In loving memory of Helen
McMAHON, 72 years of Whitefish who passed
away Friday morning, January 5th, 2001 at Sudbury Regional Hospital - Laurentian Site.
She was born in Creighton and married Robert “Bob”
McMAHON in 1949 in Maryhill.
She had worked in retail sales at Cochrane’s in Lively, and Robert Brown Jewellers and Eatons in
Sudbury for many years retiring in 1979. Helen was a member of St.
Pius X Catholic Church in Lively and in later years Christ the King
in Sudbury. Helen loved her camp on Lake Panache and spent many a
summer tendering to her garden and flowers, enjoying the sauna,
boating and swimming. Helen also loved the winters and was one of
the original snowmobilers often speeding down the lake on a 1966 Ten
horsepower Ski-Doo in a one piece pink suit with a white fur collar.
God love her! Beloved wife of Robert “Bob” McMahon of Whitefish.
Loving mother of Ron McMahon (wife Katherine) of Sudbury. Cherished
grandmother of John Robert McMahon. Dear daughter of Andrew and
Susan Petrenko predeceased. Dear sister of John (wife Irene) both
predeceased and Martin of Montreal. Memorial Visitation at the
Lougheed Funeral Home, 252 Regent St. at Hazel St. Sunday, January
7th, 2001 7 - 9 pm. Cremation at the Parklawn Crematorium. Donations
to the Alzheimer’s Society would be appreciated.

Lidano
In loving memory of Lidano
DIMARIO, 66 years of age. His family announces his
passing on Sunday, January 7th, 2001 quietly surrounded by his family at the
Sudbury Regional Hospital - Laurentian Site, after a brief illness.
Lidano was born in Sezze Romano (Latina) Italy on October 9, 1934.
He came to Canada from France in April, 1956 and settled in Sudbury where he
met and married Maria (Nella)
DIMARIO (née
BIANCONI) in February, 1960. He
worked at Cecutti’s Bakery until he started at
INCO in 1967. He
retired in October, 1997 after 30 years of service. He took great pride in
his gardening and sharing his harvest with neighbours. As a young man in
Italy and
in France he played on several soccer teams.
He was very active in mixed league bowling at Plaza Bowl, where he
received many bowling awards over the years. He was a member of the
INCO
Quarter
Century
Club, the Caruso Club and the I.O.F. Lidano was
a gentle man and was happiest when in the company of his loving
family and Friends. His home was always open to anyone in need.
