VANHORN Frederick
The family announces with sorrow his death, Thursday, December 28th, 2000, at Extendicare Falconbridge, at the age of 81 years, with his wife by his side. son of the late Norman VANHORN and the late Grace VANHORN {née HEAD} . Beloved husband of Lucy VANHORN {nee PEAK} of Sudbury. Loving step-father of Robert FLETCHER (wife Norma) of Washington. Sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his grandchildren Lorraine, Leslie, Allyson, Heather, Kenneth, Ian, Caulder and Blake. Mr. VANHORN was retired from INCo having worked in the Transportation Department. At Frederick's request, there will be no visitation nor service. Donation to the Geneva House or to the Starlight Foundation would be appreciated.

Reola Mae McMURRAY
In loving memory of Reola Mae McMURRAY, August 5 1944-December 1 2001.
Reola McMURRAY, a resident of Mindemoya, died at the Mindemoya Hospital on Saturday, December 1, 2001 at the age of 57 years. She was born at Manitowaning, daughter of the late Leonard and Marjorie {BRYANT} MOGGY. On September 15, 1962, she married Kenneth McMURRAY, who predeceased her November 4, 1976. Reola was a member of the Stamp Club, the Manitowaning Choir, and spent much time being a hockey and figure skating mom, as well as quilting and crocheting, reading books and interested in genealogy. Reola raised her young family on her own after the death of Kenneth, Her memory will be cherished by her children and grandchildren and other family members. Her presence in the community will be sadly missed.
Reola was predeceased by her husband Kenneth McMURRAY. Dearly loved mother and mother in law of Sheila and Ed McDERMID of Providence Bay Connie and Eugene MIRON of Chelmsford,Kim KELLY and Larry PEARCE of Sault Ste. Marie Tammy and Robert GARDINER of Lively and Chris and Jennifer McMURRAY of Ottawa. Proud grandmother of 11, Shannon, Marissa, Michael, Crystal, Victoria, Alanna, Anthony, Logan, Tyler, Riley and Kyla. Dear sister of Henry, Leonard, Calvin, Dennis, Lyman, Marvin, Robbie, Donny, Jamie, Mabel, Blossom and Ruby. Also survived by many aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces and their families. Predeceased by son Kenneth Jr., Mina and brother Nelson. Friends called the Mindemoya United Church on Monday. The funeral
service was held Tuesday with Reverend Mary Jo Eckert Tracy
officiating. Interment in the Hilly Grove Cemetery, Manitowaning.

Timothy Norris PEARSON
In loving memory of Timothy Norris PEARSON, June 7 1963 - January 11 2001.
Tim PEARSON, a resident of Mindemoya, died at his residence on Thursday, January 11 2001 at the age of 37 years.
He was born in Mindemoya, son of Jean {SPRY} PEARSON and the late Norris PEARSON. Tim owned and operated the Tim PEARSON Landscaping and Haulage business since 1992. He was a member of the Mindemoya Volunteer Firemen, the OFA, and the Anglers and Hunters. He had many interests, including playing hockey, hunting, fishing, skiing and traveling. He particularly loved to drive his dump truck. Tim enjoyed many things in life, and when a young life has ended, it takes its toll on family and the community. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him. Loved husband of Annette PEARSON. Loving son of Jean PEARSON of Mindemoya, and grand_son of Jennie SPRY of Gore Bay. Also survived by niece and nephew, Eva and Chad PEARSON. Predeceased by his father Norris, and brothers Tom and Mike. The funeral service was conducted at the Mindemoya United Church on Monday January 15 2001 at 11: 00 am. with Reverend Mary Jo Eckert Tracy officiating. Spring interment in Providence Bay Cemetery.

Melvin LISCUMB
In loving memory Melvin LISCUMB, May 29, 1915-August 19, 2001.
Melvin LISCUMB, a resident of the Manitoulin Centennial Manor, Little Current, died at the Manor on Sunday, August 19, 2001 at the age of 86 years. He was born in Sandfield, son of the late Tobias and Nancy {ROBINSON} LISCUMB. Melvin had worked at a variety of jobs over the years, and the last being for the Department of Highways, for 25 years, retiring in the late '70s. He was a member of the Community of Christ Church and had many interests including cutting wood, gardening, fixing things and visiting with Friends and neighbours. He will be sadly missed by family and Friends. Dearly loved husband of Catherine (HALLETT) LISCUMB. Loving and loved father and father-in-law of Lyle and Gayle LISCUMB of Milton, Joan and Don McMURRAY of Tehkummah, Marlene MOORE of Sudbury and Robert and Peggie LISCUMB of Sudbury. Proud grandfather of Jerry, Krista, Shawn, Craig, Lisa, Paul and Melanie and great grandchildren Peter, Emily, Dustin, Hailey and Morgan. Dear brother of Mina STOAKLEY of Mindemoya and sister-in-law Lillian LISCUMB of Oakville. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by children Jackie in 1953, Rosella in 1969, grandchildren Mary Ann and Travis and brothers Elsworth, Harry and Ernie and sisters Verna PATTERSON and Violet PEARSON.
The funeral service was conducted on Wednesday, August 22, 2001 with Mr. Weston LEESON and Mr. Lyle DEWAR officiating. Interment in Providence Bay Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Culgin Funeral Home, Gore Bay.
