In loving memory of Betty (née

FRASER, 79 years of Sudbury,
who passed away Friday, January 5th, 2001 at the Sudbury Regional
Hospital - Laurentian Site. Born in London, England, she married
Charles FRASER in 1945 in London, England. Betty came to Sudbury in 1949
from Campbellford. She was a Roman Catholic who belonged to St.
Patrick’s Parish. She had served in the Royal Army during World War
II and she was a former member of The Royal Canadian Legion Branch
#564 Lockerby. She was an accomplished knitter whose beautiful
afgans are treasured by children, grandchildren and even family
pets. The light of Betty’s life shone brightly on all who knew her.
Her wonderful sense of humour, she generously shared with others
whether her extended family members in her neighbours at Caswell
Apts or her devoted and loving family especially her grandchildren
who fondly called her “Nanny”. Always quick to help others, Betty
inspired many with her courageous journey during her illness. Betty
will be remembered as a beautiful woman on the outside when she
would dress up and on the inside with her love of life. She leaves
the legacy of her smile which touched everyone who met her and will
bring comfort to those who now say good-bye to her in this world so
she can join her husband in heaven. Beloved wife of Charles
