November 9, 1937-September 2, 2001.
Tom PORTER, a resident of Gore Bay, died at the Manitoulin Health
Centre, Little Current, on Sunday, September 2, 2001, at the age of
63 years. He was born in Sudbury,
son of the late Thomas Reginald and
Annie Margaret
{BUCHANAN}
PORTER.
Tommy had taught school from 1969-1979, in Gore Bay, Capreol and
lastly in West Bay at Manitoulin Secondary School. In his earlier years, he enjoyed figure
skating. Tom also enjoyed reading and arts and entertainment. He will
be sadly missed by his Friends and loving family.

PORTER and his wife Linda of Sault Ste. Marie, and
sister-in-law Eldene and her husband Buck
LONGHURST of Sault Ste.
Marie. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by
brother Godfrey.
Tom's request was that there was to be no visitation or funeral
service. Cremation will take place followed by burial of ashes.
A memorial service will take place on Saturday, August 31, 2002.
