies, including roller blading, bicycling,
travelling and computers. Shawn was an extremely talented computer analyst,
and took great pride in his abilities. He was a loving son and brother.
Shawn was loved very much by his family and Friends, and his presence will
be sadly missed.

Joey" born June 16, 1949, passed
suddenly at his home on November 21, 2001 in Chicago.
It is with regret we announce the passing of Joey at the age of 52.
Fondly remembered by his family and many Friends in Chicago and Manitoulin
Island. Joey moved to Chicago in the early 70's and worked for the city of
Chicago for many years.
Predeceased by wife Brenda, and brother Tony (Wikwemikong). He will
be sadly missed with treasured memories by his mother Mabel of Little
Current, brothers Larry (Sandra) of Wikwemikong, Richard (Mabel) of
Rudyard, Michigan, Sister-in-law May of Wikwemikong, Sister-in-law
Marilyn of Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin, and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Sunday, November 25, 2001 at Cooney's Funeral
Home in Chicago with cremation following.
